I had to do a hard reset to my nokia X6 today and before i did i backed up the phone using content copier. After the restore, i tried several times to restore my contacts and messages back but keeps failing? Worst case senario is there anyway to get the contact info out of the .nbu file?

Luckily, I have a friend's battery until my replacement phone arrives tomorrow, but there's no way for me to transfer my contacts over. Is there any way, short of taking down each contact by hand, that I can back up my contacts?

I have a Nokia E71, and i was using Nokia PC Suite to sync it with my outlook 2007 it all worked fine, contacts, to do notes and calendar (i wasn't syncing mail cuase i use gmail), untill the new ovi suite came out and i decided to try it since It sounded better.turns out It really sucked this ovi suite!! one of the worst softwares I've ever used, it duplicated all of the appointments that had color categories in outlook 2007, it is dead slow to sync!!!(i mean reeeaaly slow), even tough the Suite integrates more stuff in to one place it has reduced funcionality to sync stuff with my phone, it offers less funtions, not to mention that the user interface sukcs (its poorly desingned, it takes long to accses stuff, it shows me stuff as if it was advertisement).PC suite was very simple but funcional, oviously i went back to pc suite, to my surprise i couldn't sync, pc suite & the phone would do as if they were syncing, but when i checked at the end it wouldn't sync stuff.

That's where I thought Ovi Suite came into the picture but I'm having some problems:When sending SMS from Ovi Suite: I enter name of the contact the name appears with a preview of the phone number in the format "070-783XXXX", when I try to send it says invalid format so I need to enter the number manually in the format "070783XXXX" to be able to send the SMSWhen I update a contact in Outlook, the contact is updated in phone, but not in Ovi SuiteWhen I use outlook number formats (specifying country, area code etc) the number appears as "+46 (070) 783XXXX", but then number recognition doesn't seem to work on incoming calls. What I want to accomplish and wonder if it is at all possible is:Manage my contacts, calendar and mail in Outlook. Sync through MfEReach my contacts from Ovi Suite to be able to send SMS to themUse Ovi Suite to manage Map files, Music, and other phone files.Use Ovi Suite to Sync Notes from Outlook.I'm I on the right track here? In general, synchronizing contacts between ovi suite and ovi.com is taking ages.
I think reliabiliy and speed of this feature still needs A LOT of improvement...
(Although that applies to some other features as well... for example bluetooth connection, which is completely useless for me: /t5/Nokia-Ovi-Suite/bluetooth-sync-extremely-slow/m-p/656359)
I have a N97 with latest firmware. Does anybody know how to sync contacts group with Ovi PC suite or Ovi.com? I go to the option in (Menu/Settings/Connectivity/Data transfer/Sync/), then edit profile. But don't know how to define the database of contacts group.

Whet I startup the program the first message I get is "Operation failed - Unable to read tracks" (the audio tracks from the phone). The software can read and edit contacts in the phone as well as work with messages, but it won't sync either. The error code I get is 83940004. Both Ovi software and phone's firmware a up to date and everything works fine with PC Suite.Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this?

With this it is possible to synchronize messages, music and pictures. I had Nokia e52 which is dead now and I have backed up its contacts via nokia ovi online , and since it is no available anymore online, I had to download the zip file of my contacts from nokia ovi online which contains csv file . I have nokia phone (n70)( I know its old!) but what I want is simple ; I want to restore my contacts , how to do it via nokia ovi suite !

what I liked most of Nokia PC suite was the possibility to export contacts in a .csv file.This was usefull to transfer contacts from a Nokia phone to another Nokia phone.For example I copied my N82 contact list to my Nokia5000 easily using a .csv export.How can I export my contact list in a .csv file using the new Nokia Ovi Suite !? (I've installed the lastest version).

When I go in to Tools > Options then select Contacts and select Microsoft Outlook, Ovi Suite crashes. There is the first Nokia phone so there has been no other Nokia software installed on this PC before.
I am unable to use Ovi suite as my nokia 5230 won't be recognised.I have deleted the Ovi suite twice and have even tried it on my other computer and it is still not being recognised.I have a new nokia data cable CA-101, but as soon as I connect it I get USB device not recognised.

When I try syncing my Photos, I check on my device and click "All", and it says "You have no photos in this folder in device"...however I have indeed a large no. of images,but none of them are viewable. When I try to use Ovi Suite's own software updating feature, it can't download the update completely but after 16M/16M informs me about server/firewall problems. I alternatively tried to use my web browser with star downloader and after downloading everything it tries to catch file info from Nokia but then the connection is dropped. I had the same problem with PC Suite, so problem is probably how my computer and Nokia support site discuss together. But is the solution (as Nokia support QA suggest) to drop your virus software and firewall down. For me that sounds quite strange. Any help?
