When i connect my N73 connected with usb the phone shows up with C: and the SD card partition.Connecting my new E72 makes only the sd card partition show up, i need to delete the thumbnail cache on the phone itself as it's corrupt (broken thumbnails, system error when deleting them..), how do i access the phone system partition from my computer?
Cannot find in the shop a media player (to listen/fast forward/rewind downloaded podcasts) or file explorer (to delete podcast files after listening) to emulate functionality provided in WfM6.5. Do they exist?
This is bizarre, everything was fine until this morning, not sure what's going on but the phone still comes up in Windows 8 file explorer, however as soon as I click the Internal Storage directory, file explorer stalls as the green progress bar slowly crawls along and eventually times out.
The phone says it's in MTP mode.
I looked at the driver supporting this phone for Windows 8 and it says it's from 2006. I found a link for installing thhe Google USB driver but there is no instructions for installing it in Windows 8, the phone not connecting to the computer in MTP mode which isn't an issue for me.
Why is there no File no standardized file manager or explorer concept where you can manage your data on your Micro SD card. Select lots of files and move them into a folder. Rotate mulitple pictures and email mulitiple file easily? Why is this not standardized on all blackberrys
is there is blackberry file phone explorer out there so that you can check all files/folders on your phone from your computer? not jsut talking about seeing the stuff on your micro sd.. but the system files and such.. i thought there was one but might have been mistaken.
I have a link set up on my PC that uses the Remote Manager on ES File Explorer to access the files on the phone. This works very good, except that even though I have ES set to keep the connection open upon exit, the connection fails if I exit ES. The icon on the home screen actually shows connected, but it isn't until I launch ES again. I reinstalled the app but it won't do it.
When connecting my BB 9700 to my Windows 7 PC via USB I used to be able to select the option on the 9700 of using it as a Mass Storage Device and then navigate it on my Windows 7 PC.Now, for some strange reason, even after agreeing to use it as a Mass Storage Device, it doesn't show within Windows 7 Explorer.
In preparation for a potential factory reset, see post on TouchWiz, I wanted to copy off my files from the phone to my desktop. I can see the files I want using "My Files" on the phone, but when I use Windows Explorer (Win10) with the phone connected over USB, the folders are empty. I've never had trouble finding files before but I add this is the first time I'm trying with Windows 10.
Having owned several iPhones, iPods, and numerous mp3 players, I am still unable to create or edit a playlist in Windows Explorer on my Lumia 1020. I have more than 2000 songs on the phone and would like to be able to make several playlists the easy way. Inside the playlist folder I can find no way to make, edit or add songs to a playlist. I would hate to have to put all my music into iTunes again and then sync and transfer it to the phone. Likewise, I would hate to try to use Windows Media Player and sync and transfer that to the Windows 8 phone.
I've had this problem for a day or so now. I connect my lumia 920 to my PC (Windows 7 ultimate x64) the phone makes a connection sound and it shows up under My Computer. However when I go to browse the files on the 920 it is just empty. Also when I try and use the WindowsPhone app it boots up on the welcome screen as if it's the first time I'm connecting it and does nothing when I press the continue button...
This hasn't always been the case as I was able to browse the files and use the WindowsPhone app for over a week without trouble previously. What I have tried so far:>Restarting my phone.>Reinstalling the WindowsPhone app.>Repairing and reinstalling .NET 4.5 and updating it.>Turning my firewall off>Connecting it to another USB port. >Connecting it to my other computer. >Hard resting my phone. (This left me stuck on the cog wheels for hours and I had to flash my phone to fix this)>And maybe more things that I can't remember at the moment.Interestingly when I had to hard reset it and wipe everything off the phone it worked fine, the app let the phone sync my music etc, I thought it had been fixed. BUT the second time I went to sync my phone the same problem happened! WindowsPhone app thinks its the first time and wont let me press continue and the device is just empty under My Computer. The phone works fine otherwise, all my music and stuff is on it from the first sync and I have 0 problems besides this!
I got my Nokia Lumia 800 about 8 weeks ago and everything was working fine until I did an update on my phone when it told me updates were available. I plugged it in and continued with the update. Ever since I have been unable to access any Internet pages on my phone. It still works because it shows how many e-mails I have on my e-mail tab, but no pages will open whatsoever. I try opening Internet Explorer and it makes the swipe action as if it's about to open, but then it doesn't. Same for the e-mails, won't open them, and it won't open the App market, et cetera.I tried resetting my phone and still nothing, is there anything I can do?
Took a nice 45-minute video on Xmas day with my 950. It uploaded to the PC but I can't put it on removable media. It's 5.8GB, too big for a DVD. Tried to transfer it to a new 16GB USB thumb drive but I get a "file too big" error on the PC. Tried another blank thumb drive; same thing. PC is running the latest version of Win 10. I'm stumped.
"Nokia application explorer" is inadequate, will not let me remove apps thru PC suite. Also tried looking around OVI, no mention of an app manager in there, I don't want to go poking around deleting files in the phone, is there no other way doing this?
I have a Nokia lumia 610. And I can't download anything using the internet explorer . If tried to download it just plays it directly and neither saves it. What's the problem ??And the things downloaded using any 3rd party is not shown in the music or video library.
I've bought a lumia 710 a month a go, and i'm pretty happy with it, but i have a question: why there is no way to close the internet Explorer app with a single touch? The only way to close de app is by pushing the back button, but this is really anoying if you have went trough a lot of pages..
I do have the c2 03, and i am realy suffring asit dsnt have so many features which is availablein a general fon. It dnt have any good things atall. I UPDATED MY NOKIA BROWSER, BUT NOWIT IS SHOWING CONFLICTING SOFTWARE, ANDNOT STARTING AT ALL
I'm using a Nokia Lumia 610 handset. After I browse a lot, when I have to close IE, I need to click the "back" key many times to go to first page I visited. Only then the browser closes. Is there a faster way to close the browser ?
I still face a problem that when I buy mobile then phone memory was 40MB, but now it reduced to 30MB. I try to browse and remove unwanted file from phone memory. But nothing gonna happen. I also use pc suite, mass storage etc, but can't. What can I do now?
How can I share a PDF file that is stored in my Phone? The existing Adobe has no Share functionality and it is literally impossible to attach a pdf file stored in the phone while composing a mail. I urge Nokia team to come up with an app as Adobe seems to be least bothered about Win Phone.
In Internet Explorer, I tried to attach and send a file from my Lumia 800. But, after clicking the browse button for attaching file, there is no response. Is this the case with all or this could be resolved?
On my N8 (Anna), I can see all the photos taken with the phone in the default photo viewer. But under Window Explorer, some can be seen but many are missing. So where are they?
