Sony Ericsson :: Elm Error Recording Video
Aug 26, 2010I've had my Elm for a month. Previous to today the video function was working fine, but now for some unknown reason - whenever I press 'record' it just quits the application and saves onto the phone a 00:00 long video file which cannot be played or deleted It still takes pictures fine and I have over 1GB of free space so that isn't an issue

Aug 25, 2010Recently when i recorded few videos, and when i playback the video ive record i found that the video is like stuck and freezes for few second and it stucks for several time meaning that its not smooth. But the problem is the audio is there but the video freezes.

Nov 30, 2010I've had my Hazel since May, and it's been nothing but great so far Until recently I noticed that the video recording function has been acting a little weird. It stops recording by itself after about 55 seconds, and it's getting really annoying. Does anyone know how to fix this? Oh, and I dropped the phone twice a few weeks back but i don't think that should impact anything. Everything else is working just fine.

Aug 20, 2010When I try to move some files from my phone memory to my memory card, the phone gets stuck on moving files for AGES and then the files dont even get copied sometimes! When I tried to do this file by file, it did the same thing, and I waited for half an hour, before trying to exit, (the phone didnt respond) and I had to get the battery out to restart the phone! I tried a master reset, and now I've lost my themes and ringtones.

Sometimes when I call people there is a sound in the background (which can be heard by the other person as well) like when you keep the phone near a large speaker (or subwoofer). This happens randomly and sometimes even when I am outside, with no speakers around (although when I am home the sound can be heard even with the speakers turned off).

Dec 5, 20108GB microSD works fine in computer but not in my Naite. During a file transfer process it prompts: 'Memory full. Delete one or more files of your choice' even when there is sufficient memory in the memory card. After this the memory card ceases to be detected by the phone and it hangs. I have to restart to resume normal functioning. Is there any problem due to the maximum limit of the memory card used? Memory cards below 8GB works fine in the phone.

Oct 8, 2010I just bought a Naite yesterday. Used it as usual, drained the battery first, then charged it up till it's 100 percent complete. I went to school. During the trip, I plugged in the bundled headset HPM-60 and played some music. I noticed then, compared to other phones, that the volume level of the music I'm hearing from the headset is a little soft considering I'm, at that time, playing the music at it's maximum volume. I tried changing the equalizers of the phone but still, there is no great change to the volume I'm hearing.
I played the same music on Nokia 7210 Supernova and Motorola W231, with same bitrates, sampling frequencies, and file size, and found out that the Naite's sound is really softer compared to the other two. I even tried to fiddle with the settings (stereo widening, equalizers) but still, the Naite ended up with the softest sound. Is there anyway I can increase the volume of my Naite?

Oct 15, 2010I bought naite from Fido, Canada. I realized that these options and menu are missing in device. I checked the manual and it says that it was there but I don't have any clue who removed these features from the phone. Sep 6, 2010I just got my Elm phone today. I made a short video, downloaded the SE PC Suit and sync'd my phone to my PC using a USB. I then copied my video to my desktop and played it in Windows Classic Media Player. Now I have pretty much every codec update under the sun so was suprised to find that the video was extremely choppy. The audio worked fine but the video was extremely slow and it was as if I was watching picture slides as opposed to a video! When I tansferred the video to Vegas Pro there was no video at all, just audio. I could see the video slides in the programme but when I clicked play it was just black (with sound).

Sep 11, 2010I have had my k500i for about three years and I like it more than any other phone that I have played with. One thing that I found frustrating, though, was the lack of a "pause" function on the video player. I am posting this information in case it is useful to other k550i users. I used to play videos by going to File Manager --> Videos --> Select Video and was frustrated by the lack of a pause function on the player. If my viewing was interrupted I had to miss some of the programmer or start over. Just today (three years after getting the phone!) I read the manual closely and it looked like there was SUPPOSED to be a pause function. Indeed there is! If you select Entertainment --> Video Player --> Select Video to play a video (instead of the route mentioned above) then the Pause Button (on the left side of the screen) works as it is supposed to. There is a bug in the software that the pause button is not enabled when playing videos via the other route. I hoe this post helps SOMEONE out there.! Let me know if it did.
