Dec 27, 2012is it possible that there is no icon on the screen of the 203? I can't find it although I installed maps.

Nokia Navigation :: Ovi Maps Shows A Blank Screen?
Apr 7, 2011I have the latest version of Ovi maps installed on my N8. I have downloaded and installed local area maps (Guangdong, Hong Kong and Philippines).I have checked and re-checked all the settings from other forum discussions. Everything looks orrect...BUT when I try to zoom in, it's as if I have NO maps loaded...just a pale green screen with a message 'no detailed info.....then the app crashes after 15 seconds and I'm back to the home screen!!!I wish I could delete this app completely from my phone and use Nokia maps (like I had on my N82) but it won't let me.What a heap of JUNK! biggest waste of money in my life. All my iphone 3 and 4 colleagues are laughing at my 'good fortune'.

Feb 22, 2012I've a N8 but the Nokia Maps just don't want to work properly. When I start the software, it just shows a blank green screen and the GPS light is blinking. But I can't see any maps... It did work a few days ago but now it stopped working out of the blue. I updated the maps but the problem was still there. Then I deleted the cities folder and then I tried the new Beta version of the maps. Problem is still there... The nokia server is also correctly defined.

Nokia Navigation :: While Navigation Compas Does Not Orientate
Dec 12, 2011Maps 3.08 does not let me calibrate my compass (at least not by ticking once or twice at the compass). By consequence, while navigating it does not orientate the display with the top in the forward direction. I found a workaround by using a separate compass application, calibrate the compass there, and then Maps works perfect. There must be a easier way to calibrate the compass from within the Maps application.

Aug 6, 2010Navigation used to work fine on my X6, but since having to do a hard reset of the phone (due to other problems!) I cannot use the Navigation.
Everytime I get the error 'navigation cannot start at this location' and it doesn't seem like the phone can ever pick up my location.I have tried un-installing and re-installing the application but to no-avail!I haven't even wasted my time calling Nokia Support, as they are totally useless!

Aug 22, 2012getting very frustrated with this now. I have given my dad my N95 to help him get around but just cant get the map navigation to work. I downloaded the Nokia Map Loader (I had to go to a third party website as the Nokia links were all broken) and have the map/voices but when my dad tries to use the navigation it tells him he has to pay.Obviously, I know that Nokia have now made these services free to complete with other company's devices, I'm just being stupid and not going to the right place to download them. In the settings, I have the following options (all names translated from the Polish interface, so original English names can be different) - "Email notification 1", "Email notification 2" and "Nokia Messaging email". The first two seem to refer to the default email program (not Messaging) - I cannot set any mailboxes for them ("There is no mailbox" error). "Nokia Messaging email" shows the "Set up e-mail" link on the main screen. With previous firmware and messaging I had another option "Nokia Intellisync" which triggered email list on the main screen. No such option anymore.
2. Email notifications are "on" in Messaging but when emails arrive there is only a sound. No icon (@) anywhere, no blinking.
