i have for over 8 months a nokia n97. besides all the other issues that i already gave up on complaining, there's a camera issue that's ultra-annoying and that will lead me to take the phone to a nokia care center. the camera only works around 20% of the times... i press the camera button, or slide the lens windows, and the camera function gets turned on but i can only see a black screen, no image. sometimes rebooting the phone gets the camera to work, but not all the times, and even if it gets working, after some shots the problem reappears. when this issue occurs the video playback also doesn't work (for recorded videos and even for Internet) .i've already tried hard reseting the phone, installing the latest available firmware update (20.0.0.19), and the problem only keeps getting worst.from what i could see from google, there's several people complaining about this (example http://www.zedge.net/forum/t/73008/nokia-n97-camera-problem/ or http://www.Internet.com/watch?v=a8flxtl3bqy ).what i'd like to know is if anyone had this issue, and how did nokia solved it (or not) ?

A small, hazy and transparent dot appears on the screen when my 4s camera is in use. I know it's not on the lens because I've wiped it clean. The dot moves when the camera moves. It just started today.

When I plug in my iphone 4 to my macbook pro (running OS X) itunes opens and syncs the iphone normally. I then open iphoto to uplaod the photos from the camera roll. This always used to work just fine. I would click the iphone on the left, all the pics would come up, and I would click download all images. Done. Now all of a sudden when I open iphoto the phone shows up on the menu bar at the left like normal. However when I click on it none of the photos show up. The computer doesn't see any of the pics in the camera roll and acts as if the iphone has no pics on it. The pics are taken with both the original camera app as well as Camera+. I don't understand what changed.
Along the same lines... Can I bypass this issue by using itunes to sync the photos? When itunes syncs I see that it says "downloading photos" but I can't find where it downloads them to.

with some important photos, they are showing up blank in the Camera Roll and the Photos app. Videos are the same however the videos display a time stamp leading me to think they are somehow stall available and just not displaying.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI've recently purchased a Huwaei Nexus 6P. It's fantastic in every way including the camera... That is of course, when I can get the app to work. I use the camera to take pictures and occasionally video about 5% of the time. The app just hangs on the screen just before the viewfinder appears, and the only way to get the camera working again is to reboot the phone! It's incredibly frustrating, because everything about this phone is flawless!

Whenever I sign into Hotmail using Safari on my iPhone 3GS, the Windows Live Homepage is just blank and there is no inbox summary, reminders, or anything like before. Basically nothing. I didn't change any settings on my iPhone or on my Hotmail account. This just randomly occured one day. Since then, I've tried turning my iPhone on/off, clearing the Safari history/cookeis/cache, and playing around with a few small options but nothing seems to solve this issue.

View 3 Replies View RelatedThis is to report a repeated problem on my smartphone. I purchased it on 21 Jun 2014. Within 1 year it developed a problem wherein the main camera stopped responding (black screen) along with flashlight remaining continuously on once selected on manually (have to restart the phone for flashlight to go off). This was rectified in month of May 2015.
The same problem repeated itself in the month of July 2015 and phone was again repaired/ rectified. Both times it felt under warranty and there were no charges paid. The only issue was twice the phone got formatted wasting my time and effort in backing up and reinstalling the desired software. Now last since last month the same problem has re-occurred.
I can use other input methods but when I select Swype the keyboard never appears. Is there a way to re-install it?
View 5 Replies View RelatedOkay, I recently got a replacement blackberry and used the device switch wizard to switch from my old Blackberry 8520 to my new Blackberry 8520. At first, I had a few problems with the Twitter and Facebook apps, but thanks to rcnathan, that's under control.
But now there's a new problem: email. Neither of my email addresses work (@*.blackberry.net or my personal email) and anytime I try to send something, a red X immediately appears next to it.
My Curve has developed a camera issue.It worked fine within the last 2-3 months (but I havent used it for a while) and has been working up to that point with no issues.When I go to take a picture, I can see the image, but it has a red, "negative" type tint to it.Also, it appears that the "low light" function of brightening the image up does not engage or work.When I take the picture, the flash will flash, but the image displayed on the screen at that time displays a solid white (blank) screen. I can not take another picture from there. it seems like the app might be locked up.The only thing I can do at that point is to press the red cancel button which brings me back to my home screen.The picture is not saved. I can then take another picture, but the same thing happens.The video camera works, but has the same "red tinted", negative type of image on it.It will record, and playback but the image appears as it is ciewed in the viewfinder. With the red tint/negative type of image. Sound is fine. I can also view previously recorded picture and videos with prefect clarity.The pone works properly in all other aspects and the only issue I have ever had with it has been a battery. I replaced thre battery two weeks ago because it would go dead quickly. The new battery works well.I have done a full battery pull. No change to the camera issue.Any thoughts?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have problem with my X6-00 16GB primary camera. When I turn camera on, screen stays black, only this focusing white box and other symbols are visible on screen. But no picture. When I push "take picture button", then focusing box starts blinking and stays like this, until camera goes standby mode. Secondary camera, in front of the phone is working fine. Also I have a Flashlight program (Brightlight v1.0) on my phone and it doesn't turn camera flash on, like it should be.
I gave my phone to friend who reset phone to the factory settings. After that camera worked for a while, but one day it was again black. I have done a couple of times software reinstall with nokia ovi suite on my computer. After that camera works couple of days or only couple of hours and then goes black again. Software version is the newest for that phone, v32.0.002.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHaving a weird issue with my screen. Occasionally, (about 5 times in the last 2 weeks) when I grab my phone, the screen does not come on. I can see the multifunction buttons light up, I can swipe the screen and hear the sound for the unlock, and if I tap on the screen it does not light up and screen stays black.
If I hold power, it does not reboot. if I push home it does nothing, but I can hear that the phone is on, if a call comes through I can hear it ring, and can answer from my home button, but the screen stays black.
I can do a battery pull and phone starts fine. It is as if the backlight is not coming on at all at times, or possibly like a proximity sensor is not allowing the phone to recognize that the screen should be off.
Cannot tell if it is a hardware issue or software issue. I have not changed any software since I got it a few weeks back, some software has updated, but this is happening comepletely at random and always when the phone has been locked.
Phone has never been dropped and is in a case and has no screen protector, there is not a mark on the phone at all.
Should I arrange to swap the phone? should I contact my carrier?
I was recently received a brand new Bold 9700 from an aunt in Canada and I had only been using it in the UK for 3 weeks when the screen suddenly went completely white.I can still receive calls, and I can hear bbms and emails arriving but I can't see anything at all. I've have tried the battery pull many times but it still remains the same. I've been told that RIM usually offers a year's warranty on new products but because it was bought in Canada, none of the networks here in the UK are willing to take it in for repair.

Every time I take the battery out and put it back in it begins to load up the blackberry screen, but gets maybe a 1/4 of the way before flashing white and going completely blank. View 4 Replies View RelatedToday, as I got up, I noticed that my blackberry cure 8320 had a white screen. This has never happened before, so I just removed the battery, and put it back in. Something I noticed was that when I inserted the battery, a steady red light appeared for about six seconds, and the screen was completely blank. Thinking that this would go away, I stepped outside, and I got a call. The screen was still black.
I was able to answer the call perfectly fine, but I couldn't interact with it in any other way other than the voice command button. The blackberry I have is unlocked. I ordered it online from BestBuy. It's a T-Mobile blackberry running on AT&T. I've also tried to connect it to my laptop, and it works fine. I've re-installed my OS (4.5), restored it, deleted everything on it, and still no luck.
My husbands phone has just stopped working has a blank screen won't turn on or charge etc. Is there a way he can get all his contacts and pics off it. It doesn't have a passcode on it.
