My n8 can found Wlan as usual but can't connect to any WLan even 3G after I clear the RAM by "NetQin Mobile Security 5.0" from nokia store.
View 2 RepliesA few weeks ago, I had a problem with WLAN on my phone Nokia E71; I was using the application ESET Mobile Security, and when i delete this application, the WLAN don´t work. Now, I reinstalled this application and WLAN is working fine. I recommend be carefull with this antivirus.
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy N8 keeps connecting to OVI Store via WAP when WLAN available. Not only is WLAN available, it is connected and #1 in the list - checked via Connection Manager.
The Browser etc. has no problem - uses WLAN as expected. I can't find anywhere to set the OVI Store access priorities - I assume it's supposed to use Connection Manager?
I have just updated to Nokia Belle and I am having a few issues with Nokia Store (as are a number of other people by the looks of it).
Although I have correctly set up my access points (the update wiped them) and have selected my wifi as the access point with the highest priority, Nokia Store is refusing to connect via WLAN and is giving the warning "mobile data off - no connections made" (this is with mobile data turned off and Wifi on), clearly there is something that is preventing the app using this access point and is sticking to Mobile data only. I have re-installed the program to no avail.
I can still access Nokia Store via my O2 wap access point (priority 2) however as some of the apps I will need to reinstall are quite large I want to do this via Wifi.My browser works correctly through Wifi as does Ovi music. I have tried setting the browser to ask which access point I want to use, however to no avail.Out of interest the other programs that I have noticed do not work like Nokia Store (Mobile data turned off and Wifi turned on) are Shazaam and Weather. Not sure if there is a link.
Models having the problem: Nokia E71, E72 Basically, Ovi Store keeps on Loading for sometime then gives me an error of "Unable to connect to Server". This only happens whenever i choose a WLAN connection. However it works fine on packet data connection.I was able to resolve this on my E71 with a workaround, by editing the access point information, and changing the data carrier of my WLAN to Packet data so my phone sees my WLAN as a packet data connection. I tried doing the same on my E72, but it didnt allow me to change the data carrier field.This problem prevents me from enjoying Ovi Store, because Packet data connectivity is more expensive than WLAN here in Saudi Arabia.it seems that many are experiencing the same problem and Many are suggesting to reset and format the phone or re-installing ovi store, but I will not be doing trial and error on my phone which can result in losing valuable data.it seems that Nokia has not provided a cure for this, and I am seriously looking into leaving Nokia for good, till they come up with more reliable and creative phones and services.It seems that Competition has blinded nokia about Quality which me and many others are missing lately.

1. my mobile crashes when i use internet and ovi store and playing games. i updated to 010.032 but problem is still there and also i didnt recieved office and pdf apps in upd

2. i want to clean c drive (100 mb other files).
3. is there any app available through which i can easily switch between gprs/edge and wlan. i try to use wlan but nokia browser and opera mini starts using gprs/edge.
4. battery drains quickly. i dont use any app running behind.i close all apps using "long press menu button and kill the apps" method. still battery lasts for only 3 hours of internet and 1 hour gaming and 5 hours of stand by with everything closed.
I bought my mom a E63. When I se it up, everything worked perfectly. It would find my router at home and conect to it, it would find wireless hotspots everywhere and connect to them etc... Now, all of the sudden, it will not find anything anymore. Even if I am standing in front of my router, it will say "No WLAN network found".
I just updated her phone to the newest firmware and reset everything to factory defaults, and the phone still refuses to find any WLAN's. I went into the menu and made sure that it does show WLAN availability etc...
I have version 3.01 installed on my X6, it tells me my licence will expire in 17 days. If I do a check for update from the app, I get a message saying WLAN network not found, error code 30180, whether I'm connected to WLAN or not. I've checked for an update in OVI & the only option I get is to launch, not download, does this mean I'm up to date anyway?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using Nokia 5530 XpressMusic Phone for some months. The problem started a month ago when I tried to connect to my WLAN router. There is a security key on my router but when I connect through my Nokia Phone, it doesn't ask for any key (with my Laptop, I can connect to the WLAN with the preshared key). It simply connects to the router without they key and when I start browsing, it says "No Gateway Reply". Thinking this might be the settings problem I soft reset my phone but still the problem remains. The point is, it only does this with my own router. Anyone know how to sort this out?

how to use WLan on my Nokia N97 Mini. I was able to detect the free Wi-fi connection in a mall. But after connecting i was unable to access any sites as it gave error: invalid server name. Ive tried at Mumbai Airport as well, but still the same error. I tried many different site but still the same error. Also sometime when i try some sites after connecting to WLAN, it prompts to connect via GPRS which should not be the case I believe. Both GPRS and WLAN are different. How do I access Internet via W-fi and not with the GPRS.

One second I could go to a webpage and then the next it would say WLAN not found. Keep in mind this was literally 10cm from the wireless router.Now at work I tried connecting to the WLAN after following a very comprehensive guide put together by our IT department with all the required details. I also downloaded the required certificate and opened it (selecting all 3 of the options that come up, whatever they were).Another person at work has the E65 and they connected fine. I have attached the settings I used in case you can spot something wrong.
