Xperia X10 Mini/pro :: Possible To Export SMS Messages?
Jul 15, 2011
I have some SMS messages on my experia x10 mini that are of immense sentimental value. I'm concerned that through normal ware and tear they could be lost, does anyone know if its possible to export the SMS messages via a USB or some other way I'm not aware of ?
I already made a backup of my contacts within the phone, but I want to export the complete list to my PC.- I used the "send all contacts" option, and could send the "sendAll.vcf" file to my mail, but when I tried opening it with Outlook, I could only see one contact which is the first on the list.I also tried syncronizing the contacts with my Gmail account but I cant find them there. Finally I copied the backup folder from the phone to my PC, but I dont know if I can restore it from there.
I do not have the option to export contacts to SIM or save to SD card - the only menu option available to me is to import from SIM - I need to save the contacts to my SIM/SD
I just updated my Xperia Mini Pro, but after the update, a) new text messages appear at the bottom of the list of texts (so annoying!) and b) the newest text message does not appear on the list when I reply to it.Is this a bug? I really don't think it's a feature.
I would like to backup my PIN messages in a format that is readable by a device (any device) other than my blackberry. Is there a way to export, archive, or sync them? For example, is there a way to get them on my computer as a text file/s or doc? Or sync it with my gmail from my blackberry?Right now the PIN messages are included in the IPD file when I backup my Blackberry to my desktop, but that file isn't readable by anything other than the berry, as far as I know.I have a Blackberry 9000 (Bold)
I can't open messages on my xperia mini. Its showing me I have 9 unread messages all received over the last few days but when I go into messages it shows nothing. This happened after the battery got low so it turned it self off and then when its recharged it seems to revert back to a date in the past. I have turned on and off, deleted some messages, reset date and time - all make no difference.
I was having problems with my x10 mini pro over the weekend when sending texts, it was being really slow and kept saying there was a problem with the messaging application and asked me if i wanted to "force a close" or "wait". I chose wait everytime and everything seemed ok, except for being really really slow. Today I got the same message when sending a text, but it didnt give me the option to "wait" and I had to press "force close". Well, it then showed me as having NO text messages in my history....I have lost them all. I went in the Vodofone shop and he said they are gone for good....does anyone know anyway I can get them back? Some of them are really special to me and I hate the thought of losing them all like that with no warning
"where have all my old texts gone?". I have connected the phone via the usb to my computer and saying there is nothing to restore! where are all my old texts?
Have had this problem since I got the phone (the only problem I have with it btw). Can connect to the internet just fine. But whether I download the MMS settings or manually input them. When I send an MMS it gets Queued when I recieve one, I hit download but it doesn't download.
i took the battery out of my phone because it wasn't charging (turned out it was because the power was out). Anyway i put the battery back in and now i can't recieve text messages, i recieve the notification for them and so i click to view but they have dissapeared from my inbox so i have no idea what any of my messages say. It's really annoying as i rely on my phone heavily and not being able to read messages makes using the phone really difficult.
I have a problem with my text messages. In a convesation there are too many text messages and the now the conversation is stuck. I can't see any of my messages right now and I was wondering if there is something that I could do for it. I don't want to delete these messages.
We have an Xperia X10 mini pro that can not receive sms/txt messages. We already received a new SIM card and the problem still exists. Can this be in connection with a message: the memory will reach its limit (or somethign like it)
I updated my phone since it had become really slow and I was facing a lot of problems with it.. I used the Backup and restore app and took backup of my data. After the update, however, when I tried to restore my data, I get the error msg that the ' Cannot read selected backup file'I have lost a lot of very important contacts n msgs..
How i can copy all my sms text messages from my old mobile which is a nokia symbian s60 to the se xperia x10 mini pro please because i cant see how and i dont think i can do it through the sync program, it only seems contacts can be copied over from the old phone through the sync program.
Since a few weeks now, i don't receive all text messages that are sent to my phone by contacts anymore.I can't pin an exact number how much messages are 'gone missing', but for example, yesterday i was texting the whole day with a friend, and of the on average 25 messages she sent, 3 never reached my phone. Also, sometimes when i get a message the text stops in midway and it ends with a piece of text from another message, that i received weeks ago. However, this problem has dimished over the past weeks. By the way, i have to add, i'm thinking of doing a factory reset, but for that i need to save all my contacts. i tried exporting all my contacts to my sim (using the import/export function in contacts),but when i used my sim on an older phone, only half of my contacts were transferred.I have to add that i got a notification that the sim was full, so some data wasn't transferred.
I was looking at the backup and restore funcition on my phone,I accidently hit the restore button but then cancelled the restore. I then went to sent a message and got a error message saying cannot connect please try later. I then turned phone off then on again and all my messages are away and it has stored only a selected few that have got pictures, it has also deleted some of my contacts! Can anyone help me to try retrieve my messages and contacts.
When I turn my phone on in the morning I often get messages from the night before from drunken mates However, the phone tells me the receive time (i.e. now), not the time the message was sent (which my old SE W302 would do). I've loaded Handcent to see if that helped but it does the same thing.
locate where I can urn off the notification sound when i send a text message. It is incredibly annoying. I only seem to be able to change the notification of received and sent messages at same time and I do not want this to be on silent as I would like to know when i get a message. I recently upraged to andrid 2.1.
I want to stop new messages from scolling across the screen. I have tried disabling notifications in settings but this also seems to stop the message alert tone. I want to know I've got a message but not be able to read it until the phone is unlocked.
My memorie is full and I would like to know how to convert my text messages from my phone to my computer. I've been looking for the answer for days and I've been downloading all kinds of programs, unsuccessfully.
