When i connect my N73 connected with usb the phone shows up with C: and the SD card partition.Connecting my new E72 makes only the sd card partition show up, i need to delete the thumbnail cache on the phone itself as it's corrupt (broken thumbnails, system error when deleting them..), how do i access the phone system partition from my computer?

View 1 Replies View RelatedThis is bizarre, everything was fine until this morning, not sure what's going on but the phone still comes up in Windows 8 file explorer, however as soon as I click the Internal Storage directory, file explorer stalls as the green progress bar slowly crawls along and eventually times out.
The phone says it's in MTP mode.
I looked at the driver supporting this phone for Windows 8 and it says it's from 2006. I found a link for installing thhe Google USB driver but there is no instructions for installing it in Windows 8, the phone not connecting to the computer in MTP mode which isn't an issue for me.
Rebooted the phone and tried again, no luck.
Why is there no File no standardized file manager or explorer concept where you can manage your data on your Micro SD card. Select lots of files and move them into a folder. Rotate mulitple pictures and email mulitiple file easily? Why is this not standardized on all blackberrys

This works very good, except that even though I have ES set to keep the connection open upon exit, the connection fails if I exit ES. The icon on the home screen actually shows connected, but it isn't until I launch ES again. I reinstalled the app but it won't do it.

During IE usage the battery drains extremely fast.
After 15 minutes it is very hot - I'm worried that a longer usage may do some harm to the phone due to the very hot temperature...
The back of the phone and the screen is getting very hot - I do not have the drain problem while not using the phone - it is cold while idle!
But I did notice, that other applications do also heat up the phone, but not as much as IE...

In preparation for a potential factory reset, see post on TouchWiz, I wanted to copy off my files from the phone to my desktop. I can see the files I want using "My Files" on the phone, but when I use Windows Explorer (Win10) with the phone connected over USB, the folders are empty. I've never had trouble finding files before but I add this is the first time I'm trying with Windows 10.

I have more than 2000 songs on the phone and would like to be able to make several playlists the easy way. Inside the playlist folder I can find no way to make, edit or add songs to a playlist. I would hate to have to put all my music into iTunes again and then sync and transfer it to the phone. Likewise, I would hate to try to use Windows Media Player and sync and transfer that to the Windows 8 phone.

I can transfer them to a temp folder on my PC, then move them to the card. But, can't do it directly from phone to card as I used to be able to.
It still works fine on Win7.
I've had this problem for a day or so now. I connect my lumia 920 to my PC (Windows 7 ultimate x64) the phone makes a connection sound and it shows up under My Computer. However when I go to browse the files on the 920 it is just empty. Also when I try and use the WindowsPhone app it boots up on the welcome screen as if it's the first time I'm connecting it and does nothing when I press the continue button...
This hasn't always been the case as I was able to browse the files and use the WindowsPhone app for over a week without trouble previously.What I have tried so far:>Restarting my phone.>Reinstalling the WindowsPhone app.>Repairing and reinstalling .NET 4.5 and updating it.>Turning my firewall off>Connecting it to another USB port. >Connecting it to my other computer. >Hard resting my phone. WindowsPhone app thinks its the first time and wont let me press continue and the device is just empty under My Computer.The phone works fine otherwise, all my music and stuff is on it from the first sync and I have 0 problems besides this!
I got my Nokia Lumia 800 about 8 weeks ago and everything was working fine until I did an update on my phone when it told me updates were available. I plugged it in and continued with the update. Ever since I have been unable to access any Internet pages on my phone.It still works because it shows how many e-mails I have on my e-mail tab, but no pages will open whatsoever. I try opening Internet Explorer and it makes the swipe action as if it's about to open, but then it doesn't. Same for the e-mails, won't open them, and it won't open the App market, et cetera.I tried resetting my phone and still nothing, is there anything I can do?
