Xperia Z2 :: Unable To Turn It On - Show Regular Boot Then Screen Goes Black
Feb 12, 2013
yesterday I connected my Z2 to a regular headphone jack and few seconds later the phone turned off.
Now it can´t turn it on if i try to turn it on it shows the regular boot (sony xperia shows up) and the the screen goes black.
Tried to repair it with pcc but on the stage that i should connect the usb cable to the phone and press the down button nothing happens. So what to do?
Two weeks ago my phone screen began randomly freezing, and a small section at the bottom would become digital noise/pixels. To fix this I simply locked my phone with the power button, waited a few minutes and my phone would be back to normal. I can't remember if this started happening before or after I updated my phone to the latest software.  For the last week when I unlock my phone, every now and again the screen won't turn on.
Sometimes when I plugged it in to charge, the charging screen would display and I could turn it on that way. When the screen was blank, sometimes I could press the power button repetitively (locking & unlocking my phone) and the screen would eventually turn on.
I then figured out I could do a 'hard reset' by holding down the power and volume up buttons, and my phone would work again.
I just bought an 02 mini x10. It's new and came into a sealed box. But first time I switched it on nothing appears on screen. Left it to charge for a whole day (charging indicator lits up) but still nothing. But when I turn it on, the boot music/sound comes in and also I can only see the screen when under sunlight. I can see 'Silent mode " and "settings" on the screen. But the phone switches down when I press on either.
My xperia z2 camera isn't working. When i open the camera, only show the black screen with camera key and settings and take pictures but it is just black. The front camera is working well.
I have bought Xperia z3 for 2 months. I have just noticed something that might be a problem with my camera. Â In camera mode (both video and camera)Â sometime the screen shows soft black wave running from top to bottom (for more understanding about "black wave" just like when you focus the camera on TV screen). However I didn't focus my camera on TV screen anymore. The problem last for 1-5 minutes. When this problem occurred If I go on and take a photo sometime the wave could be captured into my photo as well but mostly these running black wave can not be captured into the photo. Â (I have attached a photo taken when the running black wave problem occurred and this time it was captured in my photo.
My phone is fully charged and even though you get the shudder when you turn it on/off the screen remains black. I do however have a little green blinking light in the top right hand side which usually means I have a message or whatever. So, I'm thinking most of the phone is working but the screen is not. Any suggestions? This happened suddenly when I was on Facebook (don't know if that makes any difference). Recently the phone has been turning itself off and restarting for no apparent reason ... could this have been a lead up to the black screen?
when i turn my phone on it get to the part where the screen is black and it says sony ericsson in the middle of the screen.. And thats as far as i can go... should i just connect it to my computer and update it using Sony PC Companion 2.1?
Okay, so there is no screen protector or anything. Not rooted or unlocked or tampered in any way. I've had the phone for 26 hours and then the following happened:
EDIT: YouTube video added [URL] ..
I pulled the phone out of my pocket to unlock it. I see the lock screen and put in my pin (yes, I see the actual screen and stuff on it. Let me make that clear.) after I enter my pin successfully the screen locks itself. I contacted Google support and they said to factory reset it. I did the full factory data reset in the recovery mode (again, the screen works. I can see everything to do a FDR and I can see the boot animation) and it starts to boot up. Once I see the "welcome" screen it instantly locks itself.
I can hear the audible "latch" locking sound that it makes when you press the power button. I know the buttons are not malfunctioning because they work perfectly fine in bootloader / recovery mode to scroll up and down and select things. I've tried multiple things but nothing seems to work. The problem here is that I want to try and do a factory image but my computer will NOT recognize my Nexus 6P when in recovery mode / bootloader mode. I have all the drivers installed but since I can't access the OS and enable OEM UNLOCKING there is no way to factory flash a factory image is there? Again, I can NOT access the OS at all whatsoever.
When I make or receive phone calls on my z2 the screen go's black and i am unable to access any function dureing a call until the phone on the other end disconnects.
I have a Xperia mini and it keeps periodically coming up with a black screen and unable to charge, also the speaker has gone really quiet so i can't hear calls very well.
When I'm trying to power on the phone, I get the initial black and white "Samsung Galaxy S6" screen. Then everything goes black and the blue LED on the top left lights up and stays on, does not flash or dim, just stays on. The phone does not vibrate or make any sound when it does this.
What I've tried to fix it:
1) Power + Volume down (maintenance boot mode) ... I've tried normal boot, factory reset and booting in safe mode, all just give me a black screen with the blue LED.
2) Power + Volume Up + Home (andoid system recovery screen) ... When doing this, the phone displays the black and white "Samsung Galaxy S6" screen, followed by a bluish colored screen with a little android guy on it, followed by the dead android guy with a yellow exclamation triangle over his head, then goes into the android system recovery menu. On this screen I can wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache partition and reboot and I still get a black screen with a steady blue LED.
3) Power + Volume Down + Home followed by Volume Up (Downloading screen) ... Takes me to the bluish screen warning me about downloading a custom OS. After hitting up it does not show the knox has ever been triggered. I've tried using ODIN 3.10.6 to reinstall fresh firmware (5.1.1 G920VVRU3BOG5) and after it successfully installs it, it boots to a black screen with the steady blue LED.
i just got xperia z2 , and I have 2 problems first is with fb and messenger it lags when I am typing, I tried everything and couldnt fix it, second is with camera with timeshift, screen is much darker then with regular mode, and I don't know why? Is it normal because someone is saying that its normal and I am curious because when I watched on youtube video wasn't so dark...
My SMS works fine but I want it to sort it to look like BBM. I have seen people that have their SMS inbox show contacts then when you open it, it shows the whole conversation between you and them, more like BBM. How do you change it from the regular way that shows every SMS you have to person by person?
I cannot shut off my phone. I push the power off button, the screen turns black and shows the rotating apple, and does not shut off. It goes back to the regular wallpaper screen. How do I shut it off? It used to shut off when I first bought it, but then quit doing it. The AT&T store cannot shut it off either.
Is there a possibility to switch off the boot screen music (that appears after entering the codes and prior to display of a custom boot message) on the E72? The music is quite loud and completely inappropriate in a plane or business setting.
I woke up this morning to find that my phone had restarted itself over night, Thought nothing of it until 15 mins later I came back to it and it was still stuck in start up on the waves. It wont turn off or do anything when any of the buttons are pressed. The notification light is orange (dont know if that means anything). Â I have since unplugged it and I am leaving to drain the battery hopefully that will do something...
I called the phone company, and they gave me this code I plug it in call pay money to get the service of Blocking my number when calling someone. I signed up for the service, but when I went to Settings --> Phone --> Show Callers ID, I was not able to turn it OFF, it was blocked to ON. What do I do to make it work, I really don't want to jailbreak my iPhone for this.
I can't turn it off without it initiating a boot loop all on its own. Every time I press the power button and select "Power Off", it turns off and then about 5 seconds later the Sony screen comes back on, stays on for a few seconds, turns back off and repeats. I can break the bootloop by holding the power button for about 10 seconds and turning the device back on. The consequence is that every time I turn off my phone, it discharges totally! Â My phone is NOT rooted and it hasn't been modified in any way.
Compilation number 23.0.1.A.0.167 Kernel 3.4.0-perf-gd4d661a BuildUser@BuildHost #1 Baseband 8974-AAAAANPZQ-00027-12  The issue appeared after a few months of use, in November. I think it didn't coincide with any software update. It's not a brand new phone so I wouldn't like to  return it as I already have lots of information in there.Â
My Blackberry Curve just stopped working one day and so I plugged it in and nothing happened. The screen was just black. My dad tested the connection of the charger to the phone and then the battery and it showed that the battery was toast. So, I went and bought a new battery the other day and I put it in and it was only half charged and so when I got home, I plugged it in. It showed that it was charging and it had the orange light like it was supposed to. Around an hour later I looked at it again and it went back to a black screen and wont turn on, but a red light flashes when its plugged in.
I was using my phone as usual when all of a sudden the screen went blank and it wouldn't let me turn it back on again. Ive tried plugging it into my computer and resetting it but nothing. I can still hear the siri noise when i press and hold the home button but obviously can't turn my phone off and on again as the screen is none responsive
I work in retail and this morning I knocked my phone over a security tag remover (takes off security tags on clothing) and my phone turned off, it since hasn't turned back on. It got very hot after this incident. So I removed it from the case and it cooled down it still wouldn't turn on.Â
I have since googled what to do as the screen is completely black after being advised to charge my phone from not a computer but a wall, for 15mins -1hr (did 1hr) I tried to turn phone on -- nothing.Â
Next I was advised to try the reset buttons - nothing....
I had put my phone on charge last night. After I come back and try to use it, screen was black as it is now and wasn't able to turn it on since. I had check battery in the shop and it look fine, but I still can't turn and use my phone.
A couple days ago my blackberry curve's battery died while I was on a bus. By the time I got back to a charger I noticed that it wouldn't turn on and when I plugged it into the wall, it wouldn't charge or indicate with the LED light that it was charging. I decided to pull out my battery and put it back in, and there was no results. I did the same thing but this time I plugged it into the computer, my curve was still inresponsive. I also left it plugged into a wall unit for +3 hours, when I came back, it still wasn't working.
TL;DR (too long; didn't read): My Curve won't turn on, the screen is completley black and the LED light doesn't flash or even turn on.
` I've set my display to turn off after 45 seconds, but despite this my display often turns black after 2 seconds of me not touching the screen which means I have to unlock my phone again and then hold my finger on the screen non stop!
I bought a HTC M7 (Verizon unlocked) with a broken screen. (stock rom, not modified at all, and with android lollipop). After I replaced the screen, I turned it on and it worked just fine. But after using it for a while I noticed that the notification bar wouldn't come down, so I assumed maybe it was a connection that was giving me that problem and disassembled it again. I checked everything again, made sure everything was in place and reassembly it again.
When I tried to turn it back on, I just got a vibration... and a Black screen. Tried to turn it on again, but again just a vibration and a black screen (not sound at all). I plugged it in my computer and the computer makes the sound that something is plugged in, but the phone does not appear connected (recognized). Also, the charging red light, won't come on. (not even with the charger or connected to my computer)
I've tried: 1) Hold power button + vol/down = just vibration 2) Hold power button + vol/up = just vibration 3) Hold power button + vol/up+down (for about 2 minutes) = just vibrates over and over during that time 4) Previous steps under a bright light. Literally I stepped on a table and did it under a light bulb, and nothing.
I'm quite desperate and sad because it was working great (except for the notification bar), and now it won't turn on... just freaking vibrate..
I left the phone charging during the night and the green light came up in the morning. I tried to turn it On while connected, but the green light disappeared and it vibrated again once...
