I am using windows 7 and been having trouble for staying connected to internet from my laptop through n97 3g network.am using PC suite n it says internet by itself is disconnected and then i have to reconnect it using the pc suite.

WEP security type connection. I've also reset my network connectiions as I do not see a forget this netwrk connection button.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am wondering if anyone else has problems keeping wireless connected to WatchGuard firewalls since the ICS update. I have an XTM 23-W and an XTM 26-W both running the latest WatchGuard firmware, version 11.6.1. I have a DROID 4 that was recently updated to ICS.Ever since then, I cannot get it to stay connected to either XTM firewall on any access point (each device has 3 available APs). It will connect, authenticate, get an IP address, and work fine for 30-45 seconds, then disconnect, reconnect, and go through the whole process over and over again.The phone works fine at Starbucks (open networks), and it works at two different locations with two different Netgear wireless routers both using WPA2-PSK with AES, the same as the WatchGuard units.I have tried using 802.11 ngb, just gb, and b by itself. When using ngb, it does it about every 30-45 seconds, with gb it makes it as much as 90 seconds, and b only does it even more frequently. With an open network, it does it every 30 seconds or so.Changing channels from Auto (it was on 11) to 2 or 9 made no difference.Changing from WPA2-PSK and AES to an open network made no difference.Having only one AP active (they have 3), regardless of which one, made no difference.On my Netgear WNR3500L at home using WPA2-PSK with AES (the same as the WatchGuard units), it works fine.I cannot figure out why this phone will not stay connected.
View 3 Replies View RelatedNext couple of months I'll be staying in a house with no Internet access, yep it does exist. But I'll be in a built up area so should be 3G, anyway so plan to teether that. I've been looking at the options and a tenner a month seems alright. But you only get 3GB for that. But just a bit of internet surfing, IM, etc would that probably be ok? I know its easy to underestimate what you use. But not sure I'll have that much time to use it at any rate as at work I'll obviously use their internet, it's only when I'm at the flat! Also anyone used the o2 service, any good? Easy to set up?

I am connected to wifi and up till about 3 days ago everything was working fine, now it shows I am connected, but I can only get on internet for about 5 mins, I have to shut off all my connections then reconnect them for it to work again.

My phone (E72 - 1, ver 031.023) connects perfectly etc. My problem is that I want to install the latest ovi maps for my phone. Now, according to OVI Suite, my phone has "ALL" maps on it. But I cant see them (when accessing GPS)
Secondly, OVI Suite tells me: your computer is not connected to then internet, when I clearly am. Are there any settings I need to adjust so that the program "Sees" my connection? I cannot connect thorugh my device, as it always tells me: Unable to establish network connection. Please check that your settings are correct etc..." what settings? where do I adjust these?

Specifically, people who call me hear an echo during phone calls. Somebody told me that it almost sounds like they're on speaker phone. View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought a Nokia E72 two weeks back. Don't have much problems with it. Its a great phone. The only problem I see here is with battery life. Before the phone release it was said that the phone will have 11hr of battery back on call. I was expecting the battery to stand for 3+ days with normal usage, but I am really disappointed by nokia it hardly goes for 2+ days. Any one have any trick to make the battery stay longer or any way to handle the phone which will keep the battery well. The second problem I see with phone is the GPS does not seem to be working. But when I use some external application that uses GPS, it works. I am using google maps which works awesome.
I will keep posting for any new problem encountered. One more big question is that , when the new firmware will get released, how do we install it on phone, do we loose data on phone, do we loose any functionality? Can a firmware resolve the battery issue? I found a nice site where we have many free awesome softwares for nokia e71. www.getjar.com. Every possible software is available here. just set your phone model, and the site will have everything compatible to the phone. Nice web site, I really liked it.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've had my nokia n97 mini for just over a month now and love it! but just a small issue with the apps.i've downloaded a couple but they havent appeared in my apps folder.so i went into : menu > settings > application mgr. > installrd apps most of the apps have what looks like a puzzle peice with a small red square in the bottom right corner of the "puzzel peice", however, the apps i have downloaded but werent showing in the apps folder had a little blue square instead of red.so im not sure what that means and i've searched the internet but could'nt find an answer! So if you can understand what im talking about your help would be much appreciated!

Earlier BBM stopped working so I turned the phone off and BBM came back however now I can't use the internet or any of the applications I've downloaded. When I go to the Service Status it says Blackberry Internet Service is not connected however I can still use BBM. I'd like to know how to get connected to the Blackberry Internet Service again

A month ago my bbm ran out, they sent me a few texts saying we have tried and failed to take £5 for bbm (vodafone) i was then opted out of Blackberry services. Two days ago, i topped up £15 pounds rang them up and opted back in. They took my £5 and left me stranded, i cant access bbm or internet, when i login to blackberrys mobile site i get a pop up saying this "Your blackberry R internet service account is suspended or de-activated please contact 191" bla bla bla. Well i done that and they said they can't do anything about it. I followed the steps on vodafones troubleshooting i.e regerstering host etc* all failed .

They did turn it on but when I was connected I couldn't use my internet/Browser, which meant it was useless anyway! When I asked them to fix this I ended up being disconnected from the BIS again....but again they say I am connected. My service status confirms I'm not connected to the BIS. I've tried numerous battery pulls and I've had their tech support on speed dial for the last week.which has done no good!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been having a problem for some time now with my BB internet service: I can browse the internet and send texts, and make calls, but all things such as BBM, email, and applications, will not work.
The status of the phone says that 'BB internet service is not connected'. I've talked to my mobile provider and tried to sort it out but they have no idea. The first thing they suggested was, of course, turning it on and off again. No avail. They suggested I go into 'Advanced Options' and click on 'Host Routing Table' to get it set up for Service Books, but no message comes through to the Service Book area.
I also tried doing it through my PC on the o2 BIS service, but it again said my phone was not connected to the internet service and nothing could be done. I have also tried to set up my email and the phone said they couldn't connect to the host. I've tried to update the software but no update was found.
