Nokia :: N95 8Gb - Autorotate Doesn't Work After Upgrade
Jul 5, 2010
I recently upgraded my N95 8 Gb to the newest software. Apparently it worked with no problems, but I just discovered that autorotate does'nt work now. It came with the upgrade before, and I will miss it for sure. Is it a known problem, or must I repeate the upgrade.
id like to know who has a nokia e66, performed the v.500 upgrade and has GPS that doesn't work anymore after doing the upgrade, am i the only one?? what did the new upgrade changed? how to fix this? i did all i could think of.. format memory card, reset phone, reinstall firmware etc etc. before upgrade it was working like a charm, getting signal fast and all. tried to enable and disable a-positioning, etc etc, resetted, removed battery etc etc.... and i upgraded the firmware with Nokia Ovi Suite for the note.. so the "good" stuff.
the 7.0 mpx camera app worked fine on iPhone 5 before I upgraded to iOS 8. Now the screen is black. Also won't work on 5s that upgraded to iOS 8. How can I fix this? Tried deleting and uploading again.
I got the 3.2 upgrade for my 3G Xoom a week or so ago; I understood that when the upgrade came, it would work with SD cards just like the WiFI-only Xoom upgrade. Today I stuck a SanDisk micro SD into the slot, and I got an option in "Settings" to mount the SD, but it won't mount. Neither will computer (Vista OS) recognize an SD, nor will it create a Xoom Media section in computer file explorer when Xoom is connected by USB as the Motorola help site describes; all I get is the original Xoom folder that I had pre-3.2.
I am a blackberry developer working on a recording software. Just did an OS upgrade on my 9800 when I saw an upgrade alert on BlackBerry Desktop Software. The OS after upgrade is 6.0 bundle 2342 (v184.108.40.2066 platform 220.127.116.11)Now when I run my application to do the voice record (WAV format, not AMR ), I keep getting an error "Requested bitrate is not supported", I tried different bitrate (8000,16000, 44100, 48000....), none of them supported.I used to use bitrate=8000 for recording and it worked, but now it throw above exception.I even change encoding bit from 16 to 8bit, channel from 1 to 2, didn't work.
With Android 4.4.4 my xperia Z2 screen mirroring was successfull with Samsung Smart TV.Now after Lollipop upgrade when I try screen mirroring I obtain an error message "Mirroring error. The output device doesn't support HDCP...."
The camera doesn't work. I open the camera application with both methods (button on side and icon in apps) but it does the red dot thing in the corner for about 4-6 seconds then disappears and applications tells me the app is running. I try to go to the app but it wont go on it.
The green key, dialler and contacts icon on the home screen do not work at all. I have no way of opening my dialler as there is no option for it.
I updated my firmware to v40.0.005 last week. Please be aware the problems were both there BEFORE i made the update and are still here after the update. Is there any way of doing this without soft/hard resetting. Also, does soft/hard reset mean you lose the data in an app (eg your high scores in a game like bagatelle)?
I have a nokia E71 with 300.21.012 firmware. I can not call over VOIP/SIP if there is only an EDGE data connection availible. I activated "allow voip over WCDMA" but it doesn't solve the problem. It allways says "unable to register to service".
VOIP/SIP calls over 3G work fine. Has anyone an idea how to solve that.
I bought a new C5-03 a week ago, I installed Nokia Suite and connected my phone to download and install maps for my country (Morocco). To use free GPS I followed instructions on a topic already published here, by selecting Integrated GPS only and disabled positioning server on Application settings and also disconnecting from the net. Afterwards I used Integrated GPS and finding my position was succesful. I saved it as My Home and was happy I had a functionning GPS Phone finally. A few minutes later I tried to use my GPS but it couldn't find my position.I don't understand what happened, but it already worked once for a minute before I stopped it. Why isn't working again? What are the default settings for Integrated GPS to connect without using internet? To make sure if something isn't OK.
i have Nokia E66 RM-343...i updated it to the last firmware , i used Nokia PC Suite To Restore my data : contacts, messages ,emails message , setting , bookmarks , etc
Everything is well but when i press the contact button it doesn't work , when i go to communication > Contacts also no response noticing that before the restore it opened but there was no contacts.when i receive or make a phone call or a message , the contact name appear
So I have bought E72-1 (RM-530) and it works fine with my GSM card but it does not work with WCDMA card (no login to network). I am surprised because I was reading specs at the Nokia website and it does state that it works with all WCDMA bands.
Ive got a problem with my space bar. Normally if i touch the left arrow under and then spacebar u get the search lamp with more symbols now i have to touch them at the same time. whats wrong? if i do the arrow first and 1 sec later the spacebar is doenst work, then got a space. My map is ALWAYS looking for GPS - and is never working. I have downloaded the maps and installed it - and it always seems to be looking. i have gone outside, and the gps signal picture is always on "white" how do I fix this? What is wrong? i have the latest fw - v31. E52 - Product code 0585050
I found lot of POIs on the map which I´m not not able to find using the search function. Eg. around the corner from my house is supermarket Billa, its POI is on map on the right place but when I try to search for Billa, I got no result at all! This is not only in this case but found more cases. How is this possible? I tried to search more POIs from the maps now and I found that I was able to find only this POIs from Lonely Planet, Michelin, WCities.. but none OVI maps own POIs. Other places like streets, squere etc are fine... Somebody with same experience. Note: I´m always online and all the maps I downloaded to the mobile.
I recently got a wireless Router and now have my own wireless network in my home. I searched for it on my N97, it found it, I added it to it's known access points and set it to connect automatically whenever needed. Here's the problem: it does connect automatically, but it only works for like 30 seconds. After that, it doesn't get disconnectted, but it doesn't work anymore either. It simply downloads no more data. The website doesn't finish loading, or if I try to acces another site, it doesn't load at all (Opera Mini gets stuck on connected). I tried to disconnect and reconnect to the network manually, and that works, but only for another 30 seconds, then the same thing happens. I tried this with the N97 integratet browser and Opera Mini, with the same results.
Mind you that I'm using the same wireless network on my laptop and it works with no problems. Also, note that I did use other WLAN networks with the N97 and they as well work with no problems. It's just my home metwork the phone seems to have issue with, and I'd like to know why, and how (if possible) i can fix this.
Hi all my girlfriend just got a nokia 7020 but the double tap feature doesnt seem to work anybody else having trouble with this??? we've checked in settings and its switched on.Hopefully somebody can help so i'll know if its a nokia problem or if i should send the phone back
Whatsapp works on 3G and WiFi but not on EDGE/GPRS. I tried reinstalling. I tried deleting account, reinstalling and re-registering. I also tried switching to 2G while it is working on WiFi.I also have updated to latest version but nothing works. It works fine on 3G and WiFi though.
since updating the sofware (knew I shouldn't have done that!) I can no longer dial people in the contacts by name, it is like the phone is searching a different contact list than before but I only have one contacts list.
i am unable to make calls. When I try to make phone call it doesn't even try to make the call. I choose a name from the address book to call and nothing happens. After restaring the phone it works fine. An even more annoying problem is that when this has happened my phone doesn't receive calls either. I've heard that people have tried to call me and it has rang normally but my phone doesn't show that someone has called me. Otherwise the phone works fine so I newer know that it is in this "problem state" until I try to make a call.Software version is 025.007.240.02
I have installed the latest version of Skype (from Ovi Store). I am able to login into my account, but calls don't go through. Even calls to Echo/Test service don't go through. All I get is a message: your call has failed to connect to Echo service.
The social app on my phone doesn't work anymore. At first, I was instructed to uninstall and reinstall the app. I did this but the new app refuses to connect to the internet. I've redownloaded and reinstalled the app several times with the same result. An error script pops up whenever I start the app, and then the app comes vs with some preloaded accounts that I can't change.
My problem in nokia c3-00 starts when i upgrade my phone into version 08.63. . My nokia chat doesnt' work. I apply Hard and soft reset but still didnt work. It's just said that ''APPLICATION NOT FOUND''. Because this application is very important to me. how to re install the old version firmware?
I have over 1,500 contacts in Outlook and has successfully synchronized them with Nokia E72 (last firmware). But quick search in Contacts application simply doesn't work - I can find only few contacts - others just dissapear when I start typing correct letters.
I tried to kill the process of this app and restart Contacts. Voila, it works correctly! But then in 5 min. I tried again and got just the same problem.Desktop quick search doesn't work too.
I've already tried to reload all the contacts in my phone - no results.
I have a Nokia E71 which as I write is not responding to any of the keys. When I turn it on it boots up and then gets to the 'Set date' window, which I can't get past because it does not register me pressing 'OK'.I think reinstalling the firmware will fix this, because before it stopped working it went through a phase of not working, and then working again, and then not.
The problem I have is that I can't select the 'PC Suite' on my phone when I plug it in because it won't let me press any keys.Any suggestions as to how I can get my computer to recognise that I have the phone connected, without having to select PC Suite on my phone?
