I bought a BB 9780 2months ago. I just realised that I do not have the navigation/map icon that should come in-built with the phone when brand new. How do I go about downloading the software/icon?

I had never seen it and then looked at my phone and I also have a white telephone icon alongside one of my missed calls.Anyone know what it indicates? I can't find reference to it in any of the booklets or by Googling. (I've also noticed that when I'm in the office it goes white).

Another problem, I want to update to OS 5.0 and I cannot clear enough of the Application memory off of the BB to do so. I got it down to where I need to clear 3MB off, and I don't have anymore Apps to Uninstall! Funny how I have 900 MB on my device memory free and 1.8 GB on the media storage, but I can't make anymore room on the Application memory partition! I just want to update the software!
My phone icon disapeared from the icon tray on home screen into the application folder. I can not figure out how to put it back on the bottom icon tray on home screen. I also just updated my phone today. Not sure if that has something to do with it.

All I have is a phone icon that is for Visual Voice Mail, which I am not signed up for and don't want to be. When I click the VVM icon it says do you want to sign up and I hit No and it just kicks me back to the main screen. How can I get rid of the Visual VM icon and get the Call log icon?

I never had this problem with my old curve 8320. I've also had this icon issue since I got my phone several months ago. The icons remain the same no matter which OS version I use. I am on T-mobile.

View 3 Replies View RelatedThe Lumia 950, as you know, does not have capacitive buttons for back, Windows, and search. As such, the navigation bar appears at the bottom of the phone. Sometimes it hides by itself, but I have not found a way, unlike the HTC One M8 for Windows, for you to hide the buttons at will. This is especially troublesome when text messaging and I think I press spacebar, when in reality I pressed the Windows key. Even more troublesome that the Messaging app is so unreliable that when I return to it the app crashes.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI know we can't remove the maps v3.08 from our phone(mine nokia c7) itself because it is not showing in apps manager.But i found out an alternate way.I have not yet tried it ,but u can see if it works and tell us about it.For this use the "Nokia PC Suite v 7.1.62.1" and not nokia ovi suite on ur pc.If u go to application manager in the pc suite it shows all the apps installed including the nokia maps 3.08 and its other files also.

I'm looking at buying the Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition Unlocked Phone and have a couple of questions.
If I don't activate the phone immediately with a service provider,
- will I still be able to have full access to the internet and email whenever a Wi-Fi network is available?
- and, will I also have full access to the GPS navigation facilities of the unit?
Does the 5800 Navigation model lack any features that are available with the 5800 XpressMusic model? The 'compare' function at the Nokia website seems to show the exact same specs for both models.
Well, is it possible to add a place to Nokia Maps?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently had my phone changed from a 6720 to a C5-00 (company phone, and the company decided to change telco and the old phones were "locked").I have managed to move my microSD card across which has kept all my pictures, maps and other files. It did not move across the saved GPS places (favourites).I have been struggling to figure out how to do this (I have even tried finding likely files in the phone's memory using a USB link to the computer) and have had no success. Nokia Suite doesn't seem to acknowledge the existence of the GPS "places" (Nokia Suite 3.3.86)
How do I move these waypoints across from one phone to the other?
