Xperia X10 :: Official Word From SE On 2.1 And Bluetooth Transfer Being Removed

OK I just talked to SE tech support and they told me that the file transfer from the phone (say photos from SD card -- to PC) via Bluetooth IS NOT POSSIBLE! The feature was removed WITH 2.1!! The only thing you can do is to transfer files TO the phone, but I was told I need a separate android app to make my $400 phone do what a $30 nokia can do without any problems -- (browse my photos on the memory card and transfer them to my computer)!!! I wold like to get some official confirmation from the mods on this forum because due to all the issues with 2.1 I'm thinking of flashing my x10 back with 1.6!

Up untl yesterday, I was easily able to transfer songs via Bluetooth but now when I long press on a song, the send option pops up and when I click on it, instead of the Bluetooth coming up, it directs me to an email composition page with the song attached to it.

I have 50 or so saved text messages on my phone that I suddenly need to get printed out to give to a conflict resolution specialist in 14 hours- who knew this would happen? I can't seem to find a way to do this other than to individually send them to my email- one at a time.....

I use Polar Flow app to synchronize my training sessions from Polar V800 to the web: Polar V800 - bluetooth 4.0 - mobile - [URL] ....
I have upgraded from Z3 compact to Z5 compact. Nothing else changed. Since then the synchronization is almost impossible. The syncing process fails after 30-60 seconds every time. If I am lucky the current training session can be uploaded to the mobile after 5-10 attempts.
Bluetooth HCI snoop log was fine on Z3 compact but not on Z5 compact. Wireshark detected some inconsistencies in the Z5C's bluetooth log: it has been cut short in the middle of a packet. So I think the bluetooth connection drops very often during data transfer.

I bought Xperia Pro mini and was told i will be able to trasfer files via bluetooth to other devices. Unfortunately, my phone cannot be detected by other phone eventhough the bluetooth is on. Even if I pair it with other phone & devices..it aint working.

i installed the bluetooth file transfer app from the market and it worked fine for a couple of goes, then my 6 yr old got hold of my phone and i am not sure if he altered some sort of setting and it is now not sending out files (it says on the recieving phone, - connection dropped- ) it is also now not connecting to other phones. Is there anyway of finding out what had changed so i can fix it, would a reset work if so how to do it.

Did se release new fix or firmware version for current os? I saw some website showing minor firmware update for x8. I still love se current os.the ui is nice,and i dont mind staying with current os(2.1). as long as its officially from se.

I Updated my Xperian Neo V to ICS 1 wekk ago. On the firmware, there a some preinstalled app like Mcafee, wisepilote and UEFA shortcut. I unistalled the because I dont need then. But after rebooting my Xperia, I saw again thise app on my app list! the I unistall then but each time, after rebooting my Xperia , I saw them on the app liste even if I used uninstaller pro or root uninstaller.how can I uninstall the definitively!

I'm new to Android Device. I just bought Sony Ericsson Xperia Play R800i 2 weeks ago. Yesterday I was found Official Update from Sony Ericsson Site. Then I go with and after downloading update it's message me it will reboot and start again. But nothing happened. My phone was dead then. Even I tried several time to switch on my phone but a short vibrate but not booting.

today I looked on the list of SI numbers in the topic Xperia ray, SI numbers for ICS update and I didn't find the number 1253-0163. I'm sure, that this number was there all the time, until today. Is there any reason for removing it? Does it mean, that I'm not gonna get any further updates?

i Have x10 Mini. After i upgraded to 2.1 most of the time when i dial or receive a call an error message shows "Card Removed Unexpectedly" then if i try to re-insert the card the phone gets hanged i have to reset it.I am using 8 GB Sandisk card.

When I was using my x10 when it was only 1.6, when you typed a letter using the android keyboard, it would give multiple word suggestions (ie. i - is, it, in, etc.) which helped a lot. But with 2.1, if I turn it's word suggestions, it only provides me with proper names or contact names.Any way to allow 2.1 to use word suggestions other than these proper/contact names? I don't like the default keyboard.

hey, i dropped my new x10 mini, it fell down real hard , now i'm able to make calls, display is good but it shows sd card removed in the notification panel. tried switching off and on and pressing on/off and home buttons together stll problem remains. sd card not recognized when connected to pc too. ...not even able to use the camera... apps are dead..

I selected "I never want to have any words or letters replaced" in Words Suggestions in Language and Input. I can see word suggestions on top of Xperia keyboard but I am unable to select the words. The letters below the words gets selected instead. This only happens in phone is held upright (portrait). The selection works when phone is rotated horizontal (landscape).
That leads me to another problem, when in horizontal (landscape), only a slither of the doc avail for editing. The keyboard takes up 2 thirds of the space, and apps tool bar takes the rest of the real estate above that. Hence I almost never input any docs/apps on the Z3 horizontally. Maybe the real estate issue is because I use large font size.

Whilst I'm using my phone, a message comes in the taskbar and says that the SD card has been removed unexpectedly whereas I have not removed it. It also restarts my phone by itself and all the apps that are stored on the SD card are no longer visible.

I have ics installed in sk17i. I cannot disable the word suggestions that come on top of the on board keyboard which result in lesser space to view when writing a message. I have checked out language and input settings and disabled all learning words and no suggestion required from the keyboard. Also have changed the settings that come in the on board keyboard doing the same there. However the word suggestion still comes. The hardware qwerty keypad however doesn't show any suggestion.
