Sep 6, 2010my sony x10 is frozen at boot screen i tried to use update service it finds the phone and it keeps saying install failed?

Xperia PLAY :: Frozen On Sony Ericsson Screen?
Feb 28, 2012I just tried to install the Ice Cream Sandwich unofficial firmware and when I tried to reboot it got stuck on the Sony Ericsson screen. Taking out the battery doesnt help, neither does doing any combination of buttons to get to the boot menu. I have Clockword Mod Recovery, but I cant reach that either. I did keep backups, but since I cant reach the phone in anyway, I cant enable them.

Dec 28, 2011X10 stuck at "sony ericsson" boot screen...Then it shows an image of camera with blue arrow down pointing phone... after it shows "Sony Ericsson" boot screen again, what follows black screen like being shut down. Looks like the battery consumption is increased, cause in couple of hours it starts beeping red light... Today is 4th day since it`s started.

Feb 20, 2010I have k750i for a long time and it was working very well . I was not making pictures for a while , and now when i try to make a picture :
1.open camera ( on back ) ==> am in camera mode
2.i press button for making pictures
3. i see grin spot in upper left corner
4. spot blinks few times ( i hold picture button )
5. i hear a sound, but then picture is not "frozen" on the screen? when i look in folder with pictures there is no picture What could be a problem ? Am i doing something wrong ? Could it be a problem to button that's makes pictures ? Is there any other button that i can use if this one is not working proper any more?

Aug 18, 2010I turned my phone off then on. In the process of it starting up it kept on turning on and off by itself. I had no chance to do anything before it wouldn't turn off again. The battery said it was full but everytime it turned back on I could see it was loosing life. I went to plug it in to charge but that wouldn't help as it wouldn't charge while it was turning on and off all the time. I tried to take the battery out. I have taken the memory card out. Now it has frozen with a white lit up screen.

Sep 30, 2010The date and time is Sept 30 2010 at 11:32am. Which i set and is correct and is correct on the smaller clock on top right hand of the screen. However, on the bigger time and date that "floats" on the touch screen it is still reading 9:43am with yesterday's date which is the 29th of sept. Then when i want to change my phone setting to either vibrate or silent....again, the smaller notification is correct but the big setting that "floats" on screen keeps telling me its on vibrate when i try to change it.

Jul 3, 2010I was using my phone to record something earlier; the battery died while it was filming! I have got the phone charged up and turned on, but I have no home screen. I can access the camera by holding the button on the side, I can access the drop down menu/settings, but that's it.
I have tried holding the power and volume up buttons for 10 seconds; the phone turned off, the time reset, but then went back to normal (time). Still no home screen.

While using it tonight it froze with the screen on. Holding down the power button failed to restart the phone. Using a pointed object on the SIM slot power button also failed: no vibrations, no change to the phone. The Sony Bridge for Mac program did not detect a device was connected.

Aug 31, 2015So, yesterday i decided to clean my Sony Z3 because it was dirty, i cleaned it with the hose (water), i made sure i used a towel to remove the water i blowed the water left, and i placed it back on the table, after 2 hours i decided to take the phone and see what's new and when i pressed the button to see if it opens it did but the unfortune part is that the touch screen is not responding like if i try to go to home menu i can't because it's not working to slide or anything, it's just froze but the power button and volume keys are working, this thing pisses me off so bad, i placed the phone in a bowl of rice it's been 7 hours sinceit's there and nothing the phone is closed and still nothing happend after 7 hours, and there is condensation on the camera lens btw.

Feb 7, 2011Two weeks ago my phone screen began randomly freezing, and a small section at the bottom would become digital noise/pixels. To fix this I simply locked my phone with the power button, waited a few minutes and my phone would be back to normal. I can't remember if this started happening before or after I updated my phone to the latest software.

For the last week when I unlock my phone, every now and again the screen won't turn on.
Sometimes when I plugged it in to charge, the charging screen would display and I could turn it on that way. When the screen was blank, sometimes I could press the power button repetitively (locking & unlocking my phone) and the screen would eventually turn on.
I then figured out I could do a 'hard reset' by holding down the power and volume up buttons, and my phone would work again.

Oct 2, 2010I just bought an 02 mini x10. It's new and came into a sealed box. But first time I switched it on nothing appears on screen. Left it to charge for a whole day (charging indicator lits up) but still nothing. But when I turn it on, the boot music/sound comes in and also I can only see the screen when under sunlight. I can see 'Silent mode " and "settings" on the screen. But the phone switches down when I press on either.

May 5, 2015I tap "ok" and the message comes back again. The strange thing is that the message is in spanish (I have my phone in English and that the lockscreen photo has dissapeared and the xperia theme is there now.
It seems like the phone is working ok in the background, but I cannot access the homescreen.

I can take screenshots, change the volume, etc. and as I could access the phone's internal and sdcard I made all the backups as possible.

Dec 20, 2011i bought a sony ericsson xperia x10 mini a couple of weeks ago, works fine but i was downloading live wallpapers from android store and there was one called DIY wallpaper and it made the lock screen look like an iphone one. so i installed it and it asked me if i wanted to change my home screen to the new one and i clicked yes, then my screen went black. I can use the drop down bar but if i click on a notifcation in there nothing comes up on the screen. I can see the start up screen and all that and the unlock screen it all works just no home screen. Ive tried reseting by holding lock button and home button for 4 seconds it resarted but it was the same i could only use the drop down bar.and one more thing, ive connected to computer but i cant get it to do the usb connect because i cant click it on the phone screen.

Oct 1, 2015Earlier today after I woke up, I was just gonna check something on my phone, when I was met with several errors saying that this and that programmed had stopped working. I chose the option "ok" on all of them because the other option report would not really get me anywhere. The thing was these errors kept coming repeating themselves (same apps getting errors repeatedly).
So after 10 min of just pressing ok on these errors I decided to reboot my phone, but when I came to the startup it stops/freezes on the SONY EXPERIA display. I can't trun it off with the on/off button, so I searched everywhere on the internet about this issue but none of the classic hold volume down + volume up + on/off button to turn it off gets me past the freeze after it goes off.

Oct 2, 2011I just purchased a new Sony Xperia Play & I love the phone minus a few things and one of them is the screen brightness, I just updated to the latest OS and It is very annoying when the screen is so dark until you hold it up to the light and then it is bright again, This was to be the replacement of my X10 and if I could get the screen brightness issue fixed I would be a happy camper. I searched and see there is only one fix for it right now and that is to root your phone and apply the fix but I do not want to attempt to do that quite yet. If anyone has heard if Sony plans on fixing this or if there is another way around it please let me know for I am still looking at the new Samsung Galaxy II Infuse 4G which was my other option other than the Play.

Oct 24, 2010I think I have bricked my phone I don't know how. I press the power button on top and get normal buzz then Sony Ericsson in white letters on black background and stays there. Tried reset by turning on top button whilst holding middle button, no good. Tried holding back button whilst plugging in usb charger cable no good (LED wont even come on to indicate charging) tried with sim card in and sim card out, no good. Tried with memory card in and memory card out, no good.
Wanted to load new firmware update from SE support site - before I have updated with no problems held back button whilst plugging in usb cable and released back button when told me to on screen but now it seems there is a different way to update through pc companion now, well it tells me to pull down the notification bar but how can I do this if the phone wont even get to the normal screen with notification bar? How can I go back to the old way of updating firmware using SE update or do I have to do it through companion software now.
