I want to stop new messages from scolling across the screen. I have tried disabling notifications in settings but this also seems to stop the message alert tone. I want to know I've got a message but not be able to read it until the phone is unlocked.

2. Is there any way to add more than 5 home screens?I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia mini pro, not rooted(not intending to). I like the default home launcher very much, and I wouldn't like to switch.
The language bar won't automatically disappear when scrolling through contacts after composing a message gets very annoying as the language bar prevents using the whole screen to scroll.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased an unlocked Verizon Storm2 9550 from the U.S. I am located in Canada and my carrier is Rogers.
When I got my phone, I took out the SIM card that was in it from the oriinal owner and inserted a Rogers SIM card that I have been using on a number of older Blackberries for about 7 years now. The SIM card series is 8930 2720 3040 3168 7436.
My new 9550 was configured for use on our enterprise server at work. When it works, it's a pleasure. However it is prone to frequent freezing issues - not complete freezing but, rather, the screen doesn't seem to fully click, I lose scrolling through messages functionality, I can never stay within an email. It's really a hodge-podge which is annoying enough that I have to do a battery-removal reboot. (Incidentally, is it normal that it takes about 3 minutes for the unit to reboot?)
Here are my questions:
1) Does anyone know how to resolve the annoying and persistent freezing?
2) Might the freezing relate to the old SIM card? Is there any preferred SIM card that I should be lookingn for?
3) Is there any chance that I could get 3G to work? Right now, only 2G works.
4) Might it be an OS problem? Here are the details that show up :

The screen on my Z5 has become over sensitive and when scrolling it keeps opening pages or links even when I hardly touch the screen. Indeed while typing this sort paragraph it's taking longer because the keyboard is entering letters for me. I have already rebooted the phone reinstalled software and was OK for a while. But now it's back. Impossible to go on to Facebook as I can't scroll down without opening every link.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSince upgrading the phone to V21.0.045 I've had intermittent problems with the touch screen vibrate stopping working, which has fixed itself after a reboot. Also the unreliable slide lock problem has returned with this update. Now, as of this evening vibrate and even the small kick given when you switch on has stopped working. Not fixable by a reboot or taking the battery out.
I'm wondering if this is a hardware issue, simply worn out after 7 months or to do with V21? Can't reinstall V21, the new version of updater won't let me do it.
Have set the screen timeout to 2 minutes; it changes to 30 seconds automatically within the same day.
Please suggest how to fix this issue?
I've had my BB Torch for 7 months now and I've always had this problem where it will automatically scroll through the icons or scroll down through the messages if I happen to have message open. I don't know how to stop it, I end up turning the phone off and on again and it stops it from happening, but it is only a temporary fix as it always starts up again. it also seems to cause my BB to freeze on me.

My screen keeps scrolling down automatically when a bright light hits the screen. Make it hard to use outside. Trying to make a phone call, read text, email, or even just scrolling through apps is very difficult because the screen scrolls down to the very bottom very quickly. When I scoll back up, it scrolls right back to the bottom. When I'm not outside or a bright glare is not on the screen it works great.

This happened after the battery got low so it turned it self off and then when its recharged it seems to revert back to a date in the past. I chose wait everytime and everything seemed ok, except for being really really slow. Today I got the same message when sending a text, but it didnt give me the option to "wait" and I had to press "force close". Well, it then showed me as having NO text messages in my history....I have lost them all. Anyway i put the battery back in and now i can't recieve text messages, i recieve the notification for them and so i click to view but they have dissapeared from my inbox so i have no idea what any of my messages say.
