I received a picture via email on my phone and I can set the image as my wallpaper, but I cant see it in my photo album - any ideas how I can save images from e-mail attachments directly into the album - or browse ones that I have received
View 9 RepliesSo I finally set up my photo stream. For about 24 hours it was working. Now when I take a picture it does not save to the photo stream album on my phone. It says that the Photo Stream is ON but it doesnt seem to be working.

I've sent myself a simple email with a simple MS Word attachment to a regular Pop email account: the inbox list display shows a paperclip against the item, but if I open the email there is no indication of an attachment. If I long press on the email header, there's a message 'cannot view attachment'. The same email sent to Gmail shows the attachment, with a 'preview' button. If I press that the attachment appears in a viewer of some sort (the browser?).
What can I do with an attachment, beyond just viewing it?
When sending large attachments (numerous pictures), the email stays in an endless loop in the outbox even though the email has been sent.(Recepient receives email, but the email stays in the outbox saying "email could not be sent")Also, when receiving emails with multiple pictures not all pictures are accessible, why?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI cannot save attachments to the phone or to my external SD card, which is not encrypted. I have no Exchange 2010 security policies blocking attachments. ICS is not set to encrypt anything. I use NitroDesk TouchDown, which also has no saving restrictions or encryption set.I go through the process of Save, or Save All, and try to save, or create a new folder in which to save, and then click to save the file. I can see the new folder I created, but there is never a file saved. Rebooting does not make it show, nor does dismounting and remounting the SD card.Probably related to the above problem, if I have an email in TD with an attachment, for example a DOCX file, I can open it in Documents to Go, but if I do a Save As from there, it will not let me save it anywhere. If I use Docs to Go and create a new Word doc, I can save it anywhere I choose, so it is as though TD will not let me manipulate my attachments.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am brand new to the Nokia 710 and I have my AOL email account linked up to the phone. I am able to send and recieve emails just fine.My problem is that when I try to open/download any attachments like a Word or PDF document that are in the emails, they never open. They start to open but never do. I can open these attachements on my old Palm Pixi rather quickly and without any trouble so I know it is not the files that are the problem.
I've searched both this USA forum and the UK one and didn't see anyone else with the same issue... so did I not set up something properly with the phone?
Just upgraded my wife's phone to the S6 from Verizon Wireless. She had an S4 previously. Problem is with the stock android email app on this phone: On the S4 when she would save an email it would save it to the "Saved email" folder. She could then open the saved emails in that folder and it would have any attachment saved with the email. She could then open the attachment if she wished.
The S6 email app allows her to save an email, but the options menu says it will save the email as a FILE. When accessing these saved emails she discovered only the text of the email was saved. The attachments are not saved with the emails.
This is a completely ridiculous and stupid change by Samsung or Google, whichever is the one who is responsible for that app. I am surprised other users have not complained about this, I did not see anything about this on the 'net when searching.
My wife uses this phone for business and needs to access the attachments in the emails her clients send her. I understand she can save the attachments to the phone, but they go into a location in the "My Files" on the phone. It is a lot easier to access an email from a client, be able to read what they sent, and then open the attachment from within that email. If she has to save the emails and attachments separately there is nothing to link the two together and she would have to do what I think is many unnecessary steps to access both things.
Bought this phone a week ago and went through nokias messaging set up. Receives email with no problem but no matter what I cannot open my attachments. Tapping on the attachments makes no difference and does not select them into another screen (if you know what I mean).Help please I have asked nokia and my phone provider but no replies using the support email systems?

However, the same is working on the wireless network.I have probably reset my phone to factory settings/repaired the installation atleast 3 times in the past for other problems such as missing entries in call logs, slow response, etc. I am on Anrdroid 2.1 Random reboots happen almost thrice a week and phone response is very slow. I think I should go back to my blackberry.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have upgraded to 2.1-update 1,I have been trying to move my phone album to my laptop and have tried Bluetooth as well as USB connection for the same but its not working.
Problems faced:
1. I am not able to select several photos for transfer. On tapping the photo, options are "Use as wallpaper" or "Use as contact picture". The menu button only gives option as "Delete several"
2. Even though bluetooth is turned on for phone as well as laptop and they are in sync, when i send the file, it encounters some error and the file transfer doesnot take place.
3. When I connected through USB, the album was blank. The only option I got was opening the camera
Can take a picture and it will show them at the bottom left corner in camera mode. But if I close the camera and try to view the pictures I have just taken in the Album all I can see is the Album symbol (two mountains?) with a zig-zag line through it and no picture. The phone is showing 3.7 GB of space on the SD card and 90MB on the phone internal.

View 8 Replies View RelatedBut for now,I have a basic inquiry.i use aol email(accessed using tmobile web n walk) and need to access music i receive to work on .when i receive a mail over 5mb,i do not have the option to open or save it?why is this(even my old c902 had no limit as such)?also an attachment accessed via my laptop measured at say for instance,4.5mb(a fairly normal music file size) will be increased by 20% or so in size when accessing it via the X10?why?this is pushing most of the files over this 5mb limit(if there is indeed a limit)Would setting up a different email account make any difference or how i view/access my mail?are there any other settings i could change?ive contacted SE and they see no reason for it not to work 'in theory' but havnt actually guided me to any solution.

Likewise, when I try to open a photo attachment (as I have done many times in the past), I get this message: "More request cannot be completed. Service book information not found."
None of the information I've found under Support addresses these particular issues.
