Jun 7, 2012I want to change the iCloud Account Information under Settings on my iPhone4s. The "Apple ID" that shows up will not allow me change it. Somewhere I read that you can only change it once every 90 days. Is there any way around it. I used an old iTunes Apple ID, belonging to a family member. Now that they have their own iPhone, I need to change my phone to show MY new Apple ID for iCloud, not the family members. When they delete Contacts or do things, I am being affected. Is a complete restore my only option?

May 27, 2012I have struggled over this for days. I recently lost the internet provider on my old internet account which was my old Apple ID. I successfully changed my Apple ID in ITunes to a new permanent email address. I cannot change the settings on the App store or ICloud. The suggested solutions for this problem have not worked for me because there is no option for changing the old Apple ID. When you tap on it, it does not change. I have tried signing in with the Old Apple ID (the old email account) and it doesn't work either. I have synced my phone (and lost my contacts in the process but that was an entirely different headache!) to no avail.
Some of the solutions stated that I should go to the store and tap on the Apple ID and it would allow me to change...no such luck. Also when I tried Iforgot, it would only let me change my password which is not really any help because the problem is the Apple Id.

Mar 12, 2012My AppleID in the settings>iCloud tab of my iphone4 is incorrect. A box pops up to tell me that it is incorrect, and I can either edit or ignore. When I select 'edit' the account information pops up: AppleID, password, and description.
the problem is this: it will allow me to change the password and the description, but the appleID is in grey text and therefore unavailable for editing. UGH.
my appleID in the store is correct. my appleID settings are verified as correct on the myappleid part of the apple site.
Why won't it allow me to change it? I'd really like to get the cloud up & working!

Because if i were to steal and iphone all i have to do is go to the settings, go to icloud, and a simple swipe of the find my iphone and there is nothing they can do about it. I am posting this because i was worrying about my phone being stolen and i thought "oh well" i have the find my iphone turned on, and then it hit me, "how hard is it to turn that off" and answer is, no difficulty at all and i think apple should do something to fix that.

But in my phone, it has Calendar with a blue dot, a Japanese text which I think also means Calendar because it also has a blue dot, another Japanese text with a green dot (I don't know what it means), and then Birthdays with a red dot. IPhone :: It Is Stuck In Restoring Settings During ICloud Restore?
May 7, 2012I have been trying to restore my iPhone for about 12 hours now, and I'm about to pull my hair out if it doesn't work soon. The restore to factory settings goes fine, and then when I begin to set it up, it first gives me trouble activating it, but I just press continue when it says it hasn't been activated and a few minutes later I have signal. The next problem arises when I try and restore it from a iCloud backup. I have tried 3 different back ups, all 3 have given me the same problem. They say there is anywhere from 15-45 hours remaining, and it gets stuck at about a centimeter along the progress bar of the restoring settings part. I have not been able to get past this. Quite a few times it has said that my internet connection failed and I'll need to restart the restore. I know this most likely isn't true because I'll be on the computer at that exact point and not have an issue with the computer. I also have a very stable internet connection, and very fast. When I have done restores in the past it took about five minutes.
