Aug 28, 2010I've had this phone for 2 weeks but haven't been able to find any video editing application. It's definitely listed in the specification. I've checked the menu when opening a file and there's no option to edit there either.

Jun 6, 2012How to get the video editor back? I had to do a hard reset a few weeks ago after FP1 came out as the phone wouldn't start. Nokia Suite (initially) wouldn't reflash, saying a SIM card was needed (which was in) but beta labs kindly took note of the error report and released a new Nokia Suite that did allow a reflash. This didn't reinstall the video editor however. I took my phone to a Nokia care point prior to this but they couldn't install it either.

Apr 4, 2010Does Nokia 5230 have video calling option? Before I bought it, the store told me that it's one pf those phones who doesn't have a secondary camera, but it does have video calling. Is that possible and is that the case with this phone?It's actually one of the reasons that I bought it, so I'm kind of disappointed I can't find a way to use it.
Video Call Time up to 3.0 hours.so I'd expect it does have it.
Is it important that I bought it here in Slovenia?

Beside music and pictures and GPS (and Radio) I am after one that can do some simle word processing and spreadsheets- for travel diaries and budgets etc. From reading the information I can't tell if the 5800 can do this with its limited internal memory. Can anyone tell me if it is possible of if the N97 or E72 is able to do this

Feb 26, 2010Whenever I try to write something in capital letters, the predictive text shuts down the whole messaging app! I just found this today trying to respond to my friend before I figured out what is wrong.To answer his question where I am, I tried to write"I'm in DC right now"
However, I only got to "I'm in D", as when I pressed C (I was using qwerty keyboard), the whole thing closed. It happened several times, and I could only respond once I turned predictive text off. Now, every time I try to just type in "DC" in the message with predictive text on, the whole thing shuts down!Since this is a NAM phone, it's still running old firmware (wonder why updates are only available to phones in some parts of the world and not other?). Did anyone else experience that? Does new firmware fix it? Or am I again the only unlucky one with the weirdest bug

Mar 29, 2011Had some real problems with my N8 so it's been to the Nokia Repair Shop and had a complete rebuild. Everything seemed alright apart from the Conversations feature, often when I send a text message within it, an error message of 'Feature Not Supported' but after a number of attempts it eventually sends.
That's fine for people I have sent messages to but it seems when I send a new message to a new contact just through creating a new message I get an error of 'Message Editor: Feature Not Supported' which means I can't wish my friend Happy Birthday today!!!! This happens all the time when using the New Message function. I've tried to restore to factory defaults but with no luck.

HTC One M7 :: Camera Randomly Lost Video Option
Apr 1, 2015My camera randomly lost the option to take videos recently (when I press the 4 circles in the corner of the camera screen, I only get the Camera or Selfie option, and the gallery preview square beside the shutter button has gone too). Also, after each photo, I get a tick or an arrow at the bottom, the arrow deletes the picture and lets you take another, the tick saves the picture and exits the app. Every time. This is no good if I am taking more than one picture.
I have just today upgraded to 5.0 Lollipop, and factory reset the phone, no joy in either case, but upon entering the app just once I got some funky photo booth option and another one too. Have booted it up in safe mode and the video options return, but after deleting any and all recently downloaded (since January) apps, nothing is bringing back the functionality.

Apr 3, 2015On my G3 I had the option of trimming videos which I had recorded. I can't remember if I ever had this functionality on my N5 (kitkat), but on my new N6 there's no such option. The edit option in the Photos app doesn't do anything with videos. Is this the same for everyone, and if so, what are you using to trim video footage.

I have a video made on my phone of a wedding...only ~5-10 minutes. At any rate I cannot figure out how to get it off my phone & to my PC. I copy via camera/scanner & after ~10 minutes get an error that states it could not copy .my photos work fine. I've tried to view the video via Quick Time (latest version) & it states that the .Mov file is not something Quick time understands.what's up? How can move the file from my phone to PC?

They then killed Activesync support completely later the same day (Yeah, I know... why even roll the security policy?). Even after removing the Activesync acct, the video change has not reverted. Anyone know (hopefully short of a complete reinstall) of a way to completely revert Activesync security changes?

Jul 17, 2012I was running short of space on my MicroSDHC card. I had about 1.5 gigs of storage left on the card. I went to take a video and noticed that I could only take a video in DVD quality or worse. There was no longer an option to take video in 780p or HD+ (1080p). I thought that happened because I didn't have much space left on my SD card. I later purchased a 32G Sandisk MicroSDHC. I thought that I would get back my HD and HD+ video options back after I installed the new card. This did not happen. I no longer can take HD+ video anymore. My settings in the video record mode no longer list HDor HD+. how to get the HD settings back? I tried clearing the cache and data in the camera app, but that didn't help.

Jun 2, 2011I manually pulled the gingerbread update from Systems Updates on my Droid X (stock, no root). The update was successful and today was the first day I needed to record a video using the camcorder application. I noticed that my phone defaults to DVD video quality and does not have the option for HD anymore. My wife has the same phone and we updated hers at the same time and she DOES have the HD option for the camcorder.
I have rebooted the phone as well as pulled the battery and let it sit for awhile all with no luck. Both have all the same version numbers except for PRL version, which I believeis just for roaming.

Sep 29, 2012when ever i'm trying to send msg's to more than 5 ppl and i click send it always says message editor already in use and if i press send button again it sends blank msgs to all ppl double , i have delete than msg and then go to outbox defer all msg's from sending and click on them and click send again.i tried switching off , restart ,msg editor is not open previously i doubled checked it , it just says msg editor in use while in background the msg's are just stuck in outbox u need to delete the current msg which when u clicked send said editior in use , delete it to get out from that write msg section then go to outbox click on every msg defer then send againand instead of clicking delete to get out if i click send again it send blank msg twice?

Jan 10, 2010Here I wish to post the problems I have been experiencing after I bought Nokia 5800, maybe, someone even has a magical solution for any of them.I own it since last year's November and I've spent more time re-inserting the battery and restarting it than actually using it, so I guess I sort of regret buying this smart piece of **bleep**.
So here's the list.. (any help, tips and fixes highly appreciated. Thank you!)
The video recorder often spoils the video with lags (which are file-written).An incoming call often cannot be picked up (nothing happens, it just rings. no key response)
Often the envelope symbol for new messages remains even if all messages read.The alarm clock has failed to wake me up 3 times because of the phone hanging up, and 2 more times just because of not ringing. (This is the worst part because I can't rely on this phone. What if I'm taking an important exam tomorrow? Hanging alarm clock is not an excuse, so I'm going back to the 20th century with a green-light alarm clock besides my bed, lol.)The screen rotation is so bad. I takes 5 seconds to turn the screen and often it gets confused whether to turn right or left.
If I install a new theme and set it as default (even if it's in Phone Memory), the chance of any of these bugs occuring multiplies twice.Often starting the menu or dialler pad causes the phone to hang up and nothing happens, can't even turn it off with the button. I have to reinsert the battery.The web browser often disappears without warning. A crash I guess. This **bleep** me off.The e-mail client causes problems when I set up a mailbox. What's the point of it if I can still use e-mail after uninstalling that Nokia E-mail afterwards. weird...Accessing Settings is risky, because it often hangs up and does nothing..
The media player once was unable to get rid of already deleted files. FoRtUnAtElY I found a fix (was i supposed to do that? No!).Once I couldn't access the installed application list, no matter what. Had to do a hard reset.And many more of these Sadly I knew what to expect when I was about to buy it, because I had experience with Symbian phones. In terms of reliability and satisfaction they haven't changed a bit since the first ones.

Mar 14, 2012I was trying to edit some photos by using crop function in iphone. It seems to be fine before I upgrade to 5.1.
Iphone will hang after croping about 5 photos and then the phone will reboot itself. I had tried many times and it will happen in the same photo.
If I skip editing that photo and then it will face the problem in another photo later on.
