I'm having troubles with the calendar application on my N97. When I try to run it, the screen just refreshes and that's it, the app doesn't run at all. This is the case with both homescreen shortcut and actual calendar icon in the menu. I've restarted the phone a couple of times and it didn't work.

However, just recently that list has disappeared and I can't figure out how to get it to show up again. I found it really good to have that list there for quick reference for the day and I really miss it!
View 6 Replies View RelatedExperiencing random screen refreshes on a XOOM WiFi? Recently my XOOM has started to blink, the screen will go black for 1/2 second then come back. This happens when doing anything, games, browsing, or just sitting at a home screen. The XOOM is up to date with 4.1.2. I have not done a factory reset yet and would like to avoid it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have just upgraded from a Nokia X6 to an N8. I use the calendar function a lot but have noticed that when using it it is very slow to do anything. If I create a new event it takes a few seconds after I press a key for things to happen. The X6 calendar didn't have any issues of this kind.Also, on the X6 if the calandar alarm went off and I didn't touch the phone it would keep going off every 10 minutes, the N8 calendar alarm goes off once and that's it!

It makes a new one that it syncs to and leaves the standard calendar alone..If I sync with GooSync to Google calendar, it makes also a new calendar.If I sync to Ovi Calendar, it makes several new calendars.blem?cause the only third party calendar that works for the N8 wants to use the "standard calendar"
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have recently installed the major software release for my N8 (sorry, don't know how to get the version number, but it was the one that needed to be done via a computer). I quite like all the stuff, but for the calendars something is doing my head in. Every time I set a new calendar meeting (which I use often as reminders) it defaults to use the PUBLIC calendar instaed of PRIVATE or NONE, and it defaults the reminder to go off 15 minutes before the event.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am noticing this issue from the past couple of weeks and probably after the last update. When I open the calendar Icon, the dates do not load on the phone. It just doesnt show any dates?
Also if a reminder is past, it shows a past reminder and the reminder also doesnt open up.
Whenever I do the hard re-boot i.e keep the power button pressed till it vibrates three times and shuts and re-starts, then initially the calendar shows the dates, but again after sometime if I have to open the calendar, it doesnt show the dates at all, and goes back to the same issue.
An important app for me is Handy Calendar which I use on my N8 + Anna. I won't update to Belle until I'm certain that this app will still work. Anyone with experience? I've read so many topics describing problems after updating to Belle that I will sit on the fence for a while...

Now because I'm synchronizing my main calendar on the N8 with Microsoft Exchange, the Nokia Suite Calendar sync is off. But I had other calendars on my N8 (not synchronized with Exchange) and I'd like to access my calendar entries from there. I've made frequent backups of the whole calendar entries with Nokia Suite, so I hope I can somehow at least read my calendar entries from there.

But somehow the same calendar file was added multiple times and now I have 5 duplicate calendar entries for each day.Is there a way to delete these calendar entries without deleting my old calendar entries? The .ics file was a fixture list of a club and has a lot of entries so deleting them one entry by entry is not an option.

I have been facing a regular problem since quite some time now even before I had the Belle refresh.
Whenever, I try to add an event in the Calendar or push an event from FB birthdays onto the Calendar, the event disappears after a few minutes.
After I upgraded my Tour to OS 5, the Application Center no longer refreshes - all I get is the message: An error occured while updating the application list: Error 404

But when I click on this entry, I get the message "Calendar: Memory full. Please close some applications and try again." This happens even when the phone is just restarted. There are no additional tasks in background.

I have run all updates but it still doesn't work. It's annoying because the calendar is one of my most important tools.
How do I or can I schedule a daily meeting and not have it schedule the days for the weekend? Like only on work days only Monday thru Friday. I'm using N8 with Anna. Is there a place to set the work days?
View 2 Replies View RelatedClendar widget is only 3 rows high and it display tasks on order of creation.Example: one have 3 low priority tasks created before 1 high priority task. Calendar widget will display only low priority tasks. That's stupid.You need options for task sorting or some "algorithm" for sorting that will take priority into account.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter updating to Bella N8 has synchronized with Outlook via Nokia Suite. The Calendar shows all the dates. I have two calendars. The first calendar comes with Mail For Exchange, the second from Outlook (synchronization with the Nokia Suite). Calendar Widget only shows events from the Exchange account, and newly added to the second calendar. It does not matter whether the added element: task, meeting. I can only see those that will add to the phone. Synchronized with Outlook do not appear.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Turbo has, for some reason, halted all Gmail related activity. As of this morning all was well. As of the last few hours, all is NOT well.
I no longer:
hear my chosen (or ANY) notification sound upon delivery
receive the on-screen notification via Moto Display (when screen is dark)
receive the on-screen notification in my notification bar
see the unread mail count (TeslaUnread Plugin) on the Gmail app icon
receive new email messages automatically PERIOD.
The only way I can know I have a new message in my inbox is if I open the Gmail app and click to manually refresh!
My Turbo did download and apply two app updates today: Golden Glass Icon Pack HD and Motorola Camera. I find it highly unlikely, but are one of these responsible?
I still do not know this phone I inside and out.. so any areas or settings to check (and how to check them) that you believe may be causing my Gmail Meltdown!!
I am still on Belle.In the month view of the calendar, the little triangles on the days with appointments are all blue. Why will they not show as a differe colour even when I am using multiple calendars with only one e.g. Red calendar appointment on the day?

After telling Nokia Suite to sync with my phone, it syncronised all of my media (music, photos) but my texts, contacts and calendar entries are nowhere to be found.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've tried the search but can't find my solution.Until yesterday my home screen used to show upcoming appointments on the lower half of the screen. It now shows no appointments. I've tried all the obvious things but guess I either have a real problem or am missing something.1. There are loads of current appointments in my calendar. Many on each day and the reminders for those still alarm.2. Home screen is set to shortcut 3. I don't have any apps loaded that replace the home screen 4. settings/ personal/ home screen/ home screen gives me a list of options but calendar is no longer one of them . All I now have are shortcuts, search, music player and radio.
I'm reluctant to perform a hard reset or re-flash it as it took me ages to get the internet connection working correctly and I expect a reset will mess all that up again.

it's quite stupid NOKIA had separated between the two. there should be one business-like homescreen (with emails, tasks, search-bar and apps), and another more friendly with favourite contacts and apps.Cannot understand why nokia shoot it's own leg with these stupid desicions... hope it will be fixed in the next firmware update.
After restarting my N97 due to it crashing (again), my calendar widget has disappeared from the home screen. I tried removing the widget from the home screen and adding it again, but this had no effect. I checked the actual calendar application and the to-do notes and reminders are not appearing if "month view" is selected. They do however appear when viewing the calendar in either "day view" or "week view". I use the calendar for planning my life
