I have am using an X10 mini pro and when attempting to launch the messaging app, it crashes and i have to force close. I have the latest software (2.1.1.A.0.6) and 2.1 firmware.
It started when simply viewing a message, I had not installed anything recently.
my email app and my browser have been force closong randomly but now my homescreen, I have to restart it or wait 10 minutes. what is the problem, why cant sony update the phone. I have sent emails to sony to tell how to stop but no response? I will get another phone if they dont fix this. I have recieved the worst suport from sony which i didnt expect from such a big company.

Also the pinch/zoon works fine on the internet but differently when on photos that i have taken. You cannot pinch, to zoom you have to drag your finger up and it vibrates when you touch the screen and a white streak comes up on the pic while you are draging your finger, visa verse to zoom out.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Xperia mini pro SK17i and i've been using it for about 5 months now.. sometimes when i slide out the keyboard, the unit restarts.. and sometimes when playing music or when it's in my pocket it restarts.. i dont know why.. i message alot and i have about 5000 texts under one number.. whenever i want to send a message to that number i have to wait about 45 seconds for the conversation to load.. and while typing the wait/force close popup comes for messaging.. this is very annoying.. sometimes when in a hurry it restarts or messaging section freezes.. i've updated this to the latest firmware (4.0.2.A.0.62) and i did a full flash using SEUS about 3 months back.. but the problem still exists

It also freezes once I open it and the only way to get off of the screen is hitting the home button which freaks the phone out. I have also seen an error message which I did not take down the exact file launcher problem it was encountering.

Are there any files or something I can flash that will allow me to try and format everything and start over? When the errors pop up I try to recreate the issue and one out of 5 times I am able to do so. I have tried battery pulls and several factory resets/wiping everything. It even froze up and force closed on my one time when I was about to do the reset..

I'm best mentioning that my technical know-how is very limited in terms of phones, but I've accepted the fact I'm going to have to run a factory reset on my phone. So the problems I'm experiencing:- All of a sudden, apps start crashing one after the other. So much so that I can't even turn the phone off properly and just have to hold the power button down until it goes off itself.- Sometimes it just freezes, and when it does, it rapidly drains the battery.- Other times it just randomly decides to turn itself off (this has happened during the night resulting in me sleeping in for work because my alarm has failed to go off!)- When apps have crashed and I've had to turn it on and off again, all information stored (ie. texts, photos, Twitter feed) after the 16th October is gone!I've even went on Kies Air to start transferring photos, videos, etc. to my laptop, but even that keeps crashing, meaning it constantly disconnects from the laptop. I cleared out a lot of old apps I don't use anymore, but they reappear when I turn it back on, resetting back to pre-16th October like I mentioned.

I really love the Motion Launch gestures except the volume button that wakes the phone and launches the camera app.
Launching the camera app by mistake is annoying and it happens from time to time.
I tried Settings > Display & gestures > Motion Launch gestures but it looks like I'll have to disabled the whole thing.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI updated my AT&T X10 to 2.1 about a week ago. It was working fine but it started to get a bit sluggish, so I pulled the battery out and turned it back on. Now after it boots up, it says the Yahoo! Mail app has forced closed, along with the Spotify, My Tracks, eBay, and Timescape apps. Most of the Market apps now force close as soon as they're opened. Words With Friends, Angry Birds, Pandora, Soundhound, NASA, etc. all force close also. Even the Market force closes if I try to open an app's page, or go to "My Apps".
I hooked it up to PC Companion and it says everything is updated.
I'm using Xperia ray since late September. Last few weeks, I upgraded my phone to Android 2.3.4 build 4.0.2 A.0.42 via Software Update service (Location: Thailand, if applicable) and installed the recent Facebook v 1.8.0 from the market. Now, I'm having a problem with Facebook application. It always shows "force close" for this application and it will automatically re-open the application. I find this error most of the time when update status, check-in places and upload photos. It pops up down the bottom of the phone in a black box 'forcing close of player' and 'closed?', every few seconds, exiting whatever app I am currently using. This only happens immediately after I turn the screen on, for about 20 seconds and then stops until I turn the screen off and then on again. I have not rooted the phone or done anything out of the ordinary. I did download a couple of apps from the play store and have since deleted them, but I still have the problem. I have read to clear the cache partition to fix this issue, but I believe it is in recovery mode which the Z3 does not have. I would prefer not to do a hard reset. Is this my only option?
