I'm getting "Saving" after taking a couple photos in a row on my Icon. At first it would shoot and shoot, now I just get a couple and then it slows. I've filled up and emptied the phone a bunch (I shoot a LOT of photos/videos).
View 3 RepliesI just received my icon the other day and coming from an iPhone 5s the web is painfully slow. Google can take a good 10 seconds to load sometimes while on the iphone is was virtually instant.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI noticed my Lumia Icon started to charge slowly in my car, battery pack(even 2.1A kind), PC etc. The slow USB charging message always comes up. However charging with the Nokia charger 1.8A is fine though. But, I remember it used to charge fine with most places, only recently I noticed the message showed up more frequently. Also, any app like Ampere on Android for windows phone? It is useful to see the actual amp during charging.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure if this is related more to Denim update or enabling "Hey Cortana" but now, when I press the power on button I see the top indicators show up immediately, then after about 10 seconds the rest of the main screen displays.. Subsequently, pressing power off/on will resume immediately, but after a few minutes the same behavior occurs again.

The post is set to "private" so that no one but me can see it. I can find no way to edit this in the app so I have to go to a computer and open Facebook in a browser to fix it.

I recently went on a concert cruise, and everything during the day is stunningly crisp and detailed (audio is INSANE, by the way. SO good. View 1 Replies View RelatedI get very obvious scanlines when I use a 4 second shutter speed when I want to take pics of the night sky, or very dark rooms without using flash. My past Lumia 720 did a much better job and could actually take photos of the night sky with the stars and clouds, even at midnight.
Here are some examples.

Pictures taken with a shutter speed of less than 2 seconds come out fine, and daylight photos are flawless.
I just picked up two new nokia icons off ebay.. it was listed as new at least.. came in a box etc..
If i plug it in to charge.. it charges at about 1% per hour if that.. turn the screen on and it drops several percent,. use it unplugged and it rapidly discharges maybe 15% or more in a very short period of time.
Im guessing i got a bad batch?
Its very odd that both phones exhibit the same behavior.. and just for kicks i left 8.1 on one and put 10 on the other.
Tried for what seems like over a week. Upgrade tries but always stops and reboots to 8.1. What, if anything can I do to get it to load?

However, I want to add a new contact to the cars phone book. I go to the contact on the Icon...select share the contact...choose via Bluetooth....but the Bluetooth connection for the car does not show up to select. This is very strange since the phone and the car are already connected via Bluetooth.

I logged on to my Live account and there is a device back up on there but how do I install it back to the phone. I hope my contacts are stored in there. Anyways when the phone rebooted i went through the how set up process and it new installed it. Its like a factory fresh phone. No app, no contacts, nothing.

I would like to plug the phone into the computer to put music on the phone, how can I get the computer to see it as a phone, or storage device rather than a camera? View 7 Replies View RelatedA few days ago I woke up late as my alarm didn't go off. I had it set for 640am on weekdays and have been using it this way since I bought it in July. I pulled the phone off the charger and the screen would not wake up, it seemed dead. So I held down power and volume and it reset and came up fine. Until it happened again the next day... Now, I had woken up around 530am and checked my phone for the time, it was fine then, I went back to sleep and when I woke up after 7 (late again for work) the phone once again, would not wake up and I had to reset it.
So, I went to work and did a full software reset and went through setting up my phone. I set my alarm for 5 minutes earlier, 635am and went to sleep without plugging it in(it was about 80%). This morning my alarm went off fine, and I hit snooze as I normally would... then woke up after 7 to find my phone again locked up(Snooze alarm failed to sound), unresponsive and I had to do a hard reset.
Something weird has started happening to my Nokia Icon. It's been working great but lately I wake up to a frozen phone! I go to sleep, and it's working normally, then in the morning I push the "wake" button and the screen comes on, usually showing a time from a few hours earlier, and then it's frozen. I have to do a reset to restart the phone and then it works fine. I thought at first it was because I was leaving it on the charging pillow but it happens even if it's just sitting on the table.

The song will sometimes breakup or skip, almost like an old record with a scratch. Despite reminiscing about the good old days of record albums, this is a real nuisance.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWell on a call the other night I tried to access my contact list, it keep putting me back to the call screen, (caller id, speaker phone, mute, etc.) but no contact list icon, so you have to hit home, then people, then name , and open the contact to retrieve the number. tedious to say the least. and it's bad enough, but half way though the process it kicks back to the call screen, now its frustrating. I had to call them back.
I salved the problem by put my contacts in a folder on my start screen. simple enough , but I still had to open the folder, and each contact to retrieve the number. Well I was watching the folder cycle though the names, it came to me, why not add the number with the name , John 123-123-123, (if you want the number above the name add it first), now the live tile will cycle though showing the name and phone number, open up the folder and you get all the names with number in front of you.
I am having an issue where the windows phone app tries to sync it sync the whole playlist over but before it use to only synced the newly added songs to the playlist I created...
