How do I or can I schedule a daily meeting and not have it schedule the days for the weekend? Like only on work days only Monday thru Friday. I'm using N8 with Anna. Is there a place to set the work days?
View 2 RepliesI'm using the phone few days. I've installed latest software from the site (7.10.8773.98 / 1066.0000.8779.12340). When I'm creating some task or meeting in the calendar, I see them on desktop calendar icon (and reminders are working well) but when I open full calendar and see the day / month schedule it's absolutely empty with no meetings / tasks.

View 1 Replies View Relatedwhen I got the phone I could open the calendar in monthly view and when I clicked a day it would open in daily view, so I could see all events for that day.
What is currently happening is: when I open calendar it starts in task list view, and i can switch to monthly view, i can browse the calendars, but when I get to a day I want to view, I click it and it shows the event list view, from today, its so frustrating because I want to see details of the day I clicked, not today.
I have tried flipping all sorts of settings and the phone has been restarted since this.
I have an E-72 and use the calendar a lot. But how can I sync it with gmail-calendar?

I bought a new nokia lumia 800 last monday. I have added few songs and video through zune and i started playing those songs. I wanted to fast forward the song and move to some location in the song. I could see the player slider bar when the songs playing but i cannot use my slider to skip through to a particular location in the song or the video. I thought it could be a software issue and I updated the player but still the problem exists.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just upgraded from a Nokia X6 to an N8. I use the calendar function a lot but have noticed that when using it it is very slow to do anything. If I create a new event it takes a few seconds after I press a key for things to happen. The X6 calendar didn't have any issues of this kind.Also, on the X6 if the calandar alarm went off and I didn't touch the phone it would keep going off every 10 minutes, the N8 calendar alarm goes off once and that's it!

It makes a new one that it syncs to and leaves the standard calendar alone..If I sync with GooSync to Google calendar, it makes also a new calendar.If I sync to Ovi Calendar, it makes several new calendars.blem?cause the only third party calendar that works for the N8 wants to use the "standard calendar"
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have recently installed the major software release for my N8 (sorry, don't know how to get the version number, but it was the one that needed to be done via a computer). I quite like all the stuff, but for the calendars something is doing my head in. Every time I set a new calendar meeting (which I use often as reminders) it defaults to use the PUBLIC calendar instaed of PRIVATE or NONE, and it defaults the reminder to go off 15 minutes before the event.

This is the case with both homescreen shortcut and actual calendar icon in the menu. I've restarted the phone a couple of times and it didn't work.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am noticing this issue from the past couple of weeks and probably after the last update. When I open the calendar Icon, the dates do not load on the phone. It just doesnt show any dates?
Also if a reminder is past, it shows a past reminder and the reminder also doesnt open up.
Whenever I do the hard re-boot i.e keep the power button pressed till it vibrates three times and shuts and re-starts, then initially the calendar shows the dates, but again after sometime if I have to open the calendar, it doesnt show the dates at all, and goes back to the same issue.
An important app for me is Handy Calendar which I use on my N8 + Anna. I won't update to Belle until I'm certain that this app will still work. Anyone with experience? I've read so many topics describing problems after updating to Belle that I will sit on the fence for a while...

Now because I'm synchronizing my main calendar on the N8 with Microsoft Exchange, the Nokia Suite Calendar sync is off. But I had other calendars on my N8 (not synchronized with Exchange) and I'd like to access my calendar entries from there. I've made frequent backups of the whole calendar entries with Nokia Suite, so I hope I can somehow at least read my calendar entries from there.

But somehow the same calendar file was added multiple times and now I have 5 duplicate calendar entries for each day.Is there a way to delete these calendar entries without deleting my old calendar entries? The .ics file was a fixture list of a club and has a lot of entries so deleting them one entry by entry is not an option.

I have been facing a regular problem since quite some time now even before I had the Belle refresh.
Whenever, I try to add an event in the Calendar or push an event from FB birthdays onto the Calendar, the event disappears after a few minutes.
Can anyone help? I am/was one of the lucky N97 owners my phone was relatively stable - well anything would be if comparing it to the N96!!! However, since I upgraded the software to latest version way back in November, 2009, I find my phone memory disappears daily. I have transferred everything possible to E Mass Memory and have also backed up and reinstalled the software, but after doing yet another scan of the C Phone Memory I see that I still have 39MB Other Files - which I have no idea what they are or indeed how to get rid of them. Each day this file gets larger, and eventually it will take up all the memory on the Phone again. A problem which happened with the previous version so that it just would not work at all. The last version of software has given me more memory to use, but if I don't resolve this problem I will run out of memory again before too long.

But when I click on this entry, I get the message "Calendar: Memory full. Please close some applications and try again." This happens even when the phone is just restarted. I have run all updates but it still doesn't work. It's annoying because the calendar is one of my most important tools.
Clendar widget is only 3 rows high and it display tasks on order of creation.Example: one have 3 low priority tasks created before 1 high priority task. Calendar widget will display only low priority tasks. That's stupid.You need options for task sorting or some "algorithm" for sorting that will take priority into account.

The first calendar comes with Mail For Exchange, the second from Outlook (synchronization with the Nokia Suite). Calendar Widget only shows events from the Exchange account, and newly added to the second calendar. It does not matter whether the added element: task, meeting. I can only see those that will add to the phone. Synchronized with Outlook do not appear.

After telling Nokia Suite to sync with my phone, it syncronised all of my media (music, photos) but my texts, contacts and calendar entries are nowhere to be found.

I have tried Windows explorer as well as the Windows Desktop App. I can see my phone in explorer and I an click to open the Music folder. When I try to copy/paste to there it just hangs and then I get an error message to stop or skip copying? I am using Windows 7 SP1. This is a deal breaker if I can't get music and photos on here.

I can still hear perfectly well via it, but the volume control, stop, start of skip functions have now stopped. I'm not too sure the ability to answer the phone from it exists either. Can anyone tell me if this is due to the headset itself or if there's an option in the 5800 that I need to look at? If it's the latter I won't need to make a trip to the store.
