How can I send my contacts to my iPhone? I have tried to do this through my iCcloud settings, but I do not get the prompt for a merge. Is there another way to do this? Am I doing something wrong?
View 1 RepliesThe situation is that my friend originally had a @me.com account before iCloud existed. This [URL]account is a work account setup by her employer especially for her. She has used and still uses this [URL] for her iCallendars and iDisk. [URL]But before iCloud was realease, she bought an iPhone which she then synced with her mac. And she had to create an Apple ID. So she created and apple ID with... [URL]She used this Apple ID to sync with her mac for itunes. How ever, iCal was still using the [URL] for her work. OK now, iCloud was realeased, and her Apple ID got moved up to iCloud. So her iCal on her iPhone is using the Apple ID callenders which have nothing.[URL] expired about a week ago and this @me.com account had to move up over to iCloud. So she now has 2 iCloud accounts! With no option to move [URL] to her current Apple ID.

I am trying to merge 2 apple ID's but I understand you can't do that. So I wanted to be able to access all my purchases in my iCloud. Is this possible with 2 apple ID'?. Going forward I will only use 1 of the apple ID's.

Just upgraded to the 4S. I set it up by "restoring" to the last backup on the Cloud, but for some reason, in the "Settings" panel, the iCloud option is grayed out. This is also the case for all of my individual email addresses under "Mail, Contacts,..." I called support and they just made me reset my password - twice - which hasn't done anything but annoy me.

I have a 3GS and need to sync contacts to iTunes in order to sync to the 4S. I have an account linked to my husbands and I am trying to figure out which prompt to choose "merge info" or "replace info". Ideally I do not wish to merge my contacts with his, I just wish to have it seperate.

I have my contact spread out over mutple source like sim, phone, and accounts.
Problem is each account has duplicates on its own and there has been no cure to this madness.
I have 2 friends in my phone's contacts, named Paul and Paula, with the same last name (they're married) and same home address (of course); their mobile, home and work numbers are different, but my phone has combined the 2 into 1 contact listing (Paul's).FWIW, my Contacts Display options are set to only Google, new Contact storage is set to Google, and as far as I can tell, Google is the only list of Contacts my phone syncs with.

If you go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, and Calendar > Default Calendar > you're supposed to see: Calendar and Birthdays, right? But in my phone, it has Calendar with a blue dot, a Japanese text which I think also means Calendar because it also has a blue dot, another Japanese text with a green dot (I don't know what it means), and then Birthdays with a red dot. Same goes with my Notes. If I go to Notes and tap on Accounts, I'd see From my Mac, iCloud and another one with a Japanese text. How do I disable the Japanese words?

I have been trying to restore my iPhone for about 12 hours now, and I'm about to pull my hair out if it doesn't work soon. The restore to factory settings goes fine, and then when I begin to set it up, it first gives me trouble activating it, but I just press continue when it says it hasn't been activated and a few minutes later I have signal. The next problem arises when I try and restore it from a iCloud backup. I have tried 3 different back ups, all 3 have given me the same problem. They say there is anywhere from 15-45 hours remaining, and it gets stuck at about a centimeter along the progress bar of the restoring settings part. I have not been able to get past this. Quite a few times it has said that my internet connection failed and I'll need to restart the restore. I know this most likely isn't true because I'll be on the computer at that exact point and not have an issue with the computer. I also have a very stable internet connection, and very fast. When I have done restores in the past it took about five minutes.

Cannot update personal info (contacts, calendar, reminders) without being forced toive up all my private data to Apple via the iCloud. This really ***** and I'm sure probably illegal somewhere. Sometimes feel like just trashing my iphone and getting an Android. I am not the only one with this issue. I purchased a new iPhone 3GS and started using it. I set up iCloud backup, and chose to save all my contacts etc to iCloud.The device was defective, so I had to exchange it. When setting up the new device, it doesn't seem to see the backup I made. It makes me setup a new device. After I setup the new device when I go to iCloud settings, I can see the backup I made earlier, but there is no way to restore it. What should I do?
