Dec 19, 2010After taking a photo my N8 screen has simply frozen. Nothing when I touch the screen, I cant even reboot it.

Mar 27, 2011my n8 frozen yesterday and i have turned it off and on about 100 times to try and get it to work and i have reset the factory settings the phone is frozen it wont do anything wont let me read my message send message get into settings anything everytime i restart the phone it does the same thing the time on the phone stays the same

Dec 24, 2012I purchased the Nokia Lumia 920 just under a month ago, a few times it's blacked out and i've done a reset (hold volume button and power button down) and it's worked, this time however when I done that reset the screen is not working, the side buttons are working but the touch screen is not working at all, I've tried reseting it multiple times, with holding both volume buttons with the power button and holding down one or the other the with power button and camera button, I've tried removing the sim but with no resolution and I don't know what else I can do. I know chances are I will have to take it to a store but I thought I would try on here first.

Jan 1, 2013My Lumia 800 has gone crazy. This is a replacement phone for the last Lumia that I got that turned off one day and then didn't turn back on. I have had this one for only three weeks.Last night at about 9pm, before I got any New Year messages the screen of my phone changed to a multi coloured static looking screen and I couldn't do anything to fix it.I could hear messages coming through occasionally and the phone rang a few times but I was unable to answer it due to not being able to see what I was doing.I have tried doing a soft reset to no avail and I have also drained the battery til it went dead and have recharged it, but have not had any joy with it today either.This phone has not been dropped or damaged in any way, so I have no idea what is going on.

Jan 20, 2010I recently upgraded my Nokia software to OVI 2, or whatever its called. I will admit, it does look a bit better than the previous version, seems a bit nicer to use, and I like the fact that music, syncing and updating, is all now done from the same application.
Its about time I didn't have to have 3 separate applications installed for my one cellphone.
But I am having problems.
1. I use my phone to connect to the web, and within the first few minutes I was notified that OVI 2 has stopped working, and needs to close etc. I mean, I hardly used the app, and it crashes just from connecting to the web!?
2. I did a software update for my E63, and halfway through the update, OVI threw up an error and said the device was disconnected. I was nowhere near the USB cable. Thankfully, the software update must have completed, because the phone restarted, and when I checked my software version it was up to 2.00.21.
3. So, I unplugged the phone, plugged it back in to restore my contacts, etc. which worked fine, except I don't have any contacts. Why did the calender entries restore, but not the contacts? Luckily, I have all my numbers saved on my SIM anyways, so I just copied them from there.
Did I do something wrong during the backup/restore?
4. As I write this now, I thought I'd plug my phone in, and just check if I could do the restore again, but the phone no longer comes up with that selection menu allowing me to select PC Suite. I decided to restart my phone.
It has now frozen on the screen where you enter your PIN.

Jan 5, 2010Had this phone for one month. When I tried to shut it down today, it stayed on the 'nokia' screen for a few hours. I tried to forcefullly shut it off by pulling out the battery. The fone shut off. But, when I place the battery back and turn it on, it stays at the same 'nokia' screen. Tried this a few times and no help yet.Any ideas anyone? Any way to reset the phone without losing my photos,videos, voice recordings and music?

Nokia Nseries :: Black Screen On N96?
Oct 26, 2011I have a 16GB Nokia n96, and it was working completely fine till a couple weeks back the screen went blank, so i assumed it had switched itself off. I took the battery out and tried switching it back on, but the screen didn't come on. The phone vibrated once like normal on start-up, then the keypad lit up and the buttons on the slide-up bit, but nothing can be seen on the screen. I can also hear the beeps when i press different buttons, and also I could remember off by heart where my music player was on it, so i pressed the right buttons and my music actually started playing!

Jun 28, 2012I have nokia 500 with latest belle software. I have bought it and hard reset it yesterday with button combination and also with factory settings option.Now, the problem is that when i start any installation, it asks to install it. When i press ok it proceeds to neXt dialogue, either asking for permissions or asking to close an app, depending o the sis file.NOW, a moment before this dialogue, i get totally black screen for milliseconds. And then i cannot touch any button when the prompt appears. I can switch to menu and hs using hardware keys but cannot touch anything on screen. Long pressing menu key allows me to touch the screen and close apps but i can't touch anything else. I can also use power key menu to shut down mobile.Everything else is normal otherwise, i even installed many apps today successfully but now this problem occurs.
