Another day another teeth clenchingly frustrating problem with the Nokia X6 a.k.a "the most overpriced piece of fecal matter in existence".Now I am attempting the highly ambitious task of transferring a picture from the phone's memory to the PC. Oooh now I know you are probably gasping at the sheer complexity of this action. It is on par with rocket science you may think. So I am I om the dreadful Ovi Suite, and I have found the picture. So like a cad I try dragging it from the Ovi suite page to the desktop. Silly me, that only how every other program would allow you to do it! But no. Not ovi suite. Thankfully it stops me doing this, hell I can right click all day but the fantastic Ovi Suite just doesn't repond with a helpful pop out box giving me options such as "Copy" or "Cut". No, that would be too helpful.
Instead I have to click the picture then go to "copy to computer", where the wonderfully designed Ovi Suite then proceeds to whizz through it with a progress bar, but seeing as though just below this bar is a vast space containing nothingness I think it was a sensible decision for the programmers not to include, oh I don't know A DESTINATION FILEPATH! "Copying to computer" does not tell me where it has been copied to!
Christ was it a conscious decision of Nokia to just make this Ovi Suite the least user friendly as possible? So I have trawled through the millions of Nokia files in my Local disk and cannot find this image. This one little image that all I wanted to do was attach in an email. With a camera its a 30 second job, but good ol' Nokia has other ideas and improves the process by hiding the images away, deep in a folder that is completely secret to the user.So my question is does anybody know which file I should be looking for?The very fact I have had to sign in to this forum sums up how poor Nokia devices are.
Brand new to android and currently have a Samsung S6. I am wanting to transfer my holiday pictures onto my laptop of which there are about 200. I've connected my phone to the laptop, its scanned it and says there's over a 1000 pictures to import. Once i transferred them all there's pictures that aren't even on my phone. A lot of them are icons of apps, pictures from the game Top Eleven and some random Facebook pictures?? Why its doing this?
Is there a way to go in and pick which pics or videos to transfer from the phone to a PC without having to import everything again? I've connected the phone to the PC but I don't see any of the pics or videos listed. I would like to go in and just transfer the newest stuff without having to go through the entire import process again.
How do I download pics I've taken on my iPhone to my Macbook Pro? I want to download those pics to Facebook, for example. I seem to be able to email the pics from the phone but that's all. Also, when I connect the iPhone to the laptop via USB, it no longer shows the device in left menu and doesn't seem to automatically download new pics. Something must have gotten turned off that I'm unaware of.Would also like some info on backing up iPhone and MacBook. Someone told me to upgrade to latest operating system to make use of the Cloud properly for the laptop. I'm new to Apple and need more education, though I love both of my devices immensely. The iPhone backs up to the Cloud it seems but I seem to have to do that manually. I would like both my iPhone and laptop to back up automatically if possible because I don't want to lose any information. What do you suggest? To be safe would you suggest the Cloud and an external back up device as well?how to display address bar
I just tried the sync to cloud thing, and now I have my entire 9000 plus library on my phone! I don't want all the photos on my mac on my phone. I just want to download a few pics from my phone to my computer.
Before the lollipop upgrade I was able to plug my lg3 into my windows8 computer using the USB power cord and easily transfer files (pictures). after upgrade, computer won't recognize the phone. is it possible to roll back to kitkat so I can transfer?
My son's bought me a Google Nexus 5 for Christmas!!! Brilliant! OS - Version 4.4.4
They get things set up and recommended QuickPic - which looks good. However, it has a Wifi Transfer mode that I just don't seem to be able to get working.
I have selected photos, and tried to send but it sits there spinning with a message saying "Please open "Wifi Transfer" in nearby device."
The phone is connected to the internet using the home Wifi, and the desktop is connected using Ethernet.
What do I need to do? Do I need some sort of client on the desktop? The desktop is running Windows 7.
When trying to import pictures and videos from the S5 to Windows 8 desktop, I connect the USB and then right click "import pictures and videos" button.
However, Windows goes through all of my music first (which takes a while) before it finds my pictures and videos in order to download.
Any way to tell windows to skip searching through music files during this search? Just go straight to music or videos.
I have just done some Post Processing Pics via Lightroom 4. I tried to transfer back the pics back to the phone via UBS cable, the phone registered the transfer as successful but I am able to open / even locate when I using the phone. The folders under Pics, Saved Pics all showed up empty without the Post Processed Pics.
I've had my vivaz for over two months and can't store directly to my memory card or transfer pics/music etc from phone memory to card even my more techie friends can't figure it out.
Ive had my 5530 xpressmusic phone for almost 10 mos and its always worked fine, but a few weeks ago i plugged in into my computer and since then my pictures arent in the gallerybut theyre still in the file manager. since then when i pluged it back into the comp only the pics that are saved on the phone are in the gallery. so my question is, is it a problem with my memory card (which has never been out of the phone)? or is it a software issue?
Since i have more than ~100 pics onto my sd-card, sometimes i get wrong preview pics! The names of the files are allright, but the preview pics not! Not all, but some!Formating the sd-card does not help!
I updated my Nokia N8 to Belle this week, at first I hated it but i am growing to like it, until today.
When I connect my phone to my laptop with the USB cable I cannot see the pictures in Windows Explorer, the folder where they should be is just blank, this is very fustrating as it means I cannot cut and paste photos off my phone, i can only copy them via the import function.
I have had my N8 for a long time now and never had this problem. Also, it keeps saving the images as 001, 002, 003 etc, even though I select in options to save as date.
I do not want to have to do a hard reset and loose everything and have to install it all again which i had to do when i updated to Belle.
i currently bought a 16gb class4 microsd, after i transfered all my files from mass memory to my microsd my gallery only displays the pre installed belle walpapers.
i have a N900 and i cant share muy docs and pics with the bluetooth.. but i can recive the data from another phone.... what can i do ?? it a problem with the software ? why i cant send the data but i can recive ?
I've been viewing low light shots taken by Lumia 920 from different websites. I'm viewing them at 100% view and I don't see any hot pixels. However, mine is producing tons of hotpixels. My setting is ISO 100 and Night and on a diy tripod mount.
As the title says all my images and videos are now no longer within the captured folder when you go into photo's, I have tried deleting all of the _PAlbTN folders, also factory reset the device, still nothing there, any ideas on what I can do to get these back in the captured folder?Otherwise it seems a pointless feature if every firmware update you lose all the data captured over the months since the last update, I have also tried copying all in the camera album over to the PC and put back onto the phone mass memory. It's doing my head in now, I have trawled the forums to find information but nothing. I have a lot of other items on my mass memory which I have accumilated from over the years and transferred to each new phone I get, got something in the region of 2500 images and videos, on the mass memory stored in the traditional way, where E is the mass memory etc: E:Images200610200610A0 Instead of the new way i.e. E:ImagesCamera200910200910A0
Do the files (images and videos) get assigned new tags to allow it to identify them as being taken on the device, my viewby month folder is also not working.
