Yesterday I upgraded my phone from a Lumia 720 to a 1020 and everything is ok except it wont display pics/photos on Facebook or 6tag. Which is very annoying as this phone is meant to be the flagship phone and it cant or wont display pics.

I cant set focus manually cause the screen is almost black, the pics come out nice except theyre blurry. I dont have alzheimers so my hand dont shake and I tried many settings. How to make them okayish ?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI recently went and got the Nokia 1020 phone for the camera. I was really disappointed when I realized the pics that were viewed on the phone where only 5mp pics and that you had to hook it up to a computer to view the hi-res pics. Well I accidentally discovered a way to view the hi-res pics on the phone though you do still need to hook up to a pc. I was going to cut and paste the hi-res files to my pics folder when my hand slipped or had a spasm or something but whatever happened the next thing I know it was copying the pics back to the same folder on the phone. All the images said hi-res copy were you could see a preview like you can the low res images. So to verify I opened the camera roll on the phone and there they are both the low-res and hi-res of each pic. Well now if only we could do this without hooking up to a PC at all.

Lost my phone recently and now have a replacement. Kids are texting me pics of my grandchildren which I am unable to download. The latest text I got reads "Get media content now (174KB)" which is underlined as a link. I tap on the words and then get a message "Getting media content (174KB)". It shows that for a minute or two and then goes back to the first message. Is there something in the "settings" that is causing this problem?

I tried to transfer back the pics back to the phone via UBS cable, the phone registered the transfer as successful but I am able to open / even locate when I using the phone. The folders under Pics, Saved Pics all showed up empty without the Post Processed Pics.

Pictures often look very yellow on the screen, though the same pictures look more accurate when viewed on other devices. It seems to me that a phone focused on taking pictures should have a screen that has more accurate colours.

View 16 Replies View Relatedmy 1020 is experiencing many problems, first of all I must mention that the screen was changed after being broken, and then the problems started, display colours went yellowish and too bright, screen locking alone too many times when battery gets below 65%.
I have to mention that I changed the screen another times, but the problems started again after 3 days, and that sometimes the phone gets fixed sudenlly, but not for too long, the longest period was 2 days, and two more times it worked properly again for few minutes (once I unlock the lock screen, the phone gets corrupted again)
After i did a hard reset to my lumia 1020 which is on lumia black. glance screen has shifted under display+ touch. and now i cant change my night mode clock color and glance has options off,peek,timed and always on. earlier before hard reset i had interval, peek and always on.

But for some reason when a few of them accepted and became contacts I was (and still am) unable to view their display pictures and the same people can't see mines. I never had this problem with my old BB torch 9860 and I have tried everything I can think of to fix the issue like rebooting, taking battery out, backing up contacts etc but I'm still having the same problem. When shooting outdoor pics, most of the time pics are shot with a strong yellow tinge. Very rarely it takes without it.
I used rich capture mode for both, with 16MP.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm the IT person at a business that has 4 dozen older Windows Phones deployed (920/830/640). I'm currently going through a "testing" phase with myslef and 4 other senior managers having the new Lumia 950.
We like the 950's but noticed an issue that makes it a "no go" for upgrading most of the rest of our staff, and many of them need upgrades.
We are in the construction industry, and for insurance reasons we are required to take numerous photos of our work at jobsites. Currently, our dozen or so field crews take photos, and as they leave each jobsite they email those photos to our dispatcher. All our current Windows Phones will automatically scale down the photos taken to a smaller size for ease of emailing. A typical emailed image file size averages 260KB. Our field crews email in approximately 1400 photos per day to dispatch, with an average of 9 photos per email.
The problem is the new 950, at least with the default camera app, has its lowest MP setting as 8MP, and it does not scale down the images for emailing. I've tried several times, and individual emailed images are around 6MB. It only takes an email with 2 photos to choke most email servers.
I've been viewing low light shots taken by Lumia 920 from different websites. I'm viewing them at 100% view and I don't see any hot pixels. However, mine is producing tons of hotpixels. My setting is ISO 100 and Night and on a diy tripod mount.

I hit yes and says no app available and takes me back to the post. When I install the App from the app store, it's free, it appears to install, but cant access it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedLately, I've been getting a fair number of corrupted DNG files in my Lumia 1020 - I mean, I guess they're corrupted, since when I import them to Lightroom, the program states it can't open or edit them.
Curiously, the 5 mpx are fine.. When I check the size of the DNGs, I can see that they have, exactly, 1 byte less, in size, than the DNGs that Lightroom can edit.
