Samsung Galaxy S II :: Where Blacklisted Calls Go To Or Just Cut Off
Aug 21, 2011
I was wondering where blacklisted calls go to? Do they go to my mailbox or are they just getting cut off? I'm getting slightly spooky phonecalls. Does not hide his number, so I could blacklist him and I think I can sill see in my log when and if he calls, so i was just wondering where his calls end up.
where blacklisted calls go to? Do they go to my mailbox or are they just getting cut off? i'm getting slightly spooky phonecalls, some dude wispers "who is this" all the time. stupid shit does not hide his number, so I could blacklist him and I'm gonna phone the police if he phones again I think I can still see in my log when and if he calls, so i was just wondering where his calls end up.
my phone has been blacklisted, and it wasnt by my network provider, i dont know eho it was by, can anybody help me on how to unblacklist my phone? so i an use my baby again
Started to get to grips with my S2 after switching over from Blackberry for business. Must admit, i'm quite enjoying it now! I still use an iPhone for personal so it's quite nice to have the comparison..Anyway, sitting at my desk with my headset on I would love to be able to answer my client calls and reply to SMS by using my PC instead of the phone itself. It may sound lazy but it'd be so much quicker to just stick it in a USB dock or something and then not have to worry about it again all day.Is this possible? I've seen something called MOBILedit but the reviews don't seem too clever.
Does everybody else find phone calls too quiet when using a plugged in headset? music can go loud, so the hardware can clearly drive the speakers but phone calls are very quiet even on max volume. I have the current firmware (updated through Kies).
My t-mobile uk s2 has started behaving oddly.this morning calls were fine but tonight i cant make or receive calls, they just stop with a call ended note .
I have a Bulgarian SIM card (with roaming activated) and everything worked fine in Bulgaria. However, I went to Denmark. I switched the airplane mode on in the plane and when I turned that mode offf, I got the message 'emergency calls only', which prevents me from making any calls. I bought a Danish SIM card but I got the same message. I have another phone with me (some old Alcatel) and both SIM cards work pretty fine there.
Have a really bad echo every time someone calls me. I can't hear it at all but whoever calls says the echo is very bad on their side. I've tried taking off the cover and that doesn't work.
Im loving the Galaxy SII but, 9 times out of 10, when I try to make a call, the call ends within 2 seconds, The phone appears to dial but then the call ends. The reception seems good (4 of 4 bars) and HSPA connection. I have tried a new sim card and reseting the phone to factory settings. But the problem persists. I also have intermittent problem of the phone not receiving incoming calls.
I've tried the 'blacklist' option but it seems that people can find out that I've blacklisted them. Is there a more discreeet way where they can't find out?
Having a problem with calls over bluetooth through a Pioneer car stereo with a Galaxy S2. I can make and receive calls ok, and the stereo mutes whenever a call comes in. Call audio is directed through the stereo speakers, but the person at the other end cannot hear me. If I switch the call to the phones speaker they can hear me ok, but this means I have no audio through the stereo. Pressing the privacy button on the stereo appears to have the same effect. I saw one suggestion to try disabling media over bluetooth, and have tried this but the problem persists. I have tested the connection using an iphone and it worked perfectly.
I've just upgraded my Galaxy S II to ICS, and since upgrading I can't receive any phone calls from a specific number. However, I don't actually receive any phone call, just a missed call in my call log, with a weird symbol (attached). I can't find this symbol in the user-manual, or via a Google search.I'm on O2, and the caller has a HTC Desire (Froyo) on Vodafone.
Anyway, last night I set my alarm as I normally do before bed and this morning I over slept by a disgusting amount because somehow all of my apps had spontaneously crashed while I was asleep! The force close notification kept coming up for a number of different applications before I was forced to simply turn it off. When I turned it on again a few seconds later, most of my settings had been wiped along with much of the data kept on the actual phone memory. Some stuff was still there, like all my apps, my connections and passwords, but my home screen was defaulted, as were my message tone, ring tone and input settings. Also gone were any phone numbers I had stored on the phone itself as well as all of my inbox messages.
So, I went into the settings to put my screen lock back on because I noticed that had been reset, too. I did the normal routine, picked the pattern, confirmed it and so on. But after I put my phone down and locked the screen, when I picked it back up again and pressed the home key to activate the screen, it was just unlocked. I didn't have to input the unlock pattern. However, when I went back into the settings to make sure they were all okay, it made me enter the unlock pattern to get into it! How odd.
When I get an incoming call on my Sprint Galaxy S II with my Plantronics Voyager Pro headset, I have to press answer on the phone, then hit keyboard, then hit 1 to answer the call (which is ridiculous, especially if I am driving). Is there a way I can set the phone so I can answer calls just by tapping my headset like all other phones I have had in the past?
i have the samsung galaxy s2. Just wondering where i find the notification for lost calls or incoming messages.i mean : when the phone goes into standby (batterisaving) and screen goes "black" , id like to know if it is possible to have a light blinking that notify my that i have had a missed call or got a text message. as it is now i have to press middle button to check.
So basically I went away for 4 weeks, came back, switched on my phone and now BOOM it won't call anyone, it won't use 3G or anything or even make texts.
Here's some useful information:
- I'm picking up signal, and can receive texts etc.
- when I try and call someone, it says 'you cannot make outgoing calls while call barring is on' (even though I've checked in settings and it isn't).
- I'm on o2 in the UK
- I've checked my status, and it says 'Mobile Network State' is 'Disconnected'.
- It's running 2.3.3
- I've got the Network Mode on Auto (as it always was when the phone actually worked), and also I haven't been playing around with the APNs or anything like that.
- I bought the phone legit from Carphone warehouse a few months ago, and it worked mostly fine up until I switched it back on yesterday. I'd had a few problems with non-wifi internet before I left last month, but nothing affecting making calls etc.
My phone says its has the following - ndroid version: 2.3.3Baseband version: I9100BUKG1Kernel version: 2.6.35.7-I9100BUKG2-CL342890 root@DELL102 #2Build number: GINGERBREAD.BUKG2ies says may phone has the latest firmware (Kies also updated) but since I updated the phone about 3 weeks ago it keeps restart (as if powered off/on) at various times (during calls, internet access, running apps). Went into my local VF shop and they said to check there has not been a never firmware update but Kies finds nothing. Is anyone else experiencing this?
I installed the application pro version (mod Note :unapproved app store removed) for my Samsung s6 edge and removed the lite version and thought that i could sync from dropbox or google drive but it never synced from those applications and I have tried for a very long time to find all my important recorded calls that i never received back in many different ways.
When someone calls me and I want to answer the call by swiping the green button I got nothing even I can't end the call by swiping the red button or even by pressing the lock key. I have to wait until the caller ends the call and then I call him back.
I have a S2 on UK Vodafone contract even though I am currently living in NZ. My phone is a UK model.UK Vodafone have terminated the Passport service as of 1st November which means I now go on to NZ roaming which at 1.65/NZ$3.30 a minute is somewhat steep - I also pay that amount for the incoming call.I now need to block all incoming calls on my phone so as I am not tempted to answer calls at odd times of the day or night (quite hard when we are 13 hours ahead of UK and totally out of sync with them) and pay extortionate amounts of money BUT I need to leave the phone available to make and receive text messages. It is not as easy as to just get a NZ phone contract as this was my life line with friends and family in UK until my provider pulled the passport service so need to disable the phone I have.how to do this so as I can still send/receive text but NOT receive voice calls on my S2?
My 920I Galaxy S6 has stopped receiving calls, either if I am using the phone or it is locked I won't receive any call, I have to restart my phone to get the messages of missed calls and call them back. I tried many different modems, bootloader, roms and firmwares and nothing has worked. Also, I tried both on WIFI and 3G/4G and it doesn't work.
Just updated via Samsung Apps the camera firmware to a CDE11 or something version. Took 4 minutes to update and flash this firmware. I wonder what exactly it changed in the camera firmware? Hopefully improved things or bug fixes.I will test a few videos and see if the bitrate has changed or not.
I bought a nexus yesterday and have been unable to register it with the American samsung site (no options for us canadians there) not to mention the fact that after typing in my serial the site says my handset was manufactured 1/31/1993!
On the canadian site which i have all my other samsung products registered, there is no listing for my model number (GT-I9250TSDTLS (this is whats on the box, phone menu just lists my model as Samsung Galaxy Nexus, though the label under that battery shows GT-I9250M as the model number..how am I supposed to register my phone?[URL]..shows that galaxy owners can get a free copy of angry birds space... how do I get that?
Word on the street is that there may be a refreshed Samsung Galaxy Nexus coming. I wasrReading over at Android and Me and this thread caught my attention:The rumors state that there is going to be a refreshed camera. Possibly along the way of 8.0MP. On top of that, the processors are scheduled to be refreshed using The faster SGX544 GPU is included with Texas Instruments upcoming OMAP4470 processor. This is the successor to the original OMAP4460 found in the Galaxy Nexus, that includes the older SGX540 GPU.With the Sprint version of the Galaxy Nexus coming soon we'll have to wait and see if they are in fact getting a refreshed model or the LTE based model that Verizon has currently, Either way, I hope they do launch a refresh on the HSPA+ line as well. I use the Galaxy Nexus and while I love the phone, I wish the camera was better. Faster is always better as well so I'll take the processor bump.
I was thinking of buying the s2x telus version from craigslist. I was wondering if someone who bought the phone from telus sells me this phone, would I be able to enjoy the 1 year manufacturer warranty? I understand that the warranty starts when the phone is first bought. I'm just wondering if that warranty will be transferred to me under these scenerios?
1. If the seller had bought the phone from telus outright. a. If the seller has kept the original receipt and gives it to me. b. If the seller has lost the original receipt and does not provide me with it.
2. If the seller had bought the phone as an upgrade. a. if the seller has kept the original receipt and gives it to me. b. If the seller has lost the original receipt and does not provide me with it.
In case I do get to enjoy the warranty, will I be taking my phone to a telus store if it needs repair or will I send the phone directly to the manufacturer? I don't plan to use the phone with the telus network after I purchase it.
