Is it possible to disable the Phone Data security warning and Allow connection access prompts ?, it's rather annoying, as I would like the Facebook, Accuweather and other apps to just start, without one or in facebooks case two prompts.

I tried to disable it and is not letting me, it shows the error "Unable to unlock phone".

So in the first place, there is no option to disable packet data or internet access at all. I can only choose between on demand and always online. I tried to make new hoax profiles with made up usernames and passwords for those data links and access points and set them as defaults but this phone always just connects to the internet by edge after all.
I also can't just delete my provider's access points which seem to be sitting on the sim card or however that works. On sony ericsson devices there is at least some kind of workaround which works by setting the access points to ask for a password before they actually connect but in this phone there doesn't seem to be any option to protect myself to go online by accident.
Hey, I recently got my Nokia N97 Mini, And im just wondering if its possible to disable the Camera Shutter noise whenever your taking a picture, And is it possible to turn off the Red Light when recording?
Its annoying when im trying to record something, Sometimes it will reflect off surfaces.. Also the Camera Shutter noise is annoying.. Interrupts silence when i want to take pictures , At special events.Is there a way to Disable these 2 things?
I installed Foxfi which required that I create a lock screen password before it would work. I assumed that I would be able to remove lock screen security during the times when I don't need to create a hotspot. But now it will not let me disable the security. I even uninstalled foxfi and restarted the phone but the option to disable is still greyed out. What do I need to do?
View -1 Replies View RelatedMuch to my absolute horror, my 9-year old son handed me my phone with the message 'Wiping' on the screen with a progress bar - Daddy what is this? Oh my God!!! All of my Contacts were permanently lost and I had to set up my phone from scratch again - out of box. I'm guessing it's because he tried to guess my password again. The last time he tried to guess my password about 6 months ago, the phone did not Wipe itself out. Why it would wipe itself out is totally ridiculous. If a would-be thief actually somehow guessed my password, he deserves to have my Contacts, as I choose a password that cannot be guessed. It's up to the user how secure they want their phone by choosing a password of a certain level. It's not up to RIM to choose DEFCON 1 as soon as someone exceeds the number of retries set. It makes me want to get rid of my Blackberry altogether and get a phone that has a more reasonable security measures sequence of events. At the very least, there should be some kind of warning on the screen upon enabling the 'Password Lock' feature that states, 'the phone will be wiped if the number of retries is exceeded, it is highly recommended to Backup your Data using the Blackberry Manager PC software, in order to allow your phone to be quickly configured back to the state of when you backed it up, in the event a security wipe is activated'. I learned later that this was in the manual, but who actually reads the manual? I don't even know where my manual is. If I had known this, I would have most definitely backed it up. I think that since I'm basically starting from scratch, I may as well get another phone, but not one that has this ridiculous feature like Blackberry's.

I can wipe my Blackberry using JL Commander and get it to go away, but once plug it back into my Blackberry Internet Desktop Software, it locks it again. I have removed the blackberry desktop 3 times now and reinstalled it and still the same problem.I even went as far as doing a regedit and removed all blackberry information in that. I am stumped on this one. All I can figure is there is something in my desktop computer that is putting the security back on. Again, this is a personal blackberry being used on a personal computer.

I have a Motorola Droid Turbo. I have never locked the phone. I downloaded ANDROID PAY app last night. It required a screen lock to secure credit card. I agreed and set up a pattern screen lock. I got tired of unlocking phone every time. I went to disable the screen lock and I am NOT ABLE to do that. The security settings for NONE and SWIPE have been grayed out and are no longer an option. I have removed ANDROID PAY and still have issue.
View 17 Replies View RelatedDuring my (problematic!) run this morning, I received several 'Heart rate monitor disconnected' and 'Footpod disconnected' messages through the headphones. I must have heard each message at least a dozen time. Sure enough, after having synced the run, the heart data is all over the place, with lots of 'missing' bits. Since we can't see anything footpod-related on the portal, I don't know about that one.
Now, I could probably dismiss this as a battery (in the HRM or footpod) error, but since I've *never* had this problem before, and it was happening with *both* ANT+ devices during the SAME run, I am fully suspecting the MOTOACTV to be the culprit here. And also.. the device would NOT sync to the wifi network when I got home later (this has never happened before). Tried several times. It was as if the ANT+ and Wi-Fi radios were shot. A restart of the watch got it syncing correctly...
I have recently acquired an 8820 but I cant remove the security settings. I currntly have no access to a PC to connect the device to. is there a way of removing the settings?

When I upgraded to the S6, one of the first apps that I downloaded was 360, however, whenever I attempt to delete the unwanted apps, the message I get is:
"This function cannot be used at the moment. 360 Security has not been granted root access."
The MB511 does a brief vibrate to inform me when the battery hits 15% and again at 5%. This is unnecessary to me.

In Menu/Settings/Connectivity/Packet Data/Packet data conn./ I only have 2 selections "When needed" or "Always online", what is missing is "Never". The trouble is there are lots of internet accessing options within the phone menu system that use the internet and if you accidentally select one it will go "online" without asking.

I try to remember to hit the end button every time I put the phone down, but I keep racking up internet access time. Three hours at on time and many other shorter instances as well. I know this is one of the main design features of this phone, but it's not the reason I bought it.
