I'm new to Android Device. I just bought Sony Ericsson Xperia Play R800i 2 weeks ago. Yesterday I was found Official Update from Sony Ericsson Site. Then I go with and after downloading update it's message me it will reboot and start again. But nothing happened. My phone was dead then. Even I tried several time to switch on my phone but a short vibrate but not booting.

View 1 Replies View RelatedYesterday night i connected Xperia X10i to the computer PC Companion popup opens for 2.1 update. I followed the instructions and took backup in the third step after downloading new software while updating a popup window appeared "unable to Update try later" the phone is still connected to the PC and Internet connection is also fine. I have disconnected from PC then it is asking for step 3(switch off phone then press and hold back button step) again did that no Luck. Now the phone is not starting at all I think it formatted all the software..My phone is almost in dead condition. Now if I connected to the PC it is not detecting as a mass storage also and PC companion is not at all recognizing.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy partner's Xperia Play decided not to boot this morning. (It was fine at 7.30 but by 8.30 it was dead). On pressing the power button, it vibrates for a few seconds but does not show any other sign of booting. He has tried removing the battery to boot it but to no avail. When he plugged it into his laptop, the machine failed to recognise the device. It just continuously made the device connect then device disconnect sounds. The laptop is only a couple of weeks old so I highly doubt that it's an issue with the USB ports. It does not detect the phone long enough to perform an update. Is it possible that the USB cable is faulty, or the USB port on the phone? Or could it be a compatibility issue with the laptop?

It asks me to look for a VCard file, but all I could see was a contacts.csv fle which I thought was the one, but it said "Could not export" or something to that effect. I unistalled the because I dont need then. View 3 Replies View RelatedOK I just talked to SE tech support and they told me that the file transfer from the phone (say photos from SD card -- to PC) via Bluetooth IS NOT POSSIBLE! The feature was removed WITH 2.1!! The only thing you can do is to transfer files TO the phone, but I was told I need a separate android app to make my $400 phone do what a $30 nokia can do without any problems -- (browse my photos on the memory card and transfer them to my computer)!!! I wold like to get some official confirmation from the mods on this forum because due to all the issues with 2.1 I'm thinking of flashing my x10 back with 1.6!
I am using Z3 Dual and yesterday I was with friends for a picninc and while using the video mode it was showing the message that the camera temperature is going high and will shut down automatically. My main concern is not that, I used the phone in water (maximum 30 -50 cm depth) for 2-3 times and after that my sim both card was not working ( was not showing the signal bars) and friends tried to call me and came switch off. Then I restarted the mobile then the sim card start working and the mobile was on Safe Mode. I tried to restart the mobile many times and still the problem exixts. Then I tried one option which I found in the web, i pressed the power buttern and when the vibration comes I pressed the vlume up button. I tried this option for severeal times, but the mobile is still in Safe Mode.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy phone doesn't boot up. This has been happening since the last 2 days. The first time it happened, i used Update Service and updated the firmware to the new 4.1.B.0.587. The phone restarted normally after the update but the phone was very laggy. And after sometime, the same issue popped up. The phone would start up to the black screen. Again I used Update Service to do a factory reset and reinstall the new firmware. Formatted the memory card too. Again this issue is there.
I called up Sony Customer Care. They asked me to use PC Companion and repair the phone software. I did that too. Still no luck..
I've tried restarting and removing the battery but even after that I still get an error downloading update notification from the play store. I do have to most updated version of lollipop t-mobile has for the S5 (5.0).

However, when i play Battlefield two and attempt to use both touch pads to move about, the game freezes and locks up until i cease touching the two game pads. View 9 Replies View RelatedI phone recently developed a problem with touch screen becomming completely unresponsive. I googled and found its a common fault with Sony Handsets. Now let me explain the list of tasks i did in order to get it back to work but invane 1- Tested a new touchpad 2- Software update 3- Software downgrade 4- Deassembling and reassembling
i think i didn't miss anything but still its not responsive. It does sometimes response but if i do restart battery pull, open back case its unresponsive again. According to my knowledge its not a hardware issue as if its hardware and need new one i already tried that its software issue and it seems that entire screen is selected when i try to neviggate through the gaming keys. I am still unable to belive that sony ericsson has still not provided any fix for the issue. If anyone has any idea or any third party software for screen please advise.

I am looking to buy an external speaker to connect to my xperia play, preferably a sony branded one, but definately one that is portable enough to fit in my pocket.I thought I had found the one that fit the bill perfectly when I checked the sony site and found the MS 430 which is supposed to be fully compatible with the Xperia Play (it even doubles up as a phone stand, which is pretty neat).Now the problem is my jack is on the horizontal side of my phone (opposite side to the left flipper) and not on the top end as shown in the picture to connect a phone to this speaker.So therefore the speaker is not compatible with this phone, unless of course I have a unique phone with the jack in the wrong place or the phone is connected in the upright position, which wouldnt be very good when watching video playback.
