I am due to pick up a new iPhone today and I am unsure how I back up my Nokia N95, I have contacts, calendar and pictures? We have an Apple Mac at home if that helps?!! I'm a bit of a techno phobe and my husband is away so can't ask him.
View 4 RepliesI am an Executive Assistant and use Microsoft Outlook on a daily basis. I have up to 3 or more different calendars created for various things. This is the same case as with my Contacts. I have a separate contact list for my boss as I do for myself. And with regard to the calendars, I do this so I can print him off a calendar at any time without it being affected by anyone else's or my own appointments showing up.
I am very familiar with Blackberry's and my work has awesomely provided me with a new BB Bold 9650.THE ISSUE: My BB is syncing all calendars and contact lists. I DO NOT want to sync all these calendars and contact lists.I just want to sync certain calendars and only certain contact lists. My BB is a crazy ol' mess with contacts showing up 2 and sometimes 3 times and the one calendar I can view on my BB has my boss' appointments with my appointments and other crazy appointments.I swear I think my appointments even have appointments. LOL! (cheesy joke).WHAT I DO KNOW: My company is using a "BES" (?) server for wireless syncing. I have already tried going into options>advanced options>default services to change the calendar I am picking up. It's stuck and I do not have the ability to change it. I am guessing it's b/c my job has the phone "locked" with an IT policy.
I have searched and searched online to try and figure out how to get around this to no avail. I spoke with Verizon and they said to contact my IT Department. I contacted my IT Department and they said to contact Verizon. BTW, the pi$$-ant in I have to work with in IT is in a wrank mood today as most days. Always testy and I would just love if I could call him up and tell his know-it-all punk a$$ what he needs to do to fix the problem. If it's something I can do on my own, that would be even better.
When I press mail contacts calendars it reverts straight back to main menu and I cant save any contacts.

Does the 920 support contact photos? When I transfer my contacts from the N9 to the 920 will the 920 also import the contact photos? If I sign in to my Microsoft Account will it automatically sync my contacts to the Cloud (Outlook.com) Or is this user defined? If it does sync will I lose all of my contact photos because Outlook.com doesn't support photos (other than those it 'imports' from Hotmail or Outlook profiles).

Normally I wouldn't sweat loosing pictures, but these are very important to me.It restored every picture up until the backup I did before I left Sunday morning. I have tried A few different backups, one I made before I erased and synced my phone(new computer, old one was my work computer, no access to it).

e.g. today is 1/1, I can only see the earliest appointment on 18/12 (last 2nd Sunday)
When I first heard that Symbian^3 on the N8 would support multiple calendars I was under the impression that I finally could sync all my iCal calendars with my N8. But I just can't get this feature to work (iSync plug-in version is 2.0).
Calendar entries made on my Mac still show up under the "PC Suite" calendar on the N8.

Has Apple stopped supporting the sync of the Contacts from the iPhone 3G (running 4.2.1) to the iMac's Address Book with Lion (running 10.7.3)? Because when I sync using iTunes 10.6.1 the Address Book in the iMac doesn't get updated and since the iCloud's Contacts depend on what's on OS X's Address Book, that doesn't get updated as well.

So my sister recently lost her phone, but needs a few pictures from her phone on my phone to use. We both have iPhones. We both have on the option where iCloud will sink very often and back up her phone. I know that I could restore my phone with her information and get them that way, but I'd rather not make my phone essentialy hers just to save a few pictures. Is it possible to get just the picrures of hers onto my phone or just the select few pictures onto my phone without restoring her iCloud back up onto my phone?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Nokia C5-00 was suddenly switch off, i gave it to nearest nokia care, i tried to restore backup the contacts(which i took from my phone option) from my memory card to system and tried to open the contacts in notepad, but all the contacts are in unreadeable format. see the attached contact which i got from my mobile after taking the backup and let me know a solution to open all the contacts. Since i lost all my contacts from my phone i need it badly.
I am having 356 contacts totally, all ar opening like same in some encoded format.

I also tried to restore specific items.... the option to restore contacts does not allow me to tick it for restoration. I have a Bold 9700, abt 2.5 yrs old. Due to some glitch the complete contacts list is in the back-up, my google sync has only half !!
