Aug 29, 2013This is to report a repeated problem on my smartphone. I purchased it on 21 Jun 2014. Within 1 year it developed a problem wherein the main camera stopped responding (black screen) along with flashlight remaining continuously on once selected on manually (have to restart the phone for flashlight to go off). This was rectified in month of May 2015.
The same problem repeated itself in the month of July 2015 and phone was again repaired/ rectified. Both times it felt under warranty and there were no charges paid. The only issue was twice the phone got formatted wasting my time and effort in backing up and reinstalling the desired software. Now last since last month the same problem has re-occurred.

Aug 18, 2011My camera cannot be open. I am always getting a message saying that the camera is being used by another application,but there seems no other applications running. The firmware version was 2.1 -update1 at first and after updating it with the same version, the problem still exists with very short standby time.

Next is when you take picture. When u go to photo albums. You see a link below saying open in Nokia camera. How come pics have that link and others don't? I took some smartcam pics too look at later and can't open it up and do the action shots and other stuff.

May 25, 2010i have for over 8 months a nokia n97. besides all the other issues that i already gave up on complaining, there's a camera issue that's ultra-annoying and that will lead me to take the phone to a nokia care center. the camera only works around 20% of the times... i press the camera button, or slide the lens windows, and the camera function gets turned on but i can only see a black screen, no image. sometimes rebooting the phone gets the camera to work, but not all the times, and even if it gets working, after some shots the problem reappears. when this issue occurs the video playback also doesn't work (for recorded videos and even for Internet) .i've already tried hard reseting the phone, installing the latest available firmware update (20.0.0.19), and the problem only keeps getting worst.from what i could see from google, there's several people complaining about this (example http://www.zedge.net/forum/t/73008/nokia-n97-camera-problem/ or http://www.Internet.com/watch?v=a8flxtl3bqy ).what i'd like to know is if anyone had this issue, and how did nokia solved it (or not) ?

Feb 27, 2010My Curve has developed a camera issue.It worked fine within the last 2-3 months (but I havent used it for a while) and has been working up to that point with no issues.When I go to take a picture, I can see the image, but it has a red, "negative" type tint to it.Also, it appears that the "low light" function of brightening the image up does not engage or work.When I take the picture, the flash will flash, but the image displayed on the screen at that time displays a solid white (blank) screen. I can not take another picture from there. it seems like the app might be locked up.The only thing I can do at that point is to press the red cancel button which brings me back to my home screen.The picture is not saved. I can then take another picture, but the same thing happens.The video camera works, but has the same "red tinted", negative type of image on it.It will record, and playback but the image appears as it is ciewed in the viewfinder. With the red tint/negative type of image. Sound is fine. I can also view previously recorded picture and videos with prefect clarity.The pone works properly in all other aspects and the only issue I have ever had with it has been a battery. I replaced thre battery two weeks ago because it would go dead quickly. The new battery works well.I have done a full battery pull. No change to the camera issue.Any thoughts?

Apr 30, 2012When I plug in my iphone 4 to my macbook pro (running OS X) itunes opens and syncs the iphone normally. I then open iphoto to uplaod the photos from the camera roll. This always used to work just fine. I would click the iphone on the left, all the pics would come up, and I would click download all images. Done. Now all of a sudden when I open iphoto the phone shows up on the menu bar at the left like normal. However when I click on it none of the photos show up. The computer doesn't see any of the pics in the camera roll and acts as if the iphone has no pics on it. The pics are taken with both the original camera app as well as Camera+. I don't understand what changed.
Along the same lines... Can I bypass this issue by using itunes to sync the photos? When itunes syncs I see that it says "downloading photos" but I can't find where it downloads them to.

Jun 24, 2014with some important photos, they are showing up blank in the Camera Roll and the Photos app. Videos are the same however the videos display a time stamp leading me to think they are somehow stall available and just not displaying.

Oct 7, 2011I have problem with my X6-00 16GB primary camera. When I turn camera on, screen stays black, only this focusing white box and other symbols are visible on screen. But no picture. When I push "take picture button", then focusing box starts blinking and stays like this, until camera goes standby mode. Secondary camera, in front of the phone is working fine. Also I have a Flashlight program (Brightlight v1.0) on my phone and it doesn't turn camera flash on, like it should be.
I gave my phone to friend who reset phone to the factory settings. After that camera worked for a while, but one day it was again black. I have done a couple of times software reinstall with nokia ovi suite on my computer. After that camera works couple of days or only couple of hours and then goes black again. Software version is the newest for that phone, v32.0.002.

Secondly, i had tried to download some of the many pictures i have shot on my IPhone (great having a camera in my pocket) but the IPhoto on my older MAC powerbook G4 laptop (running OS X 10.5.8) insists on starting at the beginning of all the pictures, even though i say not to download the duplicates, and gets hung up/frozen halfway through ignoring the duplicates and freezes up, so i never get to download the new ones. Why is this? How can i choose just the new ones for I-Photo to import?
