I wanna why option of transmission of file has been deleted by Wi-fi in ICS.This is a great function which facilitated sending of file.
View 4 RepliesI installed Easy Voice Recorder app on the phone (Z2), then recorded some 30 recordings. Then (just now) I wanted to move those files onto my sd card to remove them from the phone and transfer to my computer, and instead seem to have by mistake touched the 'trash can' icon when I was in the file management screen, and now the files are not showing up in the app.

But when I checked, the messaging option itself was completely gone. When I click on messaging - "What's app"is opening and asking for internet connection. I don't get any alerts/ tones for messages - & there is nothing available in settings/ widgets/ apps mentioning anything about messaging. Also in the timescape widget, I am able to see some message but after 10 secs or so notification comes - "messaging failed".

View 2 Replies View RelatedI deleted the backup file while trying to update to 5.1.1. My phone wouldn't update and I read that I needed to delete the previous backup (bad idea). Well after I updated OS I can't backup to get my previous files and contacts. This is horrible and I am lost at this point on what to do. And I haven't been using iCloud.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI just got a brand new N86 and when I switch on the FM transmission it doesn't transmit to my cars radio. I had N79 before getting this phone and the FM transmission used to work fine. I tried googling the issue but I only got topics regarding "Feature is not supported" which is not the case for my phone. Is there something I'm missing i.e.. some system settings or such..or should I get a refund/replacement?

We have tried searching for the file on the phone and the names of the pictures in the file, but no luck please tell me there is a way to try and get this file back, as there was some sentimental pictures in the file and I would love to get them back.

I know that files can be recovered from flash drives! I have done it before. Unfortunately the software I used before will not recognise the iPhone as a drive of any kind flash, external or hard!
I have not synced the phone either by iCloud or physically to my PC since deleting, so recovery is not possible via iTunes. I have a PC so I am unable to use 3rd party software such that only works on MACs (disc drill for example)
What I am getting at is, can it be done? I am not sure it can unless it is possible for my PC to see the iPhones flash drive as a PC recognisable (for want of a better word) flash drive!
I have also tired other 3rd party software that CLAIMS it can recover lost/deleted files from an iPhone but guess what.. Yep, all of them are unable to see the flash drive of my phone.
So, is there a PC owner out there that has successfully recovered a deleted files from an iPhone?

View 10 Replies View RelatedMy wife has a 16GB Galaxy S6 with basic clamshell case while my son has a 32GB Galaxy S6 which is entirely enclosed in an Otterbox Defender case.
From the same location (the classrooom she teaches in) I can receive a text message from my son BUT NOT my wife. The reception in her classroom is spotty at best. Only when she moves to a location with better reception is her phone able to actually transmit the text messages (sometimes I receive messages from her hours later when she leaves school).
why one S6 has no issue while the other does? We are all using the stock messaging app.
My iPhone 3GS used to work well with a Motorola H700 headset and the bluetooh in my Lexus. All of a sudden, I could connect with the H700 or the Lexus and place a call but there was no audio received or sent even though the screen in the Lexus said it was being sent/received. I have checked all settings; I have removed and re-setup the iPhone on both devices and to no avail. Is there something I am missing? I know the bluetooth system in the Lexus works because i can connect my Morotola SLVR to it and get audio both ways.

I have set up the camera settings on my E55 to store pictures on the memory card.Now, after transferring those I wanted onto my computer's HD, I deleted most of the photos from the card (in Windows Explorer). However, when I go to 'gallery' on my phone (with the memory card inside), these files can still be seen - i.e., their names and sizes (but not the images). I cannot seem to be able to delete these entries from the phone's interface.

Long time LG G2 user that just picked up a refurb S5 yesterday.On my G2, if I wanted to transfer files quickly between my laptop (PC) and phone, I could just connect the 2 via a built-in wifi file sharing app. I don't see something similar for the S5. Any quick/easy/free way to connect my phone to my laptop via wifi? Would prefer not to have to hook up my USB cord every time I need to do a file transfer.

I just got this new Blackberry 9700. When I got to Advanced Options > About it says "smartphone (3G, WiFi)" on the 2nd line. However when I goto "Manage Connections" I don't see any options for WiFi. Any ideas what is going on? How do I use WiFi? Just an FYI, I just recently upgraded to this OS, but even with the other OS the options was not there.
I have a blackberry storm and i want to connect it to my home wi-fi but when i open manage connections it just don't show any option for wi-fi setup it only display mobile network n Bluetooth option and nothing else.

I'm experiencing very slow file uploads to any PC on my LAN.
Downloads (from PC to phone) = 10-15 MBps
Uploads (from Phone to PC) = 1 MBps
My WIFI network is 5G, target PCs are on a Gigabit wired connection.
I've tried several target PCs
Static IP for the phone
Rebooted the router
Rebooted device
Changed network to 2.4GHz
Why I'm seeing very slow upload of files ? I'm not even sure if this is normal ....
I just got brand new white bold 9700 yesterday from Rogers Wireless and tried to setup WiFi at home. I have BIS data plan and my laptop can use wireless connection without any problems. The phone did found my modem and I put WEP password correctly but it shows white dash and the WiFi icon on screen shows gray. I've been talking with Rogers technical support guys 3 times:
First time they asked me to turn off the phone, take out battery and put it back, delete profile and reset, it failed
Second time: turn off my modem and reboot it, it didn't work neither
Third time: they asked me to download desktop manager and handheld code file to reinstall OS. But I found that the link they gave me is desktop manager 4.6 which is older than mine (the CD comes with the phone is desktop 5.0.1). I have my laptop (Windows vista x64) installed desktop manager 5.0.1 via CD, and I downloaded the 4.6 version and installed it on my desktop pc (windows XP ). But I hesitate to connect my cell to either of them to continue. I don't want to mess up my cell OS. To me it doesn't make sense for me to reinstall OS and even down version from 5.0 to 4.6.
Right now I use my BIS data plan to do everything(check email, BBM so far). I've searched other posts and tried other things like run diagnoses tests, turn mobile network off and WiFi off, back on, delete WiFi profile, rescan put it back, take out battery. None of those worked. Still the icon of WiFi on screen is gray.
My iPhone has no wifi, in settings the option is off and impossible to change it.
