My Xperia Play doesn't have POBox Touch installed in it. Does everyone's Play have POBox Touch already installedI thought it was a Sony Ericsson exclusive for their Xperias. Why doesn't the Play have it? I have an Arc which has POBox Touch and I like using it.Is there somewhere I can download it from and get it installed in Xperia Play? The Marketplace doesn't have it.
View 4 RepliesI'm using Xperia mini pro SK17i and POBox touch for my input. When I use the hardware keyboard, sometimes it would work (I can switch between hiragana / alphabetical input), sometimes it would act just like a normal keyboard (can't switch mode, word suggestion does not appear).

I Have extended warranty with my provider however before i send my phone away for replacement/repair i am hoping to be able to copy my contacts to a safe location until i have my new phone.
So this morning I took my Xperia Play out of its charging dock, to find that the touch screen is now completely unresponsive.I have tried updating and repairing the software through the PC companion, but the screen is still completely unresponsive. The phone is still (technically) working, and can be navigated by using the PS controls, but the touch part of the screen is not working.

View 3 Replies View RelatedChecking my phone, it told me there was an update available. I used the PC connect software to instal the update, following all instructions exactly. The update was applied and the phone shut off. I restarted the phone as instructed, and after a few minutes the update appeared to be successful. However, when I tried to use the phone I discovered that I could not unlock the screen! My first thought was to restart the phone, but without the touch screen, I can't even turn it off! It seems like my only option at this point would be to remove the battery to kill the power, replace the battery, and try restarting the phone.

I'm on D6653 and 5.0.2, and Xperia Keyboard version 6.6.A.0.12.
I'v had my Xperia play for exactly a month, today, and just yesterday night I've encountered a problem where about 2/3s down from the top of the screen there a small area from the left side to the right side of the touch screen that doesn't respond. I can't use my Swype feature, and when I switch to the regular Android keyboard I can't hit the "O"button because of it's location (Area where the screen doesn't respond when its vertical or horizontal).
I've been doing some internet hunting and the closest name I've gotten close to is "dead zone"
I've noticed that ever since I updated my xperia play to the latest 2.3.4 update, the default browser struggles to load any web pages that begin with https, so I am unable to log in to a lot of web sites e.g. hotmail and google mail. The xperia play's email app gets my emails fine though so it seems to be something to do with the default browser? I've used a third party browser (Dolphin) and https web sites work fine through it.

Hi I have had the Bold for about 3 months and about 1 month ago the touchscreen stopped working, i looked online and saw the battery reset option (taking out the battery) it worked at first but then it happened again and again ect. So i then saw the alt+aA+del option this worked too temporarily so now i will take out the battery it will work for about five minutes and then you will not be able to use the touchscreen (everything else is fine)?

I've tried hard reseting my phone, but the thing is i've put on a lock code. So whenever i turn my cell on it asks for lock code which i can't input cause of the touch screen being down. had my play for a few months now and love it. However, when i play Battlefield two and attempt to use both touch pads to move about, the game freezes and locks up until i cease touching the two game pads. FYI, im using the stock launcher and i recently reboot the phone so the stock games were deleted. its a canadian phone on the Rogers network. Should i just bring the phone in?
