I just received a LG E900 I bought off of eBay. It came from a seller in China. I put in my SIM card and turned the phone on, but it keeps saying No Service. I am with Koodo. Is there something wrong with my phone, or will it only run on the CDMA network?
I've just bought a Nokia E5-00 and would like to know if there's any possibility of transferring the text messages i had on the Samsung E900 to this new phone.
T-Mobile Teaser Page and then, if you have not noticed, as i have when i was in portland last week....HSPA+ is getting rolled out with speeds up to 21mb/s. here are the rates that are coming or are already available to date: my device was "locked" in at the 3.5g the whole time i was in portland and my battery lasted longer, proly because it was getting my data faster and was not transmitting as long...my calls were also somehow "clearer"
i get spots in my home area of bay area, california, but i know this is becuase they are doing the site optimizations here...sometimes, my coverage is absolutely nothing where it was decent before. even though the HSPA+ is supposed to go to 21mb/s, our devices are rated up to 10mb/s on the n900...which is still the fasted available...........
I'm on 3 UK. When the phone shows that it has an HSPA signal (H or H+) I can connect to the internet (using the browser or a music streaming app for example). If the signal isn't HSPA then I lose internet access even when I still have a strong 3G signal. Has anyone else come across this with the SGS II or with other phones on 3 UK?
I notice when I am on LTE I always get Internet but when it switches to HSPA it will show I am connected but nothing connects.
Yesterday for example I was on Wifi and then I noticed I had a couple of extra bars well I turned Wifi off and then it showed 3 to 4 bars but no H or LTE and no Internet. I went and choice t-mobile then t-mobile fast and it showed LTE again.
In this thread, 4G referrs to HSPA+, LTE referrs to LTE.Below I'm going to go into detail about the LTE issue with the Lumia 900 on AT&T. This issue is separate from the no data connectivity issue that has already been addressed with an update. The problem: The phone will not reconnect to LTE after you leave the LTE coverage area and come back into the LTE coverage area. Data works fine, but the phone only connects to 4G (HSPA+). You are now stuck with slower 4G untill you reboot the phone or use the airplane mode trick (explained later). For example: I live in a 4G coverage area and work in an LTE coverage area. I go to work and the phone connects to LTE. I go home and the phone drops to 4G like it should since there is no LTE there. When I go back to work the next day, the phone will not connect to LTE. It stays on 4G. I have attached two pictures demonstrating the issue. Picture 1 shows the phone with a 4G data connection even though I have 5 signal bars and I'm in an LTE coverage area. Picture 2 shows the same phone after I reboot the device. I'm in the exact same location, but I now have LTE after reboot.
When does the problem seem to occur? The problem occurs if you leave the LTE coverage area and come back after a few hours. It seems to happen most often after only 2 to 8 hours in the 4G area.I have been working with AT&T engineering for about a month and they have done multiple traces and can't find anything wrong with the network. They see the phone connected to the 4G antenna instead of the LTE antenna on the tower. My moms Lumia 900 has the same problem. My wife has the HTC Titan II Windows Phone with LTE and it works perfectly.Based on my own observations, the issue has nothing to do with the amount of data you use either. During the time you leave the LTE area, the battery may also appear to drain faster than normal. I believe the problem is the phone keeps looking for that LTE signal but can't find it. It then gives up and goes into 4G mode to save the battery but never again tries to reconnect to LTE.
How to force create the problem: I did this 8 miles from the official LTE coverage area. 1) At a high elevation facing the LTE coverage area, I turned on airplane mode while I was NOT in the LTE coverage area. 2) Next I turned off airplane mode. 3) The phone connected to LTE with one signal bar while not in the LTE coverage area. 4) Moments later it dropped to 4G. 5) Then I drove 10 minutes to the LTE coverage area and it did not connect to LTE. It appears the phone saw the very weak signal and locked itself in 4G mode.Temporary fix: To restore the LTE connection, you can reboot the device, or turn airplane mode on and then turn airplane mode off a few seconds later. This of course turns off all radios and turns them back on.
i have an unlocked Atrix HD from Bell Mobilty and i'm using it on t-mobile. first few days were great! i have hspa+ with speeds at par with my old sensation. however, ive been stuck on edge since this morning. i've been playing with my phone checking if tmobile has lit up their refarmed hspa pcs network in my area using the service menu. since then i couldn't bring the AWS HSPA+ back.
Whatsapp Messenger does not work on E (Edge ) or H (HSPA) on Lumia 710. Read in the previous post saying to report it to the wassapp grp. But the messenger works properly on a SAMSUNG OMNIA W ( a WP7.5 Device )on E (Edge) . This Problem is only with LUMIA .
my ATRIX 4G toggles from UMTS to HSPA and back all the time. i see that on the mobile network type under settings--> about phone--> status.
After each of these toggles the mobile network state (same status menu) is connecting (and then connected until next toggle)
i suspect this phenomena to be the reason that my internet connection is unstable (disconnected very often). I'm using original ROM w. MotoBlur of course. any way i could just disable the HSPA and check if the UMTS is enought ?
I have BB Desktop Manager 5.0.1 and I am un able to syncronize my Contacts with Windows Live Mail from Windows 7. The only options the Desktop Manager offers are: Outlook Express, Importad./Exportad. ASCII adn Yahoo.
I'm trying to download my music but WP8 uses the Windows Phone App client in Windows 8. Wll, when I tried connecting my phone, it says "Your phone is having troubles" error message. The instruction says to power off the phone. But no luck. Tried searching MS community but nothing there (but I won't rule out I didn't search well. Also, I posted the same question there and waiting for a response.)
So I've been running Root Mobile on my phone for the past few months now, and am noticing that my coverage has NEVER ONCE been better than -80 on my Sprint Tour. Its eiter -80 or above. I've been through several OS's both leaked, hybrids, and official but can never seem to get reception below -80.
quick question regarding the LED coverage indicator.I currently have 2 bb's a curve 8310 and of course a bold 9700. i have set both bb's to have the LED coverage indicator on. the curve 8310 LED constantly blinks green while the 9700 only blinks while im on a call or if i am using my bbm. the BOLD always has full bars of coverage so im not sure if they changed the way the led indicator works or if there is just a problem with my 9700.
just what the title says. I have an unlocked 3gs that I have been using with Tmobile for some time now and I needed to get att for better coverage at our new house. I activated the sim card with the prepaid phone then popped the sim in the iPhone and now all I get is "No Service." shouldn't this work just fine since my phone is unlocked? what am I doing wrong?
I'm probably in the minority of having just upgraded my phone to 2.1 recently. I did it through PC companion and the phone was working fine however I did notice that dual touch was not updated. So the next day I connected it and tried SE Update Service. The message stated that the latest software was already installed. I then disconnected the phone but now I have no network at all. I've even tried using different sim cards as well. So should I just go ahead and reinstall the update or is there some sort of software repair available with SEUS or PC companion? Also, can anyone tell me what the latest firmware, baseband version etc. should be if I have the latest update with the dual touch
I want to buy T-Mobile's Samsung Vibrant on ebay, if it is a brand new unit, is there anyway I'll get warranty coverage? Because it's hard justifying a expensive purchase without a proper warranty.
i try to upgrade my iphone 3gs to ios5, but when all done suddenly my iphone couldnt open due to out of coverage. On the itunes says that 'there is no simcard inserted on your phone' why could it be happen like this?
i just bought this new Xperia Ray (android 2.3.3) in October. I'm using a 2G sim.the problem is that if the phone goes out of coverage, then it doesn't reselect the network. After some time if some1 calls, my phone indicates a switched off message whereas it is 'ON'. I don't know if it is a Phone issue or Android 2.3.3 issue or Network provider issue.
Just bought an 'unlocked' Torch 9800 from Amazon. We are having a problem with the set up. The WiFi signal is recognized by the device but we are unable to send or receive emails. When you log onto the browser we are unable to go on line as it says it has WiFi switched on but no coverage.I have contacted my provider 'Three' and they say that from their end everything looks good to go.My previous phone is a Curve 9300 which works fine, I am having to use my old phone and it is sending and receiving emails just fine with good coverage. The Torch keeps on dropping out of the coverage its all very frustrating. We have come to the conclusion that the problem is the phone itself, either it hasnt been unlocked properly or we are missing something in the set up.
I'm using E72, i've problem of NO NETWORK COVERAGE as when i'm talking in phone with somebody, suddenly i can't hear the voice but still it shows as in connection there and later it shows as no network coverage and cut the connection. now it happns normally and i don't know whether its the coverage problem or phone problem
For the last month my phone has started breaking up mid call. I stay still where I know I have good reception but it still happens. It does it when I call land lines too so I know it's my phone, not a reception problem at the other end.
My Nokia N97 Mini, about 1 year old, suddenly decided it did not want to get any reception at all. I have travelled via train to different places for work and such and noticed it still was not getting reception. I have also tried restarting the phone, trying my sisters sim card and none of this seemed to work.
I just left the IPhone & converted to the 9700 & I absolutely love it! Does anyone know if ATT has some type of 3G map that shows future coverage? 3G is available about 1 mile from my home, so I am wandering with it being that close, if coverage will soon come my way.
