Xperia X10 Mini/pro :: Access & Manage Email Attachments?

On Android 2.1, how do I access and manage email attachments? I've sent myself a simple email with a simple MS Word attachment to a regular Pop email account: the inbox list display shows a paperclip against the item, but if I open the email there is no indication of an attachment. If I long press on the email header, there's a message 'cannot view attachment'. The same email sent to Gmail shows the attachment, with a 'preview' button. If I press that the attachment appears in a viewer of some sort (the browser?).
What can I do with an attachment, beyond just viewing it?

When sending large attachments (numerous pictures), the email stays in an endless loop in the outbox even though the email has been sent.(Recepient receives email, but the email stays in the outbox saying "email could not be sent")Also, when receiving emails with multiple pictures not all pictures are accessible, why?

Was wondering where these are saved on the htc one? Where and how do you access these? I remember a long time ago I had to use something like Linda file manager or file explorer app. I would be very surprised if there wasn't a default app in jellybean that allows you to do this.

Bought this phone a week ago and went through nokias messaging set up. Receives email with no problem but no matter what I cannot open my attachments. Tapping on the attachments makes no difference and does not select them into another screen (if you know what I mean).Help please I have asked nokia and my phone provider but no replies using the support email systems?

I've had some Word (doc, etc) attachments send to me via email and when i click on it it says 'cannot view attachment'. How do i view them? I have downloaded OpenOffice reader from the Market but can't see how that works.

I am unable to update Applications or preview attachments in gmail over the mobile network. However, the same is working on the wireless network.I have probably reset my phone to factory settings/repaired the installation atleast 3 times in the past for other problems such as missing entries in call logs, slow response, etc. I am on Anrdroid 2.1 Random reboots happen almost thrice a week and phone response is very slow. I think I should go back to my blackberry.

But for now,I have a basic inquiry.i use aol email(accessed using tmobile web n walk) and need to access music i receive to work on .when i receive a mail over 5mb,i do not have the option to open or save it?why is this(even my old c902 had no limit as such)?also an attachment accessed via my laptop measured at say for instance,4.5mb(a fairly normal music file size) will be increased by 20% or so in size when accessing it via the X10?why?this is pushing most of the files over this 5mb limit(if there is indeed a limit)Would setting up a different email account make any difference or how i view/access my mail?are there any other settings i could change?ive contacted SE and they see no reason for it not to work 'in theory' but havnt actually guided me to any solution.

I tried with both the standard email (error message could not download attachment) app and Nine (progress bar stops) it's not working anymore. I have deleted and re-installed Nine, deleted the email account and added it again, changed the email download size to all, countless restarts, unmount / mount SD card - nothing worked so far.

I have an updated firmware Nokia E71, I use the default web browser and/or opera browser, often while accessing my email accounts from the phone, I find it hard to make attachements or view them properly.I cant attach any files either!! is it supposed to happen or AM i doing something wrong??

Somehow i'm not able to access my settings anymore. It gives the following error code (translated from dutch) 'The application 'Settings' (proces com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again'.I haven't downloaded any new apps recently, no new SIM or SD. I've already tried removing battery, SIM card etc. and putting them back in.

I just purchased a Lumia 950. I want to get a notification sound for each of my email accounts. I went into settings, and into sounds, then into manage app sounds. I only see outlook mail, but I do not see my other email accounts listed. In my old Lumia 920 all of my email accounts are listed under the manage app sounds tab. How I can create notifications sounds for each of my email accounts?

My web browser works perfectly fine.But none of the applications that access the internet - such as gmail, facebook, market, etc. work. They show a "connectivity error" kind of message. am led to think whether there is some global setting that these applications use, which doesn't allow them to access the internet settings somehow?I did a factory reset, I also used the Sony Ericsson update service and did an upgrade to Android 2.1...
