Nokia Nseries :: Bug In 808 3g Mobile Data?
Jun 17, 2012I think there is a bug in 808 3g mobile data connection which causes the phone to turn off. It happened when you are in zero or weak connection. There is no problem if I turn mobile data off or use WiFi only. This is annoying especially if you use always on Whatsapp.

Mar 19, 2012The browser on my Nokia 701 is great -certainly much better than past versions- but websites 'see' it as a full size browser and so deliver it full size web pages. I have found this leads to much dragging and zooming. If the site also has pop-ups (which can fully obscure the screen!) this can lead to misclicks, impossible to navigate sites etc. Also full size webpages are slow to load and more expensive on data.
This issue has led me to either manually navigating to the mobile versions of the websites I like (bit of a pain) or to simply use the Opera Mini browser instead. The Opera browser is free and websites 'recognise' it as a mobile browser. This means without any work when I surf I instantly get the mobile version of the website I want (assuming one exists), easy to navigate and fast (and so cheaper) to load. In many cases this works much better for me.
So I think Nokia have missed a trick here. Maybe they should offer a feature whereby the user can tell their browser to find either mobile-friendly pages or normal ones. They could even add in a second browser shortcut, one which launches the Nokia browser in a 'mobile' mode.
Now running a 701, beautiful phone to handle and use...now that it has stopped sending my personal information to Nokia via 360Panel [rolls eyes]

Nokia Nseries :: N97 Cannot Change Default Browser To Opera Mobile
Oct 8, 2010I changed the Default applications | Browsing internet setting from Web to Opera Mini. This does not seem to affect anything. Unless I actually start Opera Mobile, any application that has a URL link will start the default N97 browser instead of Opera Mobile.
Is there something else I need to do in order to change the default browser on the N97?

Mar 22, 2012I have a bare bones pay-as-you-go plan. All I get are free unlimited texts and free unlimited calls (within the country). I get no data and, frankly, I don't care for data. I do get annoyed that every so often while playing Angry Birds or using Nokia Maps or any of a number of other applications I will get the "Mobile Data Not Available" notice. How can I disable this notice? It is tiring and I KNOW I don't have Mobile Data.

I had original Nokia in my hand and I compered few things and this phone is little different.
I have a feeling that display has less colours that the other one. It starts with different tone then original one. In the right up corner has got bigger battery sign and when you charge it the lines which indicates charging process moves very quickly. It is not just that I have noticed that quality of camera is not that good. All icons are on the right place but it looks like there is a old soft in it. I have check soft. version V 10.0.021 22-08-09 RM-320 Nokia N95 8GB(12.01)
When I open and take battery off I can see sticker of Nokia. It says Type RM-84 which is different the from the display. Then IMEI - long number

I have tried to use number 039650 because it looks the most similar to product code but your web site says:

I have tried to paste number with A in front of it as it is on the sticker on the phone and I got following:
