View 1 RepliesI already made a backup of my contacts within the phone, but I want to export the complete list to my PC.- I used the "send all contacts" option, and could send the "sendAll.vcf" file to my mail, but when I tried opening it with Outlook, I could only see one contact which is the first on the list.I also tried syncronizing the contacts with my Gmail account but I cant find them there. Finally I copied the backup folder from the phone to my PC, but I dont know if I can restore it from there.

View 2 Replies View RelatedDid two different bacups, and I am positive that I did backup of contacts. Also did a bacup of all contacts on my online account at [URL] Did an upgrade of android 1.6 -> 2.1.
I ran restore. Everythinge else is restored, just not one single Name or Number. No contacts. Tried both bacups several times, I get a confirmation that the restore is done. Still nothing.
Hooked it up to my PC, and performed a sync with my page on sonyericsson.com. Nothing. It's always a small disaster to loose all numbers and names. I still have them all, I just can't get my phone to give a ****, it seems.
( Also tried installing the new Backup & Restore (1. Nov), [URL], but it gives me the message "not installed" every time i try. Nothing more. I think maybe it's because I might allready have that program on my phone)
I've only had this pig of a phone a month and twice I've had to restore factory settings because I couldn't send texts or see my contacts, which means that I also had to re-do all my settings.
The messages I've had are - Activity Contacts (in application Contacts) is not responding. Force close or WaitSorry! Activity Messaging (in application Messaging) is not responding. Force close or WaitSorry! The application Messaging (process com.sonyericsson.conversations) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Force close
Turning the phone off and on doesn't help and the failing applications aren't there in Settings > Applications > Running Services, so I've performed Factory Data Reset, not SD card, then done all my settings again. This is really bugging me.
The phone is up to date, with Android version 2.3.4
When I click on the touch screen to make a call and want to quickly find a name in the contacts I have to type in the name onle letter (and a few presses) at a time or open the keyboard. I can't select the 'quick text' option.

When i synced contacts, the facebook contacts are not coming as phone contacts. So i cant use these contacts in many apps since they are not phone contacts. How to copy all contacts to phone contacts?
View 1 Replies View Relatedthought everything was ok with my phone, (experia mini, new software) but for some reason when I tap the contacts icon on the bottom of the screen, my contacts are not there, only my own name. I can search for names in messaging and everyone from my phone contacts, to my facebook friends and even Fearne cotton from twitter is there! I would like just my phone contacts visible in my phone book. I've tried to back up contacts from before the software update yesterday, and it takes ages to get through to 100% but the names are still missing

View 1 Replies View RelatedI need to export my wife's S6 telephone contacts in a format that can be imported into Google's contacts so that she can email them from her office computer. Wasn't difficult on my Note 4 but can't seem to figure out the best way to do this on the S6. Is there a certain contact manager that will import them from her phone and then export them correctly? Contacts+ doesn't seem to work worth a crap for this.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been a happy user of a K790A for a few years. Now it's time to move on. I'm thinking of mortgaging the house and buying a Google Nexus One ;-)The question uppermost in my tiny mind is how to get the data from the K790A to the Nexus. I have been using FloAT's Mobile Agent 2 for some time.
Q: Is there a way to link FloAT's Agent to the Nexus?
Q: Is there a way to export either from the K790 or FloAT's Agent in a format that could be imported by the Nexus?
Q: Does anyone have a better idea?

None of the radios work, so export has to be either to the SD card or via USB to a PC. Installing any apps to do this unfortunately has to be via the same route as well.

View 19 Replies View RelatedMy goal is to make a back up of my iPhone contacts, preferably in a printed list. I figured the way to do that would be to somehow merge my phone contacts into my Google Contacts on my MacBook (however, I do not want to merge my Gmail Contacts into my phone, as there are 100s of contacts there I do not want/need on my phone, so I am proceeding cautiously). Under Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar >iCloud. I have Contacts "On" (but have not done an iCloud backup FWIW because I am not sure my data is less than 5gb). Doing this alone does not work.
