May 16, 2010Ever since I upgraded the phone's firmware to the latest (v 20.0.080) the mobile dictionary has a weird glitch. I've attached a picture to show.
If i try to find a word from english to vietnamese, the vietnamese equivalent word will have missing letters.For example: i search "hello" and the vietnamese shows: "xin chao: bi ___ u _ l ___ s ng ___ c nhien" (the underscores "_" are the missing letters.Anyone know how to fix this? I've tried reinstalling the application, and the language pack.
I've tried a english to english search, and words don't show up missing letters. this seems to just happen to vietnamese letters.I do a simple search of a vietnamese to vietnamese. even the results show words with missing letters.

Apr 26, 2010i realy your help in this one, now i live in Lebanon, and i'm searching for a n900, but the other day my freind told that you can't check for your balance in your phone operartor, is that true, were i live, you need to recharge your phone in before you make phone calls, send messages etc, and to see how much dollars(or what ever its called) you still have in what you have recharged, you need to press *11# and than the green button, and than a message shows up showing you your phone operator balance, is it true that that can't be done on the n900? i like it how i can overclock the n900 from 600 mhz to 1000 mhz in less than 30 sec.

Jan 22, 2012i have a nokia N8 fully updated and working well apart from the T9. Like many others i hate that i can not change a word that i discover was wrong by scrolling back to the word and underlining it then scrolling through with the * button till i find the word it was meant to be. Instead i have to delete the whole word and re-type it.I loved my old nokias as i could do this with them.Anyway i can not for the life of me get my nokia to add Shiver or Shivering to the dictionary. It types pig then i get the ? so i open up spell and the word save and then send but each time i try to type shiver or shivering again i go through the whole process of manually typing the word as it didnt get added to dictionary.

Jul 7, 2010nokia 5230 removing predictive text from dictionary? everytime i try and enter 'you' I get 'yot' Nokia upport claim no way of removing single words [how stupid is that?] I tried using fe explore says not supported sis files. X plore went on the phone as an app and i found and removed the pred file but it still comes back as 'yot' when i use the predictive text. any suggestions please? Sep 21, 2010I have had the 'Nokia 6500 slide' a year and a half, and have never managed to use my dictionary. Every time I try to open it it says.
'Vocabulary files not found or unavailable' - Vocabulary memory card not found or not functioning. Two ways to fix it:
1. download files to local PC from www.nokia-asia.com/vocabulary and then copy them to "Dictionary" folder of memory card.
2 Copy preinstalled files from CD rom into Dictionary folder in memory
I've already tried download the files, putting the extracted 2 files in the dictionary file in PC Suite and still the dictionary doesn't work, and that annoying message comes on. I haven't read the CD rom because I don't know where I put it. How to install my dictionary?

Feb 7, 2010i just bought an n900 and waiting for it to be delivered, it's second hand and i gather that some n900s don't accept all 3 sims but there was an update for it so now it does, is that right? if mine isn't accepted how do i update it given that it doesn't work with ovi or pc suite?
