Have over 24,000 contacts that keep duplicating. Google not merging & claim merging is completed which it isn't. Need an app to merge duplications without losing any information such as different phone numbers, different addresses, important dates, notes all contained within each contact. Contacts showing lots of (No Name) and Unknown within contacts list.

I have my contact spread out over mutple source like sim, phone, and accounts.
Problem is each account has duplicates on its own and there has been no cure to this madness.
I have 2 friends in my phone's contacts, named Paul and Paula, with the same last name (they're married) and same home address (of course); their mobile, home and work numbers are different, but my phone has combined the 2 into 1 contact listing (Paul's).FWIW, my Contacts Display options are set to only Google, new Contact storage is set to Google, and as far as I can tell, Google is the only list of Contacts my phone syncs with.

Unknown reasons I now have another messenger icon on top of my original .. Everything seems to work fine.. And it goes away if I soft reset my phone. My husband's Droid Turbo: For some reason, he is forced to enter a year and that messes with the Birthdays Calendar on his google account. Birthdays entered on his contacts do not display ever year on his calendar.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently dropped my Droid Turbo and after picking it up, saw that my screen no longer worked at all and it began restarting itself and playing the "Start up" sound effect over and over. I have important contacts and pictures on this phone and I'd really like to be able to save them. So far I can (sometimes) see it is attached to my computer, but I can retrieve any files because I can't turn on media sharing due to the broken screen and continuous restarting.
I have already gotten my replacement from the warranty I bought from Verizon but I'm unable to connect them to transfer anything. I have also already switched over the simcard and it seems nothing was saved on there either in relation to my contacts or pictures. (If that's even what a sim card is for?)
More recently, my droid turbo has been turning rainbow colors instead of black with the time when it's charging. If I press the lock button myself, the phone will lock and stay black with the time. If I unlock my phone and let it be, it'll turn to the rainbow colors. I have my phone on the turbo charger when this happens!

I have just returned from the Sprint store where they reset my Photon and synced with my old phone after I couldn't get rid of my duplicate contacts. I looked in the store and my phone had single recordings of the contacts, for a total of around 600. I came home, signed in and synced with GMail which only has 3 contacts and was trying to figure out how to send my phone contacts to Gmail. I'm not sure what I did but I suddenly have 1200 contacts on my phone and onl,y 3 contacts in Gmail.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy contacts are updated through CompanionLink with my Palm Desktop. There are duplicates of almost all of the contacts after the sync is completed. To remove the duplicates I use Contact Remover. Each duplicate is reviewed with this program and indicates either "Account Motorola" or Account MyGmail Address.
How do I stop this duplication during every update from my desktop?

I also don't see a progress indicator on the Nav so I tapped OK and synced again. All my contacts were synced, but now they're in the Nav twice. How do I delete the duplicates? Im assuming this phonebook doesnt work that way. it added facebook contacts before i got to add my real contact list. so now there are doubles of some ppl . and some of my contacts that dont have their phone #'s on fb, i cant link them to my contacts like the EVO would. Also, some contacts that i had linked to facebook show up now with a NOTE under them with a HTClink:for their facebook. (if you can understand that) Also the contacts that say they do have a facebook. when i click go to their page. its just goes to mine. so the links must be screwed up.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got the DX2 and have had it freeze on me when I'm typing on the keyboard. Initially, with the default keyboard settings, it would freeze on me whenever I put a space in between words after like the 3rd word typed. THEN, after removing the auto-correct function from the keyboard settings I solved that problem. Now, whenever I type a string of "!!!" or "..." it freezes the keyboard on me. The only way to get the phone back up is a reboot.
Secondly, I have received numerous duplicate text messages (as many as 7) of incoming texts from multiple different users in different areas of the country. I was in 3G coverage areas with excellent bars at the time so I'm not sure why this would happen. I also checked on this with my verizon bill and I'm being billed for these duplicate messages! NOT COOL.
How do I delete a duplicate folder from the email folders? (I have a drafts folder and what looks like a draft paper.)

I have an account linked to my husbands and I am trying to figure out which prompt to choose "merge info" or "replace info". Ideally I do not wish to merge my contacts with his, I just wish to have it seperate.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to take full advantage of HD video camera on my Droid Turbo, and found an external lavalier lapel microphone (Audio Technica 3350iS, which comes with an adapter for "smartphones including iPhone and newer Android phones"). But even when I use the adapter, the video recorder will only use the phone's on board mic. How can I disable/mute the onboard mic? Scoured the interweb, and at one point there was a perfect app "Mute Mic", but the NSA or Google or Motorola decided it was too useful to live.

Any reminder or event added to the newer calendar showed up on the older one. I had hoped that with various updates, the old calendar would be removed. How can I get rid of the old calendar?
