Nokia Lumia :: 920 Won't Switch On

Got my Lumia 920 yesterday from Phone4u in the UK, worked fine all day yesterday right up to going to bed, but woke up this morning to find it dead. Pressing the power switch won't bring it back to life. It doesn't yet have a sim in it, as I'm waiting for a new 3G micro sim from Orange, so its currently only working through my WiFi.Reading the advice given on the forums here I tried holding the power and volume buttons down for 10 seconds, for what I assume is a soft reset, that has brought it back to life, and it's now working.I found this reset my date and time - without realising it - which was causing an error when synchronizing mail with Google.

how to switch to 4G ? ...tried by entering from settings then cellular then maximum speed connection it only showed 2G and 3G.... My phone is Lumia 920

I would like to have an option that my Lumia 710 switches off automatically at 23:00 and switches on at 07:00, to save battery and avoid disturbance during the night if someone calls by mistake.I don't see it available in Settings and haven't found any app which would do that.

When I make a phone call, or accept a phone call, it seems my phone locks the screen completely, as if I had it next to my ear (i.e. the proximity sensor), even when I don't have it anywhere near my head.
I cannot end a phone call, or switch to loudspeaker etc. - nothing.

Is there anyway to disable the auto switch off of the auto switch off feature of the Internet Sharing on the Lumia 710?The reason I ask, is that I want to set this up as my main Internet connection at home using the Three UK One Plan Unlimited Data plan with the phone linked via Internet Shaing to a range extender which all my family can then connect to but the Internet Sharing keeps switching off after a few minutes of inactivity.

Today evening I updated my 1020 to WP 8.1 update 1. Everything so far I can test is running fine. But I am not able to switch off my phone. When I hold lock key and slide down screen,then instead of shutdown, my 1020 automatically restarts.

My Lumia 1020 screen went black earlier and the phone switched off. It won't switch back on and soft resets are having no effect. The Windows light isn't coming on when I connect it to the charger or a computer.
The phone was charging and in use when it switched off. I've had some problems with it recently (mainly it freezing and needing a soft restart) but nothing like this.

3gs does not respond to on-off switch, ring/silent switch or volume buttons. It will not turn off.
I let the phone deplete its battery which didn't take very long but the problem persists.

I have an iPhone 4s (Verizon). I had recently purchased what was described as an OEM screen plus LCD after I had cracked my factory screen. After replacing the screen and LCD such features as the side volume controls, vibrate switch, and proximity switch (dimming after accepting a call) have stopped working. I double checked to see that all of the connectors were pushed on correctly and they were. Is it possible this may not be an OEM screen and causing the problem or is there a piece of the hardware that I may have damaged that controls all of these functions (i.e. motherboard)?

So of course there's switch mode from work and "play". I have this issue where when I switch from one the theme changes and if I switch back the theme doesn't change. I thought this would be fix, but I guess I was the only one with this issue. Just updated to .54. I'm of course not going to do anything about it I'll just work with it. Seeing that nothing else is wrong with my phone but that. Which is GOOD. Anyway wanted to see if and one else has this issue. I have an 5230 model wich is working properly, expect one thing, when I switch it OFF, after it takes plenty of time while I can switch ON again. I keep pushing ON button for seconds (as in the manual) till the buzzer and NOKIA logo coming on screen but after 10-15 sec the screen turn dark again and nothing. Mobile is switched off again. I should do every time that process again for ages while finally it switch on.

I have a BH-111 that I can't seem to switch off. I have been using it for about 2 months without issue. Earlier this week I let it drain down totally and recharged it fully overnight. Today when I tried to turn it off following my daily commute to work, it refuses to turn off. The usual holding the power button untl the light turns red works, but the BH-111 then flickers and shows the green light continuously again.
After checking the manual on nokia.com there doesn't appear to be a reset.
how to get it to turn off, or is it faulty and in need of a return?

i have Nokia E71 , from last 2 weeks my mobile goes switch off after everycall. When i end any received or dialed calls it goes switch off automatically & turn on back automatically.i have also tried it after removing my memory card but same problem.

I'd NOKIA 2310. I'm using this for the last 3 years. I'd never attached this fone with Computer.But now-a-days I'm having some strange problem.
When i switch on the mobile its automatically switch off and then on again. It Atuomatically Switch on and off again and again many times till it gets ON fully. someone told me that its software get corrupted you may need to flash out the software and re-install.
I need to know how to fix this problem? Is there any software available by Nokia to flash the software and re-install it? I already reset it factory default I also tried the 3 button reset but both does not work for me.

X6 Alarms, how do they work. I see it can take multiple alarms (one up on Blackberry), BUT how do you switch them off, or snooze? When the alarm goes off, a partly lit screen appaears with a STOP and SNOOZE button on the touch screen. Tapping either does nothing. Even unlocking the phone on the side slideer and then taping on these two tough screen button does nothing!. Only recourse is to click on the Red Telephone button, which seems to have the same effect as a snooze button. Still no idea how to actually switch it off, and tend to go into alarms and delete it or reset it to a prior time. Also do alarms that are set for "Weekdays" stay, or do you have to reset (re create) the alarm each time.

After trying to update my C7 to the latest Symbian Anna software on my PC from OVI suite, the installation when halfway through suddenly stopped and would not complete. The handset now does not power on at all. You feel a vibrate when pressing the power button, but the phone does not boot. Tried taking battery off, re-installing but still no joy.

whenever i start some of my phone applications, like web, make a call, receive a call, start maps, my phone automatically switches off even if the battery is full. And when i restart my phone, it switches off again after displaying the nokia logo or just after the main screen is displayed. The same process continues repeatedly. Is my N8's battery not working correctly?

Took my n8 to the local Nokia care center for repair under warranty, received phone back said they flashed phone software and whilst in the shop the phone switched itself off. This was the problem it was sent in for repair. Now they say its the battery that needs to be replaced. phone will not switch on again.

I like my e73 that i got a part of t-mobile upgrade with full price option. i like the fact that it quickly connected to the web etc usnig WiFi inside my house - i had some hiccups connecting at other places and checking my gmail using WAP. but a bigger problem, when i head out of my house - my e73 phone goes from wifi (pink hotspot tmobile circle) to 3g - i live in dallas fort worth metro area. i see many bars (horizontal lines stacked) to show a good 3g reception. after i have crossed the street corner, my cell phone is not able to go through the contacts book to call someone. as soon as i reboot the cell ph, it is all normal. making contacts, other folders run on memory card memory, did not fix it. i have hte latest patches - all got thro wifi.

I've got an e52 but the only way to type in sec. Language while writing a message is: Option-> Input Options-> writing language-> primary writing language (which must be changed to new one)so there is no use of second. lang. or at least I don't know how to switch quickly between primary and second language without going that path.

I bought an E72 a few weeks have simply love it.However this morning I decided to transfer some photo's to my computer. I turned off the phone removed the memory card and later on I put the memory card back and tried to switch the phone on.
The phone now just won't switch on, I have tried removing the battery and leaving it for an hour but with no luck.

Ovi Maps 3.04 seems to work well on my E72. At first I got spoken navigation instructions, both from the phone speaker and a connected Bluetooth device SuperTooth. Somehow these instructions disappeared and a symbol, a faint crossed-out loudspeaker, appeared in the top right hand side of the screen. So I probably inadvertently switched off the spoken instructions, but I cannot find how to switch them back on. The manual doesn't mention the possibility nor the symbol.
