Turn Off Hourly Chime On IPhone?
Aug 30, 2014My iPhone sounds a chime on the hour and quarter hour, but only certain times of the day. I've searched how to turn this off, and cannot find how to. I have NOT installed an alarm app.

Jan 22, 2010the phone keeps restarting itself (it is now up to 5 times a day if not more!!!), and at night it even turns itself off (I mean I wake up in the morning and the phone is off). The other bug is that I cannot exit applications through the "open apps" menu (which is accessed by long-pressing the menu button). When I try to exit an application through there the phone crashes.
I did hard reset, soft reset, formatted E drive (each of those several times btw) and none of this helped. I took it to the nokia care center (the only one in Israel BTW!) and they said that they've never heard of those problems and it shouldn't happen, so they reinstalled my firmware. After that didn't work, I came back to them and they tried reinstalling the firmware again (they thought something maybe went wrong last time) and that didn't work either................

May 21, 2010Has anyone ever seen this notification before? It doesn't seem to link to anything, and only a BP gets rid of it. It always comes back within an hour or two though. It chimes like an SMS when I get it.

Took out of Christmas wrapped box, folllowed instructions to plug in and charge. When I try to switch phone on I get a display icon of a phone, and behind it, a large triangle containing exclamation mark!

I downloaded Sony Ericsson PC Companion. This eventually recognized that my phone was actually connected to my pc by USB, but then simply recommended I try re-inserting the battery.

Feb 9, 2012Many peoples phones wont switch on. My x10 mini pro refuses to shut down!!
I power down and the phone switches off, but then switches itself back ON after a few seconds. The only way to fix this is by taking the battery out for a second and then re-inserting it. Once Ive done this, it will not switch on until I press the power button!

Oct 14, 2010A few days ago the battery completely discharged and the phone switched off so i recharged it but initially i couldn't turn it on, it kept vibrating but the screen remained black. After several attempts (startup screen appearing but shutting off) i got it to turn on but the touch screen wasn't responding, i couldn't unlock the keypad. I was beginning to think my phone was bricked but taking the battery out and reinserting it seems to have sorted things out. Now i'm reluctant to let the battery fully discharge in case it happens again and i can't recover the phone!
Is this a bug caused by the update? I've read of others having similar issues. Yesterday for a few hours i couldn't dl apps from the store which is why i ask as similarly others have had this issue since updating. My X10 came with the update but was fine up until then.

May 9, 2012I have an iPhone 4s (Verizon). I had recently purchased what was described as an OEM screen plus LCD after I had cracked my factory screen. After replacing the screen and LCD such features as the side volume controls, vibrate switch, and proximity switch (dimming after accepting a call) have stopped working. I double checked to see that all of the connectors were pushed on correctly and they were. Is it possible this may not be an OEM screen and causing the problem or is there a piece of the hardware that I may have damaged that controls all of these functions (i.e. motherboard)?

Apr 9, 2011So of course there's switch mode from work and "play". I have this issue where when I switch from one the theme changes and if I switch back the theme doesn't change. I thought this would be fix, but I guess I was the only one with this issue. Just updated to .54. I'm of course not going to do anything about it I'll just work with it. Jul 30, 2010I have an 5230 model wich is working properly, expect one thing, when I switch it OFF, after it takes plenty of time while I can switch ON again. I keep pushing ON button for seconds (as in the manual) till the buzzer and NOKIA logo coming on screen but after 10-15 sec the screen turn dark again and nothing. Mobile is switched off again. I should do every time that process again for ages while finally it switch on.

May 3, 2012I have a BH-111 that I can't seem to switch off. I have been using it for about 2 months without issue. Earlier this week I let it drain down totally and recharged it fully overnight. Today when I tried to turn it off following my daily commute to work, it refuses to turn off. The usual holding the power button untl the light turns red works, but the BH-111 then flickers and shows the green light continuously again.
After checking the manual on nokia.com there doesn't appear to be a reset.

Nov 25, 2012Got my Lumia 920 yesterday from Phone4u in the UK, worked fine all day yesterday right up to going to bed, but woke up this morning to find it dead. Pressing the power switch won't bring it back to life. It doesn't yet have a sim in it, as I'm waiting for a new 3G micro sim from Orange, so its currently only working through my WiFi.Reading the advice given on the forums here I tried holding the power and volume buttons down for 10 seconds, for what I assume is a soft reset, that has brought it back to life, and it's now working.I found this reset my date and time - without realising it - which was causing an error when synchronizing mail with Google.

When i switch on the mobile its automatically switch off and then on again. It Atuomatically Switch on and off again and again many times till it gets ON fully. someone told me that its software get corrupted you may need to flash out the software and re-install.
