How To Transfer Pictures On ICloud Backup To New IPhone
Jun 2, 2014
So my sister recently lost her phone, but needs a few pictures from her phone on my phone to use. We both have iPhones. We both have on the option where iCloud will sink very often and back up her phone. I know that I could restore my phone with her information and get them that way, but I'd rather not make my phone essentialy hers just to save a few pictures. Is it possible to get just the picrures of hers onto my phone or just the select few pictures onto my phone without restoring her iCloud back up onto my phone?
Yesterday i had restore my phone due to it crashing. I also couldn't turn it off because my lock button is broken.I was advised to restore it.I used the option keep all media. After the restore it asked me if I wanted to backup from the icloud which was last done at 9:30 that morning! However no pictures or video have gone to the camera roll.
Pictures have appeared on photostream so they are ok. But from my understanding Icloud does backup video but just not onto photostream. how to get the videos back.?
When setting up my new iPhone 4s, should I restore from icloud or itunes backup? Or set up as a new iPhone? The phone number is staying the same from my iPhone 4.
I have been backing up an iPhone 4 to iCloud for a while. I then purchased a new iPhone 4 as the old one was damaged, and set it up as a new phone. I haven't got around to setting up icloid backup yet. I now realise I want some data from an app in the old backup. Here is what I propose to do:
1. Backup new iPhone to iCloud
2. Restore new iPhone from old backup
3. Use the app's 'Email me my data feature' to get a copy of the DB
4. Restore new iPhone from new backup
Clearly I can only do this if during step 1 it doesn't overwrite the old backup. Can I have two separate backups?
I have lost ~20 pictures I took during my family's 4th of July event this weekend. It was the first time they have met my 17 month old daughter. Normally I wouldn't sweat loosing pictures, but these are very important to me.It restored every picture up until the backup I did before I left Sunday morning. I have tried A few different backups, one I made before I erased and synced my phone(new computer, old one was my work computer, no access to it).
Message says "The certificate for this server is invalid. You might be connecting to a server that is pretending to be setup.cloud.com which could put your confidential information at risk"
i have a new device and when i tried to backup from icloud i couldn't find the last backup. the newest backup was blank when i plug the new device in, and i need the backup i did yesterday.
My iPhone is saying it cannot be backed up because there is not enough iCloud storage. When I go to Manage my stroage, it says I have 4.9 GB available of 5.0 GB on iCloud. Is there a way to get this to work?
I have recieved a replacement iphone 4s under warranty. The problem is that when I tried to restore the phone using my icloud backup all it can find is my ipad backup. There is no evidence of the iphone backup I did earlier in the day before I got the new one. They both use the same apple id, of course. Does anyone have any idea how I can find my icloud backup(s)?
Is there a way to restore my device to an old iCloud backup? Yesterday I had to restore my device with my iTunes backup and it was months old and I'm afraid that now my iCloud backup is overwritten. Is there a way to choose whick backup I want to restore and say, 2 days ago instead of the latest one?
Can I use icloud backup without getting all downloads from other authorized devices on my account?Whenever my sons download something to their devices it automatically pops up on my phone
I got an iPhone 4s in December and it was backing up to iCloud with no problems. Then in February, I got an error that there wasn't enough space for the next backup. I realised my daughter's iPod touch was using my iCloud account for backups also, so I deleted that, but still got the error. I deleted a bunch of photos, still not enough space. But I have quite a few photos, and figure I'll be taking more, so I purchased an additional 10GB of iCloud storage. It was saying I needed 7.5 GB for backup-- 7.2 GB for photos. But every time I try and backup, it fails. I no longer get the error about space, but it runs for a couple of hours, then I come back to an error message that the last backup failed. Additionally frustrating is that now it's saying it only needs 5.1GB of space-- so it looks like I probably could have just deleted some more photos and didn't need the additional 10GB.
Today I backed up my iPhone to iCloud before restoring. Now my iPhone is restoring from the Computer backup from 6 months ago, not from iCloud. How can I restore from today's iCloud backup?
Title pretty much says it. I have my backup preference set to iCloud, I lock and hard sync, yet periodically I get a message to the effect that "your device has not backed up to iCloud for ____(number of days)". I seem to be following protocol, but I must be doing something wrong. BTW, I've had some success forcing an iCloud backup by switching my prefence to the other option ( iTunes, IIRC) then switching back to iCloud backup, but, having used that approach only a few times, I'm not sure it would work consistently, and I shouldn't have to use that method, right?
Restoring from iCloud backup: I downloaded iTunes, synched my iPhone 4s, and don't see any email, contacts, calendar items, photos, videos, or text messages. The screen does say the last backup to iCloud was minutes ago, but I have no idea how to check iCloud to make sure all my stuff is there before I restore my iPhone. (I need to restore the iPhone because it's having problems and Apple told me to do that through iTunes.) Apple told me I'd see everything in iTunes and could copy the stuff over once the restore is complete, but I just don't see anything in iTunes.
I need help with my iCloud backup.I recently replaced my iPhone 4 with a brand new one, and now it is saying I dont have enough storage and I am unable to backup using iCloud. The phone still says I have data space left, and I do not have any more or less space than my last phone.
i keep getting a random pop up that says I don't have enough room to back up to icloud. I find this strange since I have no music on my phone. I do have pictures and a few videos but probably nothing like what most teens have on their phones.I would like to back up some pictures and make sure I don't loose my contacts how can I do that?
I tried to back up to my computer, to another computer (Both running windows) , tried to backup to icloud through the computers or through wifi, and none is successful .
When I enter the setting , usage, manage storage under ICLOUD and choose my phone (which was never backup) , there are backup options , however this is keep processing with no result.
I deleted something from my iPhone and wanted to restore it to the last back up from icloud. I wiped the phone, but when I restored it back, I had no contacts, notes, imessages, etc. Everything was gone.
