i hav a porsche cayyene 2010 with a usb port in it. when i connect my n97 mini to the usb port i have to select between pc suite, media transfer, image transfer and mass storage which one shall i select because i want to hear the music i play on my n97 mini throuh my car speakers.

My phone errors out when I setup the account through the phone. Koodo does not allow setting it up through a browser. View 4 Replies View RelatedI have recently purchased this 9700 (3 weeks ago) and am generally very pleased with the device. BUT If I leave the BB 9700 connected overnight to the computers USB Port for charging, and, obviously, after a few hours the computer will go to sleep, thus turning off the power to the USB port In the morning I find that the BB is: Off and will not turn on, unless it is power reset. In other words I have to open up the back and pull the battery for a second then after It is put back in the red light will display nevertheless it will turn on and be fine once it boots back up. There are no other indications or problems. I notice that other people have similar complaints with their BB's.

So, 2 months ago, We went to the local Nokia Care Point (there is only one in Guadeloupe). We went today to this shop to have news about my mobile and, the guy explained me that the nokia's factory bring them up the phone and could'n repair it... He gave me back my phone, but he didn't give me back my poor little micro-USB port.
So, I have 2 questions :
First : what are the solutions proposed by Nokia for the customers in French West Indies (Guadeloupe and Martinique) ?
Second : why do you propose low quality services for us (comparatively with "normal" customers from France) ?
I will be getting this phone tomorow, and would like to know, is it safe to connect it via the 3.5mm cable to car head unit aux port, and use it as a music player.I have an now quite old Pioneer head unit, which doesn't have USB port, so playing music from CDs is a pain, and of course playing it through phone would make lifa a lot easier, but I don't want to damage it in the process.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI was able to charge my lumia 900 with my car (Toyota Prius 2010) USB until the latest firmware upgrade. Only catch was to use original cable came along with phone. It didn't accept any other micro USB cables. But after the latest update even the original cable doesn't work! All the cables works well to charge the phone when connected to laptop. I am having hard time using it as i frequently travel.Ideally i should be able to charge with any micro USB cable in the car. Could you guys suggest any workarounds or fixes?Not to mention my iPhone was perfect in USB recharge though it is a slow recharge.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy previous Nokia 9500 and E90 both played ringtone and alarm tones from main phone speakers even when connected to a bluetooth headset, but the N900 seems to re-direct all sounds exclusively to the headset.This is a problem since there are times when I remove the headset and then I miss calls and alarms unless I disconnect the bluetooth headset each time. It is not convenient to have to repeatedly connect and disconnect the bluetooth device.Is there any hope that this is not the intended functional design, and that it may be changed in the future? Currently, the N900 is not proving to be useful for me as a telephone.

I found out that when I played songs in the video, there is no sound either. However, I could hear the songs and calling, sms tones ringing when I plugged in my headphone. Just in 3+ weeks USB port metal shield in phone was ruptured from phone circuit board and metal holding came out with the cable. Board was not damaged as I could get USB working by keeping cable in manually in right position but as it was not secured it stopped working as soon as phone moved even slightly. Using Nokia Comes with Music/Ovi store during Xmas heavily I connected/disconnected usb 200+ times in this short time frame.
Nokia repair shop took the phone for repairs for over 5 weeks and surprised by a billed (40 Euros) statement that it can't be repaired satisfactorily. It's not within Nokia limited warranty terms and I should by a new phone! I can't complain as consumer as I bought phone for my company and can't use my private insurance to cover replacement. As I bought it via an operator I'm wondering whose Quality Assurance I should now complain. As a telecoms consultant I've advised several equipment manufacturers on quality assurance but this really puzzles me.
I had to do a hard reset to my nokia X6 today and before i did i backed up the phone using content copier. After the restore, i tried several times to restore my contacts and messages back but keeps failing? Worst case senario is there anyway to get the contact info out of the .nbu file?

When I have enabled my WLAN and try to connect an internet based app or open my browser the WLAN isn't always the connection that the phone chooses to connect with. Is there anyway I can force this?
