Apr 1, 2011I keep my data on a Palm PDA and on my computer in PALM DESKTOP. Is there any way to upload my data from PALM DESKTOP to Xpeias X10 pro?

BB Desktop Software :: DEvice Switch Wizard Transferring From Palm Desktop
May 6, 2010I just got my Blackberry 9700 replacing my previous Palm 755. When I first used the Device Switch Wizard form the Blackberry Desktop Manager I was able to transfer all the data from my Palm Desktop to my Blackberry. I performed this for about four times as I modified my contact list. Now it aborts the transfer and receive a message saying:
"Desktop organizer data was not imported successfully. Errors occurred during the process"
I have since removed the Blackberry Desktop Manager software completely and reloaded - no result. I upgraded the Desktop Manager with automatic update - no result.

Mar 27, 2010I've used various Palm pilots for many years and recently replaced the Palm with a BB Tour. I'd hoped there was desktop software similar to the Palm Desktop where you can view & modify calendar & contact info directly instead of having to use the BB for all data entry, but I don't see this feature in Desktop Manager. Am I missing something? It's a pity if this isn't available, it makes the BB a much less attractive option for me.

Dec 1, 2010Curve 8520 just purchased?I have got emails working from my Gmail account but want to upload contacts before I switch my number over from my Nokia E71.Have used CD of Blackberry User Tools as provided but that does not appear to have very much on it and does not provide Desktop Manager so I have tried to upload Desktop Manager from website and it gets close to the end and then says the process was interrupted and that nothing has been installed.do I need to uninstall the Device Manager?Have looked in the longer User Guide but could not see anything of help. Sep 4, 2010So I had an older Curve, and now I have a brand new Curve 3g. The older phone has malfunctioned, and I can't use the keypad, but it still recongizes the software when plugged in, and i can charge it - this is why the data couldn't be transfered from my old phone to the new one at the Verizon store. So, I want all the contacts, my to-do lists/memopads, etc transfered into the new phone using Blackberry Manager on my PC (Vista). So i selected the 'Device Transfer Wizard" from the main menu, and followed instructions - i get an error message that tells me, basically, I "need to remove some applications from my existing device because there is not enough space on the new device to accomodate them:" I don't get this - the new phone has 256mb memory compared to 32mb in the old phone, and I don't even have apps on there except facebook (I tried to delete my apps on the old phone and all it showed me as having was Facebook.So, I tried un-checking various boxes on the screen that asks what i want to transfer, and even with them all un-checked it still tells me there is not enough room to transfer.Am I doing this wrong? i just want my contacts and to-do lists transfered to the new phone - I don't know what this thing about the "applications" and such is about but I just want my data transfered.I will say that the Blackberry Manager application that I have is very slow, non-intuitive, and generally a huge pain in the **bleep** to work with - I would think that a slick tech company like Blackberry would have a far better program than this "Blackberry Manager".. I am impressed with the Blackberry phones but dread using that Blackberry Manager every time I need to (such as when putting anew ringtone on my phone).

Jul 9, 2012my phone came with a lot of unwanted junk installed on it. The Facebook app is one of them. I can check Facebook on my browser when I want to. I don't want it to connect all the time. To my amazement I can't control the app at all. Even with everything turned off it uses about 100MB in the background a week, escpecially since the last update of the app! It starts up automatically every so many minutes. My datalimit is 400MB a month. This way the software pushed by Sony is creating large phonebills. That can't be right! The only way to remove that stuff is to root my phone, that's ridicilous! To pre-install software...ok...but I should be able to control what to do with that software, remove it, disable it and stop it from using up my data! I've informed some consumer agencies about this so I'll see what they have to say. This doesn't seem legal to me since I wasn't informed that I can't remove the apps and that they use data without your permission.

Sep 30, 2012i bought the xperia mini pro a couple of days ago...i have been impressed with its features and functions and it really looks a real deal....i havent been disappointed by any of its feature...but today when i tried to acces andriod market i am unable to create a new google account therefore cant go through andriod market.as it says "can,t establish a reliable data connection....."i have been searching tirelessly on internet on this issue and have found that it is very common one....so i tried the following things but it didnt come up with the required result 1.i checked the "background data raffic" in accounts and sync.2.i tried to reset my phone wihout the sim card but nothing helped....now i cant try that Internet account trick as "Internet" is banned in my country due to some religious issues...the thing left to do is a "hard reset" i havent done that in any of my phones but i think i have to do it now...fortunately there is almost nothing that i have saved in this phone...i did take a couple of photos today but its not that important.....is it worth to "hard reset" my phone? as i havent done it ever since...would it be safe to do and not remove my stuff saved in my memory card?..as i dont want to lose my music and other stuff saved in the memory card....
