I have the GS2, in the social hub my home emails appear, it is displaying I have 16 unread mails, I cannot find any unread emails anywhere! when new mail appears that total goes up to say 23, I open 7 and it goes back to 16 again!!

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhile I know 4.0 is on its way, I do not know if the following will be possible...or if it is already possible I will apology and call me "stupid".I have set up my Hotmail account on my iPhone (I know it is POP blablablabla) and because of POP (Hotmail sucks too by the way) all my mail are UNREAD.
Question is: Is there a way to select all mails and mark them AS UNREAD AT ONCE!
I have a talktalk account they come through to my phone and then they delete themselves.There does not seem to be any reason but its very frustrating as I read them and if I want to go back to them sometimes they are there and sometimes they have deleted thereselves!! Are there any settings that could cause this ?

View 5 Replies View RelatedThe SG-II's built-in mail app has a most annoying "feature":it obviously marks mails that it downloaded as read on the POP server. I would prefer to have them still left as "unread", so when I access my account via Outlook later, they would be downloaded there as well. I realize, that this would mean that I have to re-read them (or mark them as read) again but I would prefer to have ALL my mails in Outlook as well. Currently, if I read my mails via the SG-II but want to keep one of them also in Outlook (e.g for archiving purposes), I have to resend the mail to my second account (which is only polled by Outlook). I find this is most stupid and annoying!
PS.: I do NOT want to switch to IMAP for other reasons and my POP account has worked as I described with Windows Mobile before, so I don't see, why I can't have that same behavior with my Andorid device.
I have been using Nova Launcher on my s5 and really like it. Before I get Nova Prime I was wondering if the unread counts will work using the teslaunread plugin with the Samsung email and Samsung SMS app.

I'm not getting either with nova, but with Touchwiz I at least get Samsung unread badges.
Why does the gmail app icon always show 99+ and the email icon always shows 30 emails even after I clean up my mailboxes and know for sure that I have 0 unread emails? Is there a fix for this? When I was on ios as soon as I had all emails read the counts from the app icons used to disappear.

I do not have visual voice mail -- this is just plain ol' voicemail. I don't get texts notifying me of VM, either, but I'm not sure I'm set up to receive text notifications, so I'm less concerned about that.
I've been notified before that there is a new voicemail for me, and after that there was a little icon up near the email and text message icons until I listened to it. Fortunately the phone was under warranty, but I lost all dataMy phone got upgraded to ICS. ive never used voice mail before and have just transferred my number from my pay and go phone to contract phone (galaxy s2).once it did it.i got a few network messages and a new voice mail notification.i had to set some sort of number to dial it..and when i call it it, the o2 lady voice just says "at the third stroke the time brought to you by o2 will be blah blah" then beep beep beep..then it just loops....no idea what it is.and i cant get rid of the notification..

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have been dragging and dropping files to my OSX 10.6.8 MacBook happily for a while now, but recently my USB connection has failed to work and Kies keeps dropping out. I used to be able to simply plug the USB cable in, click on the drop-down notification and go from there.However, I now have no drop-down (and yes, I have tried a bunch of different cables), and when I go into USB utilities and go through the rigmarole there, I get stuck in an endless loop where it tells me to plug in the cable, and then tells me the cable is plugged in, and I have to "unplug to connect" - it's all very strange.
I have tried it with debugging both on and off and that does not seem to make any difference. At the same time, Kies now is very sticky, and refuses to find the folders I want. I also have Airdroid, which also is doing silly things and will load one file and no others.Has something happened to my S2 ? Is there an easy step to getting things back on track ? I know it is possible to transfer data of all sorts to the SD card with a reader, but that seems to defeat the purpose of everything - it's also a chore and not easy to do in a hurry.
not long had my s2 and do like it a lot, when trying to use the built in alarm (from going in the clock icon), when ever i try to set time it constantly has the alarm sound as 'good morning' and i am having to set the sound to the sound i want every time i create a new alarm, is there anyway to set the phone up so anytime i create an alarm it will use the sound i want by default?
