Jul 6, 2010I have lost ~20 pictures I took during my family's 4th of July event this weekend. It was the first time they have met my 17 month old daughter. Normally I wouldn't sweat loosing pictures, but these are very important to me.It restored every picture up until the backup I did before I left Sunday morning. I have tried A few different backups, one I made before I erased and synced my phone(new computer, old one was my work computer, no access to it).

Jun 2, 2014So my sister recently lost her phone, but needs a few pictures from her phone on my phone to use. We both have iPhones. We both have on the option where iCloud will sink very often and back up her phone. I know that I could restore my phone with her information and get them that way, but I'd rather not make my phone essentialy hers just to save a few pictures. Is it possible to get just the picrures of hers onto my phone or just the select few pictures onto my phone without restoring her iCloud back up onto my phone?

Apr 20, 2012Yesterday i had restore my phone due to it crashing. I also couldn't turn it off because my lock button is broken.I was advised to restore it.I used the option keep all media. After the restore it asked me if I wanted to backup from the icloud which was last done at 9:30 that morning! However no pictures or video have gone to the camera roll.
Pictures have appeared on photostream so they are ok. But from my understanding Icloud does backup video but just not onto photostream. how to get the videos back.?

Apr 29, 2012I have been backing up an iPhone 4 to iCloud for a while. I then purchased a new iPhone 4 as the old one was damaged, and set it up as a new phone. I haven't got around to setting up icloid backup yet. I now realise I want some data from an app in the old backup. Here is what I propose to do:
1. Backup new iPhone to iCloud
2. Restore new iPhone from old backup
3. Use the app's 'Email me my data feature' to get a copy of the DB
4. Restore new iPhone from new backup
Clearly I can only do this if during step 1 it doesn't overwrite the old backup. Can I have two separate backups?

Jun 27, 2012I just updated to iOS 5.1.1 on my 3GS phone, previously using 5.0, while plugged into the computer and iTunes 10.6.3. I had the phone set to backup to iCloud, and ran a sync operation before updating.Does that not also create a backup?When the restore process began, it asked if I wanted to set up as a new phone or restore from backup. However the list of available backups did not have anything from today.The last one listed was from October 2011.So I cancelled that operation, went through the new phone setup and then it asked if I wanted to restore from iCloud. So I chose the most recent iCloud backup which was from around 6 AM this morning. Now it is in the process of downloading all my apps, pics, and perhaps music as well. I don't know but it's going to take HOURS to finish this.
Anyway I opened some apps that have already downloaded, and some app data appears to be intact. But other apps have nothing after October 2011. And I'm talking apps that have tracked my fitness and workout progress over the past 6 months, bike rides in the past few months, car fuel fillup and maintenance history since October, I'm talking LOTS of data that appears to be gone.What did I do wrong here? Did I not do what I should have done regarding backups? What is the point of backing up to iCloud if it's not going to back up all my app data?

If i email or text a photo to someone they are all named photo.jpeg other iphones have a format like IMG00001 and IMG00002. Huawei Nexus 6P :: TWRP Data Backup Didn't Backup Lock Pattern
Nov 17, 2015I reflashed all the factory images to my Nexus 6P (except userdata), and then restored a TWRP backup of the data partition. This worked, my phone boots up and obviously has my installed apps, etc. But... on the Nexus 6P when you restart the phone you have to enter your lock pattern or PIN. My phone was previously configured with a pattern. It seems the TWRP data backup didn't backup the lock pattern, because it doesn't recognize my pattern.
My fingerprint is recognized, but on the Nexus 6P you still have to enter the lock pattern or PIN when you first reboot. So, I have no way to get into the phone. I tried setting a new lock screen password with Android Device Manager, but it doesn't work. I still get the screen asking for the lock pattern. Is there any way I can get into my phone without blowing away all the data?

I clicked OK and then it comes up with another message and it says Backup completed ... click OK .So is it just one theme that's odd and not being backed up?
