Nokia :: N900 EMMC Loss And Difficulty Reflashing?
May 1, 2010I am an embedded engineer so fairly ok with the tech. I have had my phone three days. It has lost the 32GB of memory and is relying upon a few MB to operate the OS but not enough for effective use.Following posts on the 'net and Maemo forums, I have attempted to reflash the the phone using both: RX-51_2009SE_3.2010.02-8.203.1_PR_COMBINED_203_ARM.bin followed by:RX-51_2009SE_1.2009.41-1.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM.bin I can get the FIASCO to flash but not the EMMC; I am using flasher-3.5 on a vista PC.I get "error code 1" from the attempt to flash the EMMC.I am still not certain that the is not something electrically faulty here too.Is there some way of wiping the lot and starting again?

However, the instructions for SuperSu Beta states "If you are coming from any SuperSU install in /system, you must re-flash the stock system (and vendor and oem, if present) partition contents prior to installing this."
I was wondering if I could get some Nexus 6P specific instructions for doing that without screwing everything up. I assume this doesn't wipe my user apps.

May 1, 2010I TRIED updating my nokia 5230 by using OVI suite and during update my nokia 5230 suddenly turned off and updating stopped. I disconnected usb cable and tried to turn on the set but it wont turn on. I tried to recharge it and restart it but it also didnt work. Now its still off and I don`t know what to do anymore.

Dec 23, 2012I have a Nokia 500 with Belle installed (vers: 111.021.0028) and Nokia Suite vers 3.6.36.On the 17.12.2012 I've installed the latest version of Romania maps: 00.02.47.103 and since then I get the same error message 'car navigation cannot start at this location'. I can access the maps, I get the correct position but the problem occurs when I try to navigate to any address. It doesn't seem to have an actual issue with the location because I've tried several locations in Bucharest and got the same error.

Feb 17, 2010after i had updated my n97. most problems temporarily went away for about 1-2 weeks. now my phone cannot answer calls. cannot play music through the loud speaker. alarm does not work. basically anything that has to do with sound does not work. it shows that my phone has headphones connected but there is none connected. i formated the phone, did a hard reset, re installed the latest software and still the problem continues. after having nokias for the past 10 years. i am happy to say that i will never purchase another nokia again. nokiaz flagship phone has drove most of thier loyal customers away. the n97 is one of the worst phones ive ever had with respect to software

May 19, 2010I finally updated my E72-1 to 031.023. On the earlier version, I could not use my Mail for Exchange with my work e-mail (i.e. work server etc). it just didn't do anything after setup. In previous posts, people said after the update, it should work fine well, it doesn't. Its the same problem: After setup (with my IT guy) the MfE just doesn't load any messages. It just keeps on saying "No Messages". I have tried everything. So I have three questions:
1) When setting up the MfE, is there anything else I need to do i.e. register my work e-mail somewhere (which I did I think) or something?
2) The acces point Background: when set to "internet" it just doesn't work. It always says "Packet data not available" or "Connection not Available". The 'Internet' acces point "points" to the correct packet data set. When using the packet data set "manually", internet connects and works. Why is this so? Why can't I use my "internet" access point for connecting to the internet?
3)My third question is: For MfE, the access point is set to Internet. Could this be a problem? The only options I have is Internet, WAP services and Intranet. None of them "work".

Aug 1, 2010I have had a problem with the email not updating properly.It only seems to pull in the emails when I connect to the internet. When I first connect, I get a the email messages coming through. If I stay connected, I don't get anymore emails.It used to always alert me when I got a new email, but now nothing happens. I have checked the settings and it says that it should automatically update every 5 mins. Even if I press send/recieve and I know I have an email that should be there, nothing shows.

Jan 26, 2010I've got a 5800xm on T-mobile in the UK which had software version 21.0.025. Checked for updates on the phone and had the 'no updates available' message. Went onto Ovi Suite, did a backup of my phone, then updated the software to version 31.0.101 which should be compatable with Ovi/Nokia maps 3.3 (with FREE navigation). After several attempt to download and install the new map software (through Ovi store on the handset, Ovi.com, and Ovi Suite) I finally managed to get the 'installation complete' message
I don't get the dashboard when I first start Ovi maps each time, which is supposed to show that it is indeed the new version that you're running. Now when I start to plan a route, I get the first turn voice command, then my phone shows 'updating' then proceeds to ask me for money! If I go into options - about (on maps), I'm supposedly running v31.01 09wk26. If I go into settings - application manager - installed application, Ovi maps shows version 3.03(246) being installed. Tonight I connected the 5800 to my PC to download some maps using maploader, and Ovi Suite came up with an option to install Maps v3

May 17, 2010My PC and phone are paired via Bluetooth (I can see the phone in the device section on Win 7). However, when trying to connect via BT in Ovi suite I get the message "Device not found". I have tried reinstalling Ovi Suite, updating Ovi Suite to the last version, unpairing the phone and PC... Windows 7 has no trouble finding and pairing it but Ovi Suite just doesn't find it....

Jan 6, 2010having the weirdest issue in my N97 since updating my firmware to v20. When i click on Menu and then 'Photos', Menu disappears and im going back to the Home screen (idle), of course tried switching off and on, removing the battery, nothing helps. Then i found out that 'Photos' can only be opened in horizonal mode (opening the keyboard). In horizonal mode i can click Menu and then Photos, the 'Photos' is opened perfectly. (switching back to vertical seems ok, Photos stays open)

May 20, 2012Most of my MP3s vary a lot in volume so I discovered a program called MP3Gain to alter the playback levels so that they are more uniform. The only problem is that the Zune Software does not seem to recognise that the MP3 files have been altered in any way and therefore refuses to update my Lumia with the new, MP3Gained files! Is there any quick way to just update all the songs on my phone with the edited files automatically or do I have to delete all the songs and upload them manually?
