How can I surf the internet through a wifi network which is proxy enabled. There is an option to enter SSID and password, but the option to provide a proxy IP and port for wi-fi network is not available.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just bought my Hazel yesterday night, trying the WiFi n widget (which only appear in some theme and have 5 widgets appear) and found that a lot of the applications are not there, so as advice in written in paper inside the box, I downloaded the update service software into PC and update to my phone this morning and while doing a light browsing, was amaze that I have whole lot of new applications, games and even theme, but at later of the day, I found out that the I cant surf the net through WiFi, I was able to connect to WiFi, but was unable to surf the Internet.

After I update my nokia browser as suggestion of nokia internet in my nokia C2-03, I can't surf internet after open the browser application in the apps. and game list. It shown up a message of "error is occurred. Unable to complete operation (006)." after I start the nokia new browser with my C2-03 and select which line to be used. Android 2.1, Network to GSM only, WiFi enabled only when I'm using the internet and the screen brightness to medium. I have "Advanced Task Killer" on Auto-Kill and "Juice Defender" enabled on Default. I have charged it i think 8-9 times since I got it. I have always plugged it when the phone said that it needs charging. Should I had left it discharge completely? Yesterday, I charged my phone in the afternoon and I didn't use it at all! Today, when I woke up, my battery was at 75% !!! Why is that happening???

I've literally tried everything that XDA, reddit, and other miscellaneous sites have told me to do and all of them have the same 3-4 ways to get this to work and none do.
Resetting wifi, airplane mode, rebooting, resetting network settings, restored a backup, reflashed a ROM, and went back to stock.. nothing. I also tried go into Netgear dashboard WiFi Settings and change the auto channel but that method doesn't seem to be an option for me, it's either "Auto" or number 1 through 10. Or 5G is auto and numbers in the 100s.
All other devices connect to my wifi no problem, and my Nexus 6P was just fine up until about 2hours ago.

so in the Option > advance setting > TCP/ip i set my APN to mtnirancell but still i cant get and send or recive over EDGE.i have to setup Wap Proxy and Http.so how can i setup these stuff in my BB? the Service provider cant help me cuz they dont even know Blackberry.
I am trying to use PC suite to connect to internet. It says connected but nothing works. I need to define proxy settings but I cant find where to. In help it says if it uses proxy settings uncheck server settings but I cant find any of this.

I configure the wifi as follows: Wi-Fi --> Select the wifi --> I select Manual Proxy HTTP --> I type the server and port, enable authentication and type the username and password. Now, when I open Safari, I can navigate without problem. However, Safari is the only application that works: I cannot read my mail through the generic Mail application, nor enter in Facebook application, Twitter, Skype and so on. However, I can enter, for example, into Facebook through Safari.
I guess that not all the applications of the device run using the proxy enabled in the Wi-Fi options but the should, shouldn't them?

I was in a client site and neither my Droid4 nor Xoom would connect out to the Internet. It showed network connected (IP address given). My Lenovo laptop did not connect either until another techy said look at LAN settings. I checked automatically detect settings on the laptop and was connected through to the Internet.I do not see a similar function on the phone and droid. Since I was in Europe at the time, WiFi was better than network data usage ($$$).Is there a setting in the Droid & Xoom?
