On my iPhone I have all of the iCloud settings turned to ON so everything transfers/backs up. Correct? Well, where does the photo stream photo's go? Documents & Data? For example, if I take a pic on my phone, isn't it supposed to sync to my iCloud account and add that pic to my iMac somewhere?

If you go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, and Calendar > Default Calendar > you're supposed to see: Calendar and Birthdays, right? But in my phone, it has Calendar with a blue dot, a Japanese text which I think also means Calendar because it also has a blue dot, another Japanese text with a green dot (I don't know what it means), and then Birthdays with a red dot. Same goes with my Notes. If I go to Notes and tap on Accounts, I'd see From my Mac, iCloud and another one with a Japanese text. How do I disable the Japanese words?

Once or twice a month, when I unlock my phone I have the white apple with the progress bar below it out of nowhere. All my settings are turned back to factory defaults. Did the full restore and all but sooner or latter it does it again.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to restore my iPhone for about 12 hours now, and I'm about to pull my hair out if it doesn't work soon. The restore to factory settings goes fine, and then when I begin to set it up, it first gives me trouble activating it, but I just press continue when it says it hasn't been activated and a few minutes later I have signal. The next problem arises when I try and restore it from a iCloud backup. I have tried 3 different back ups, all 3 have given me the same problem. They say there is anywhere from 15-45 hours remaining, and it gets stuck at about a centimeter along the progress bar of the restoring settings part. I have not been able to get past this. Quite a few times it has said that my internet connection failed and I'll need to restart the restore. I know this most likely isn't true because I'll be on the computer at that exact point and not have an issue with the computer. I also have a very stable internet connection, and very fast. When I have done restores in the past it took about five minutes.

I turned on the "contacts" feature in the iCloud menu in settings on my iPhone4. I ended up with a lot useless email addresses from my yahoo contact list that was cluttering up my phone contacts (actual phone numbers.) I thought I could undo this by turning off the contacts feature in iCloud. Instead, it wiped ALL of my phone number information in contacts, and left me with just the list of my email addresses, which I don't need. I am desperate to recover all those phone numbers!

This is also the case for all of my individual email addresses under "Mail, Contacts,..." I called support and they just made me reset my password - twice - which hasn't done anything but annoy me.

It prompts me to use connect to iTunes . I have done all iTunes updates but it says it cannot be restored due to error 14.
It restored correctly once this weekend and functioned for all of an hour before it died.
I'm afraid I'm within days of the one year warranty. Because I live in a rural area I can't get to a Rogers or IApple store I cannot conveniently take it in for replacement or repair. Â

View 10 Replies View RelatedI've always had a habit of turning off 3G whenever I'm not using any type of data. Is anyone else pretty OCD about this like I am? I charge my phone (iP4) every night with plenty of battery left and I'm starting to think I might finally get away from toggling it off. Battery problems were the real reason I started doing it to begin with back on my 3GS.
Also, do you find 3G sounds better for call quality than Edge? It seems like my phones have been so temperamental when active on 3G versus Edge. I'll probably just spend a week on 3G and see if I notice any major differences.
