Lumia 1020 :: How To Transfer Post Processed Pics Back To Phone
Oct 21, 2013
I have just done some Post Processing Pics via Lightroom 4. I tried to transfer back the pics back to the phone via UBS cable, the phone registered the transfer as successful but I am able to open / even locate when I using the phone. The folders under Pics, Saved Pics all showed up empty without the Post Processed Pics.
Will like to check what are the photo-editing programs (free to download from the net) that you will recommend if you will like to do some post-processing of the full size image at 38MP via desktop/laptop.
I recently went and got the Nokia 1020 phone for the camera. I was really disappointed when I realized the pics that were viewed on the phone where only 5mp pics and that you had to hook it up to a computer to view the hi-res pics. Well I accidentally discovered a way to view the hi-res pics on the phone though you do still need to hook up to a pc. I was going to cut and paste the hi-res files to my pics folder when my hand slipped or had a spasm or something but whatever happened the next thing I know it was copying the pics back to the same folder on the phone. All the images said hi-res copy were you could see a preview like you can the low res images. So to verify I opened the camera roll on the phone and there they are both the low-res and hi-res of each pic. Well now if only we could do this without hooking up to a PC at all.
I dont find a way to transfer video files from Lumia 1020 to PC or to anywere else.
I shot video with an app named Video Camera Pro - it puts the files in some hidden forder , not in camera roll. The app says that the way to upload the files is by wi-fi and they provide a link to download a server software but its broken.
I recently got an LG V10 (I know, I know, I hated giving up Windows Phone but I had to), and the ATT store was unable to transfer my SIM contacts to my new phone. The SIM from my 1020 was larger than the SIM for the V10, and apparently it's not possible for them to use their software to transfer SIM contacts off of Windows phone because of software restrictions.
I'd really like to get my contacts from my old SIM card transferred to my new phone but I can't figure out how to do it. I connected my 1020 to my computer but I can't find the SIM contacts anywhere in the file directory.
Strange bug after Nokia Camera update. All the pictures I took in the weekend seemingly disappeared from my Camera roll album. However, when I connected my phone to the PC, they all showed up on the phone's HD.
How can you add the 34 or 38 megapixel photos back to the phone from PC and have the phone detect them? When I copied a few shots back to camera roll it did not show up on the phone.
I tried using the detect photos option in Nokia Camera setting but still nothing. The photo is copied correctly when in file explorer on PC but does not show up on the phone.
I wanted to copy it back to use it in a photo app on the phone. How to do this?
My Lumia 1020 screen went black earlier and the phone switched off. It won't switch back on and soft resets are having no effect. The Windows light isn't coming on when I connect it to the charger or a computer.
The phone was charging and in use when it switched off. I've had some problems with it recently (mainly it freezing and needing a soft restart) but nothing like this.
I use the daily calendar page to record vehicle usage. business activities, invoiceable information and a host of other items and have done since I purchased my first Lumia 920 when they first came out in Australia. I invoice on a monthly basis and by necessity at times need to refer back to information sometimes months old. Yesterday I tried to retrieve information from early September and everything prior to the 19th of that month is gone. I am lost without this information. I am not teenage savvy on the idiosyncrasies of smart phones but I would have thought that if the availability of an option to record past events in calendar existed then those entries would have been sacrosanct, subject only to loss with the loss or damage of the handpiece and even then I thought they saved to the cloud. I've searched the forum as best I know how and haven't found an answer to the problem or any indication of how to retrieve the information.
Yesterday I upgraded my phone from a Lumia 720 to a 1020 and everything is ok except it wont display pics/photos on Facebook or 6tag. Which is very annoying as this phone is meant to be the flagship phone and it cant or wont display pics.
I have a new 1020 camera, latest 8.1 developer preview, but can't generate DNG pics. With DNG setting, only small JPG is produced. How to confirm working DNG capability with OS 8.10.12393.890? If so, what are your firmware and hardware revision numbers?
I've been "practicing" a bit taking pics in random enviorement and I noticed every pic I take in low light is blurry. I cant set focus manually cause the screen is almost black, the pics come out nice except theyre blurry. I dont have alzheimers so my hand dont shake and I tried many settings. How to make them okayish ?
Lost my phone recently and now have a replacement. Kids are texting me pics of my grandchildren which I am unable to download. The latest text I got reads "Get media content now (174KB)" which is underlined as a link. I tap on the words and then get a message "Getting media content (174KB)". It shows that for a minute or two and then goes back to the first message. Is there something in the "settings" that is causing this problem?
Has anybody opened the camera app in their iPhone 4? I know this signal issue is causing a stir, but im very curious to see real pics taken with the new phone, are they better looking than the competition?
And, if anyone has taken some pics of the phone with Digital cameras in macro mode that would be nice to see, i always do photo-shoots of my new tech
I just tried the sync to cloud thing, and now I have my entire 9000 plus library on my phone! I don't want all the photos on my mac on my phone. I just want to download a few pics from my phone to my computer.
My work have decided to renew our mobile contracts and rather than a 1020 I have to use a Galaxy S5. Ordinarily it wouldn't bother me but I have a lot of SMS on the phone since the 1020 first released.
So onto my question is there anyway I can transfer all of my SMS messages from the 1020 over to Android. My 1020 is staying with me as it's surplus to requirements and with it being a 64gb edition I'd like to use it as my personal phone.
I had a L920 before this, performed the back up of the old phone and such. When I first turned on my L1020, I skipped the full back up process as I did not have Wifi available to download all the apps and etc. My contacts however, were all there on the initial set up. After I got home later in the afternoon, I reset my L1020 and restarted the process to get the full back up from the original L920. All my apps, messages and even Facebook contacts got added back on. However, I have no contacts in terms of phone numbers and such. I still have those details on my L920. Is there any way of getting the contacts on L1020 besides manual??
Before the lollipop upgrade I was able to plug my lg3 into my windows8 computer using the USB power cord and easily transfer files (pictures). after upgrade, computer won't recognize the phone. is it possible to roll back to kitkat so I can transfer?
I'm having quite a strange problem with my Nokia Lumia 1020. It all began with the gmail app that stopped syncronizing with the server. After an ordinary reboot I got a message that the device was restored after an error and then it started loading all the old mails back by dozens, as if they were all unread (which was not the case). Ok, after all the mailing app was in order again.
But soon after that I received an sms and realized that all the other messages were completely gone. Including the whole previous chat with the person who texted me.
Same thing for Whatsapp - no messages visible, no saved pictures. Just the call history.
After all I went on to check the Camera Roll - nothing left there either. But all the pictures are still visible when I sync the phone with the computer via USB.
So, after many attempts at soft-resetting, checking for updates etc, here's where I am:
- No photos visible in the Camera roll or trough any app (Camera, Instagram, photoeditors)
- All SMS are gone
- All Whatsapp contents is gone, too
- Everything else is fine. Call history, contacts, Facebook, mail apps, Microsoft and Gmail accounts syncronization.
I've downloaded the windows recovery toolkit. It'll let me download the firmware (1.6gb roughly) but then it tells me that it can't find my phone after it finishes the download.
I made the mistake of putting the tech preview on my main driver and my battery is dying ridiculously fast (among other instabilities)...
I connected my Nokia 1020 to my desktop (windows 10) and I deleted the low resolution photos from my Camera Roll. Then...all the remaining high resolution photos disappeared. Is there any solution to get them back?
I recently noticed an issue with my Lumia 1020. Not sure if the 8.1 preview caused the problem or not, but anytime I have the Camera Grip attached, the file transfers through usb locks up in Windows. The minute I take the grip off it functions properly again.
Why this is happening? It's rather inconvenient to take off the grip every time I want to connect to my PC.
Used a File app to make up some photo albums for tt and Le Mans classic and in doing so I have lost the ability to open up photo with Nokia camera beta and look at info or even revert back to original photo if the photo has been zoomed. How to get original photos back.
I suffer a serious bug with lumia 1020 GDR3. The sms disappear randomly and there is no way to find it back. But the case is very complicated.
Describe as below:
Day 1: i get some sms Day 2: all the sms from day 1 disappear, i get some new sms Day 3: all the sms from day 1 just come back but the sms from day 2 disappear.
I check the time setting, it is auto. and there is no way i can find back, the problem happens with all of my contact who sent me sms in 03 day.
