View 1 RepliesSo I like that my phone underlines incorrect words, but I like the corrections that my SwiftKey keyboard does over this list that pops us when I click on a red underlined word. It usually blocks the option that I was to pick off my keyboard. So is there anyway to turn off that list from showing up but still have misspelled words underlined?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo, where is the option to edit user dictionary entries for the Xperia Keyboard? I can't find them. Misspelled words get added, no way to get rid of them. Boo.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo i remember that i once entered the dictionary of all word suggestions and all other words i wrote but now i dont know where they are... Ive been searching for 30 minutes but i always end up going to personal dictionary where there are no words.
View 4 Replies View RelatedHad my Z5 Compact for bit over 2 months now and 'fairly' happy with it (miss some stuff from my Z3 - like proper battery life but oh well )
My problem right now is probably more related to the software from Android, than from Sony 'but' I had a software update a couple of days ago, which apparently completely wiped the automatic dictionary (it's called "my words" in Danish, not sure in English if it's called something else but it normally automatically adds words I use a lot) which was a bummer but I've seen it before. The problem is that now I can't 'manually' add any words, and it's also not adding a single word even though some of the words I use in almost every single message I write!! I can't just have it learn from my text messages or Gmail, as I don't use either - I almost only use Facebook and Hotmail.
how to get access to the integrated dictionary? Meanwhile, there are lot of of faulty words / wrong typed words included that do appear while writing messages. I would like to delete these ones and/or integrate new/correct ones without writing a new message.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using an Xperia Pro running the latest 2.3.4 release (4.0.2.A.0.58) and have two problems with the user dictionary for text-input. I notice that if I manually add words to the user dictionary (through the settings menu -> Language & keyboard -> User dictionary -> add), then these words do not appear in the as word suggestions when I am typing. I have my setting set to the default of "substitute letters only" for the slide-out and "automatically correct words" for the on-screen keyboard. Secondly, the automatic word suggestion feature often repeatedly suggests old spelling mistakes to me which is quite annoying. I would like a feature where I can also view, edit and delete words which have been automatically added to the automatic dictionary.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a HTC One X with a large personal dictionary that I'd like to keep. I have backed it up and transferred it to my current M8 phone via Bluetooth. The file is: PersonalDictionary.htcudb.
When I select Restore from storage card it doesn't do anything. The file is in the root part of the SD card and not in a folder/sub-folder.

After updating my phone to iOS 8, I needed to suddenly define a word. After typing and selecting the word in notes and selecting "define", I was given this message "No definitions found." Which was strange because before I update my phone I downloaded the English dictionary and the British English dictionary. After tapping the manage button, I saw that the two dictionaries were stuck on the blue downloading circle, at 0% and making no progress at all to download to 100%. The fact that I can't communicate with Apple about this (I'm not one for phone calls) or find the right option on the iPhone support page is bad. I need my dictionaries for school when a regular dictionary isn't available.

Is i possible to have a English Dictionary for N900 ?
View 4 Replies View Relatedthe default dictionary that comes with the Nokia E71 doesn't allow adding more than 2 languages for some reason. Currently, I have English, Hebrew and Russian in the dictionary, but I want to add French and German, or at least one of them because I am learning those languages....And whenever I try to add any new languages and I start the dictionary, it would take me to the "Remove a language" screen and if I click cancel it will exit.... So I was wondering if there is a way around that or if there is a good custom dictionary that I can use to have more languages.

View 1 Replies View RelatedFor some reason it refuses to use the word "am"! I've saved it to the dictionary and checked it's there, but still - I can't type "am" using predictive text! All other words have been added and are remembered just fine, but the word "am" ... the ACTUAL word "am" just doesn't want to be predicted. Ever! have to type "a" then select it, then type "m". Or I have to turn my phone sideways and use the keyboard layout. know it's not a problem that's going to bring down HTC, but honestly - it's remarkably frustrating!
